(Clearwisdom.net) My name is Mu Xiangjie and I live in Tianjin City. I am a Falun Gong practitioner. I read the article "Hao Fengjun's Secret Documents Reveal How the CCP Fears the Nine Commentaries" on the Epoch Times website. I saw my name and birth date matched the one mentioned in the article. I want to simply state my experiences in China.
Starting to practice Falun Gong
I was born on July 16, 1976. I had a narrow pharynx at birth, resulting in ear problems, such as a sunken eardrum, rhinitis and nasal polyps. My father had liver disease and so did I, and I also suffered from gastroenteritis. Because of these long-term illnesses I was often introverted, lonely, depressed and didn't like to talk. In April 1998 my condition worsened. My eyes were sore, and tears welled up whenever I opened them. My hearing also declined and I had difficulty breathing. I felt weak and went to seven hospitals, but the doctors couldn't find the cause of my illnesses. I went to a Chinese medical doctor but he couldn't help me, either. The doctor told my mother I would eventually lose my hearing. I was bedridden and became more aggressive. I lost faith in life. My family could only afford the basics and could not pay any more large medical bills. They were upset because they couldn't help me. I felt as if the world was filled with suffering, and I was very pessimistic.
In late October 1998, by chance I came across Falun Gong. After I read Zhuan Falun for the first time, miraculous changes took place. I had diarrhea for a whole day and afterward I became very healthy and could walk normally. I felt quite energetic and I could breathe unhindered. I even smiled! My family saw the changes in me and urged me to join the practice site in front of our home. I started to practice Falun Gong and felt extremely fortunate. I regained the courage to live and my worldview changed. I started to look at things with an optimistic mind.
After I started practicing Falun Gong I could live and work normally, and I no longer threw temper tantrums at my family. Before May 1999, I saved three people's lives. One of them was a girl who tried to kill herself after losing her lover, and the other two people collapsed after having a heart attack. Falun Gong changed me into a considerate person.
Incident at Tianjin Teacher's College
In April 1999, He Zuoxiu published a slanderous article against Falun Gong in the Teenager Expo magazine. I went to Tianjin Teacher's College, the publisher of Teenager Expo, to tell the editors about my experience in practicing Falun Gong and to urge them to publish a correction after learning the truth. On the evening of April 23, 1999, the Tianjin City government dispatched military police, who arrested and beat many practitioners. Four armed police officers grabbed my arms and legs and threw me out of the college. The head of the Tianjin City Police Department lied on the Tianjin City TV Station and said, "The police didn't beat or arrest anyone."
The CCP government started the bloody persecution of Falun Gong in July 1999
The state-run TV news told lies such as, "Falun Gong practitioners quit their practice in droves." On October 8, 1999, I went to Tiananmen Square to do the Falun Dafa exercises because I wanted to tell people I was still practicing Falun Gong and that what the TV programs said was untrue. Several police officers grabbed my arms and legs and put me into a police car. Officers from the Shuanghuancun Police Station sent me to the Hongqiao District Detention Center in Tianjin City and held me there for 15 days. During this period, a dozen inmates beat me ruthlessly until I couldn't turn my neck and my head trembled despite myself. I tried to teach the Falun Gong exercises to one girl and the guards savagely beat me for this. They dragged me outside and beat me. That girl was forced to wear shackles weighing about 100 jin [50 kg] in addition to having to endure mental torment. She couldn't bear it and tried to commit suicide but didn't succeed.
On October 28, 1999, I went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Dafa and was arrested. Officials from the Hongqiao District Police Department beat me and illegally sentenced me to two years of forced labor. I was sent to the Banqiao Women's Forced Labor Camp in Tianjin City.
In early January 2000, I refused to recite the forced labor camp rules and was forced to stand in the snow for one day and night, wearing very thin clothes. I was documenting the persecution facts at the labor camp and was forced to stand for another day and night in the snow, and was also sent to the Strictly Controlled Class. On January 25, two guards and seven inmates beat me for doing the Falun Gong exercises. One guard hit my nose until it was broken. They handcuffed me and threw me in the snow. The guards shocked me with two electric batons. The handcuffs cut into my wrists and left scars that are visible to this day. My little fingers are still numb. After one day they forced me to live in a cold room for six days and nights, during which time I was not allowed to wash myself or sleep. They occasionally gave me a cold steamed bun. My whole body ached and one of my hands became deformed. The skin inside my mouth shed and my teeth came loose. I couldn't stand up and almost had a nervous breakdown.
In mid-February 2000, the guards isolated me and spread rumors about me. I didn't persist with righteous thoughts due to the high-pressure persecution and wrote things I shouldn't have. In August 2000 my family paid some money for my release. I finally escaped from this hell-on-earth.
In August 2000, officer Cui from the Legal Section of the Hongqiao District Police Department phoned my home and ordered me to work as a spy. He threatened me, saying that if I refused, he would have me arrested and torture me to death. I left home at night to escape the persecution and lived on the streets.
