1. Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Li Hongwen from Zhoucun District, Zibo City, Shandong Province Is Sentenced to Four Years in Prison

Recently, Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Li Hongwen from Zhoucun District, Zibo City, Shandong Province was sentenced to four years in prison. He is currently jailed in the Jinan City First Prison. At the end of last year, he was reported to police while passing out truth clarifying materials, and was detained in Zhoucun Detention Center for almost two months.

2. Mental and Physical Tortures in Masanjia Labor Camp

My name is Zhou Yajuan. I am a female resident of Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province. I signed my name on a statement against Falun Dafa in a brainwashing class in the fall of 2000 under intense pressure. In February 2001, local police ransacked my home again, arrested me and took me to the substation, where they punched and kicked me violently. They handcuffed me together with another Falun Dafa practitioner, Ms. Li Shuying, and took us to the Lingyuan City Detention Center. Due to our illegally-extended detentions, all Falun Dafa practitioners there appealed together and we went on a hunger strike to protest. We were sent to the Lingyuan City First Detention Center for 18 days then sent back to the City Detention Center. I was sentenced to three years of forced labor after having been detained for more than four months.

On June 7, 2001, nine other Falun Dafa practitioners and I were sent to the Liaoning Province Masanjia Forced Labor Camp, where I was brutally beaten and pinched on my face and neck. The guards also handcuffed me overnight to a long bench. In 2002, the guards handcuffed me to a steel pipe and stuffed my mouth with a wide cloth belt, suffocating me until I blacked out and collapsed. One day in May 2002, the guards handcuffed me to an iron chair (1), leaving me there until my arms and legs were swollen. The ribs on the left side of my chest were very painful as well. I held a hunger strike in protest. One morning, guard Huang Haiyan (female) grabbed my hair and slammed my head against the floor very hard. Then she handcuffed me to the iron chair again, roughly tying up my already-swollen arms and legs. Another time, Huang force-fed an unknown drug to me using a wooden stick to pry open my mouth, which made my lips bleed. One day in November 2002, Huang punched and kicked me so hard that it left me rolling on the floor in pain. My face, chin, and entire body were covered with bruises from her cruel kicks. One time when I was being forced-fed, I vomited blood badly but the guards would still not stop force-feeding me. I was illegally detained three and a half years, during which time three years and four months were spent in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp.

3. Guards in Jilin Province Heizuizi Women's Labor Camp Cruelly Beat Falun Dafa Practitioners

On April 11, 2005, twelve Falun Dafa practitioners who were detained in the Second Ward of Jilin Province Heizuizi Women's Forced Labor Camp refused to do the morning exercises. They were forced to stand for an hour in the morning and another hour in the evening for several days and were physically tortured. On April 14, 2005, at 5:00 a.m., female prisoner Li Lanjun was ordered to drag Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Wang Guiqin to the hallway to beat her. She also grabbed her hair and slammed her head against the wall. The ward head Liu Lanying (female) and guard Zhang Xiaohui (female) together beat Ms. Wang Guiqin and shocked her with electric batons, leaving many wounds on her body and bruises on her chest. Her head was injured as well. Her face was swollen, her mouth was bleeding, and she had many bloody scratches on her neck.
