(Clearwisdom.net) Washington, DC, as the capital of America, faces Beijing from the other end of the globe. The small park in front of the Chinese Embassy in Washington is called "Tiananmen Garden." Over the past six years, Falun Gong practitioners have been holding many activities in the garden, calling for the Chinese Communist regime to immediately stop the brutal persecution of Falun Gong. Practitioners are there every day to peacefully appeal and send forth righteous thoughts. Each Saturday afternoon, all practitioners in Washington, DC come here to send forth righteous thoughts, practice the exercises and to peacefully appeal for an end to the persecution.
On May 14, 2005, Falun Gong practitioners arrived at the outside of the Chinese Embassy as usual to practice the exercises and send forth righteous thoughts. While doing the exercises, a heavy rain poured down, with hail. Though many practitioners had not brought rain gear, they did not withdraw. Whether Chinese practitioners or Western practitioners, young or old, everybody sent forth righteous thoughts as usual. Though soaked by the rain, everybody still persisted. After a while, the rain stopped and the sun came out.
The scene in the rain may have left a deep impression on the staff at the Chinese Embassy. No matter how frenzied and wicked the persecution is, it will become ashes in face of Falun Gong practitioners' courage and perseverance. Such persistence and sacrifice absolutely cannot be bought by paying several dozen US dollars, like the rumor being spread by some people with ulterior motives.
The scene in the rain is also a special gift that practitioners in Washington, DC offer to the sixth World Falun Dafa Day and to our respected Master.
