(Clearwisdom.net) The 610 Office arrested my mother at 7:00 p.m. on May 9, 2005, without informing our family or her workplace, or showing any documents. It wasn't until the next afternoon that we heard about it. Facing the mess left after the ransacking by the 610 Office, we felt very sad. We talk about the whole body of practitioners every day, but why didn't we pay enough attention to the situation of our own family member, who is closest to us?

Master said in "Dafa Is All-Encompassing":

"Everything you, a cultivator, encounter is related to your cultivation and Consummation, or else those things absolutely would not exist." (Essentials for Further Advancement II)

I talked to my brother and sister, both practitioners, and we decided to do the following:

1. Ask for Master's help to find fellow practitioners who spent time with my mother, and tell them this news. It was illegal for the police to take away my mother. It is the old forces' arrangement, and we need to completely deny it and suffocate the evil, not letting this loophole get bigger.

2. Communicate with the family members who don't cultivate. We need to tell them that it is not wrong to follow the principles of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." Good people are being persecuted. We need to be strong and brave when facing the policemen and the 610 Office, because whoever attacks goodness must be the evil. None of the persecutions of righteous faiths in history have ever succeeded. We need to help our family members to have righteous minds and solid confidence. This is important, because obtaining family members' support and understanding cleans our environment so that the evil will have no place to hide. We clarify the truth to non-practitioners in words that they can understand, and meanwhile we validate Dafa with our righteous minds.

3. Send forth righteous thoughts more intensively. Master said in "Righteous Thoughts":

"Dafa disciples' sending forth righteous thoughts at this special historic period--in order to reduce the evil beings' persecution of Dafa, Dafa disciples, and the people of the world--has played a very critical role."

We send forth righteous thoughts every hour and also tell other fellow practitioners to send forth righteous thoughts together, enhancing the power of the whole body. When sending forth righteous thoughts, we target the evil that interferes with our non-practitioner family members and my mother, and we also eliminate all the evil beings who interfere with this rescue.

4. Ask Master for help sending messages to my mother in prison, helping her to have righteous thoughts and solid belief.

"The Fa can break all attachments, the Fa can destroy all evil, the Fa can shatter all lies, and the Fa can strengthen righteous thoughts." ("Drive Out Interference," Essentials for Further Advancement II)

We need to help my mother to read the Fa. We need to clarify the truth when problems occur, and be dignified when taking action. We need to think of this problem comprehensively and do what we need to do in our environment.

5. Read the Fa more intensively. We need to encourage and remind each other not to forget the three things, not to be moved by Qing (emotion, sentimentality), and to be rational. We need to break through the interference of Qing, and all other notions. We need to solidify our righteous minds, as well as our belief in Master and Dafa. "Be solid and firm like diamond, or granite, and then nothing can affect you..." ("Teaching the Fa at the Western U.S. International Fa Conference")

This situation has now seen many positive changes.

Two sons-in-law of my mother, who are not practitioners, went every day to talk to the person who is in charge of this case and the people at the Procuratorate. Facing threats from the police, they said, "It is impossible for her to quit practicing." These actions made the evil fearful. The persecutors even said, "Please don't expose us on the Internet. Our supervisor is afraid of this."

We are using this situation as the starting point for clarifying the truth. We told our neighbors, our co-workers, and our relatives. We told them that the persecution is happening in the middle of their lives. We removed the facade of kindness from the evil and exposed them, giving them no place to hide. People who heard this news said, "It is sad that the police are arresting Falun Gong practitioners. The older woman was treated so unfairly. She was arrested when sleeping at home. It is so horrible." Some of them have expressed sympathy. Some people, who didn't respond when we clarified the truth before, also said, "Sue them. I know somebody in power. You should sue them. This is illegal. They should not bully Falun Gong practitioners, as they have not committed any crime." Their words, which are from deep in their hearts, moved us. We are glad that they chose a wonderful future for themselves.

We saw a lot of attachments of ours through this situation. There are many reports about persecution every day on Minghui/Clearwisdom, so why were we not alert? We didn't start paying close attention until the persecution happened to our own family members. We didn't bear in mind many of the Fa principles, which are explained explicitly, until the persecution of our family member occurred. These days, a lot of things, which the everyday person would think are impossible, go very smoothly under Master's protection, such as finding and informing the fellow practitioners, sending messages to my mother, and looking for and talking to the people in charge of this case. Even my spouse, who usually doesn't support us due to the pressure, also cooperated with us.

Let me end with Master's words:

"If upon encountering trying circumstances your thinking can be truly righteous, then, when faced with the evil's persecution and when faced with interference, just one sentence of yours fortified with steadfast righteous thoughts can instantly make the evil disintegrate (applause), and it will make those who are being used by the evil turn and flee, it will make the evil's persecution of you dissolve, and it will make the evil's interfering with you disappear without a trace. One thought born of righteous faith is all it takes. And whoever can hold firm that righteous thought and go the distance will become a magnificent god forged by Dafa." ("Teaching the Fa at the Western U.S. International Fa Conference")
