(Clearwisdom.net) I started practicing Falun Dafa in the fall of 1996. During the spring of 1998, I was not happy with my job and I wanted to quit. I knew it wasn't right to quit, but I couldn't get rid of that thought. I kept studying the Fa, and two or three months later, I finally broke through and was able to once again properly handle the relationship between my cultivation and my job.
After the persecution started on July 20 1999, my employer illegally detained me at my workplace for about five days. Meanwhile, they assigned a few of my coworkers to closely monitor me day and night, since they were afraid that I would go to Beijing to appeal for Dafa. During those few days, they tried to "educate" me to make me "understand the situation" and to give up practicing Dafa. At that time, nobody else in my workplace was practicing Dafa. They threatened that they would fire me if I didn't do what they told me to do. I wasn't afraid of getting fired, but I didn't want them fire me since they would be committing wrongdoings if they hurt a Dafa practitioner. Therefore, I talked to them in a peaceful and reasonable manner. I pointed out to them that it wouldn't do anybody any good if they fired me. One of my bosses asked me to resign. I refused. Later I came to realize that it was a trap. They wanted to use it to slander Dafa by claiming practitioners were irresponsible regarding their jobs and duties.
In the beginning of July 2000, I went to Tiananmen Square to appeal for Dafa. I was arrested and sent to a local detention center, where I was detained for about one month. After being released, I studied the Fa to quickly calm down. I went back to my original workplace and continued to work there. The director of my workplace wasn't nice to me at all. He refused to pay me for the month that I was illegally detained. After a few days, that person was audited for embezzlement and taking bribes. Soon after that, he was replaced by another person that I knew. I explained to him what happened. He then paid me my salary for that month. I clarified the truth to people in a way that they could understand and accept. In early October 2000, the local police came to my workplace and tried to take me to a forced labor camp. The new director talked to them and asked them to leave. He protected me from being persecuted.
In the fall of 2001, our local county held a so-called "transformation" class. Many practitioners were arrested and subjected to brainwashing. Some of the practitioners were sent to forced labor camps. Some "enlightened" along an evil path. I became anxious, and my heart wasn't peaceful. I tried to make a decision on whether I should stay at home and continue with my job or whether I should leave my home to avoid further persecution. I could tell I had the attachment of fear. Eventually, I calmed down. I continued with my job and continued to do very good work. I decided to ignore the interference. Meanwhile, I set aside more time to study the Fa, practice Dafa exercises, and send forth righteous thoughts. On my way to and from work I recited Teacher's articles and sent forth righteous thoughts. At the end of 2001, the "transformation" class was closed. We braved through another round of interference. I didn't leave home and I'm still working at my original workplace.
When I think about my experiences during the past few years, I realize that I still have many things to work on and I need to continue to improve myself. Fortunately, with Teacher's protection and guidance, I am steadily and rationally walking through a lot of interference. I will keep trying my best in doing the three things that Teacher asked us to do, so I will be able to continue on my path to a bright future.