In September 2000, I appealed for Dafa in Tiananmen Square and was arrested. The police sent me to the Tiananmen Police Department and beat me fiendishly because I refused to get into their car. They beat me until I couldn't move my upper body, except for my arms. I escaped from the police department. On November 18 I unfurled a banner on Tiananmen Square and was again arrested and sent to the Hongqiao Detention Center in Tianjin. I held a hunger strike and was forced-fed. I was illegally sentenced to two years of forced labor.
In January 2001 the inmates and two guards attempted to force me to read Dafa-slandering materials. I told them, "Falun Dafa is great. You are not doing yourself any good by making me read this." They fabricated charges against me and beat me. They then forced me to stand for one day and one night. The next morning, they tried to brainwash all the detained practitioners. I said, "Although we are held here, we have the right to speak." The guards ordered several inmates to gag me and drag me into a room. A dozen inmates beat me until I couldn't move my upper body. My mouth bled and I lost consciousness.
After mid-January 2001 I was forced to stand from 6:00 a.m. until midnight daily for two months because I refused to write a repentance statement. The nails on my big toes festered as a result. In early April, they tried to brainwash me and handcuffed my arms and legs to a bed. Two inmates pinned me down and injected me with unknown drugs. I almost lost control of my mind. In late April they held me in a brainwashing class and later transferred me to another class and forced me to do slave labor.
In mid-2001 I was transferred to another class. I refused to be brainwashed and was handcuffed. The inmates wiped their shoes with my clothes and obscenely rubbed my chest with their boots. They spit on my face and stomped on my big toes. They also pinched me all over my body. In May 2001 they held a meeting to slander Dafa. I stood up and told them they were telling lies. Several inmates on duty covered my mouth, dragged me off and beat me. In June 2001 they moved me to another class, and the inmates, incited by the guards, forced me to carry over 20 bags of peas. My upper body couldn't move afterwards.
For three years, from 2001 to 2003, the guards often ordered the inmates to watch me and not allow anyone to talk to me. They tried to break me mentally by suddenly hitting my face, not allowing me to go to the restroom, and constantly spreading rumors about me. I was forced to pick peas and slept a mere few hours in four days. A sack of peas weighed from 50 to 80 kg. I was often forced to unload a dozen sacks at a time.
On November 19, 2002, my term was illegally extended by six months. The guards lied and said, "We told her to leave but she refused; she wants to stay here." I clarified the truth to people and was handcuffed for three days and nights. Then I was beaten and handcuffed for a few days and nights because I refused to work.
During the SARS epidemic that began on May 2, 2003, I heard screaming, cursing and beatings late at night. Because I protested the use of violence to "reform" Falun Gong practitioners, I was handcuffed for 55 days straight. During this time they never took the handcuffs off: they didn't allow me to wash, to sleep, or to use the restroom without them. At the same time they brainwashed me. They stomped on and soiled my clothes and didn't let me use the restroom even during my menstrual period. I was severely traumatized, and I cannot describe in words the agony I felt.
On May 20 the authorities extended my sentence by another six months, claiming I had violated labor camp rules. When I was finally released from the handcuffs on June 26, I could not walk. Fearing that I might die, they didn't handcuff me again. During July and August 2003, the guards encouraged inmates Cao Lina and Gong Yuanhe to beat me and not let me write an appeal letter. I insisted on writing the letter, so the inmates scratched my face until it was disfigured. They also scratched the inside of my mouth and yanked out two clumps of hair from my head. When I eventually finished writing the letter, the guards secretly withheld it and didn't send it out. The two inmates were promoted to head of the cell for torturing me.
In August 2003, the labor camp authorities brainwashed me again. In mid-September, the guards said, "From now on, you are no longer a labor camp detainee." Another guard told me, "You can go home now." Yet they didn't show any intention of releasing me until October. On October 7, I walked out of the forced labor camp, but the head inmate brought me back. I tried to run out of the labor camp but they locked the front gate. They grabbed me and beat me and handcuffed me. I said to the guards, "Didn't you say I could go home?" They couldn't answer me. They removed the handcuffs at noon the next day. Someone said to me, "We didn't know the truth until you tried to get out. The guards lied to us from class to class, saying that you didn't want to leave even after they told you to leave."
When I left the labor camp on November 21, 2003, guard Han Jinling ordered several inmates to strip me of all of my clothes and take pictures of me. They wanted to check if there were large scars on my body. They wouldn't have let me go if there were, because they didn't want me to expose the persecution.
Below is further evidence of the persecution I suffered over the past few years due to the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong. The pictures are in chronological order:
Falun Gong pulled me back from the brink of a mental collapse and saved me for the second time
After my release, I could not live like a normal person. I was on the edge of a complete mental collapse and often fainted. I tried my best to control myself. I almost couldn't take care of myself and could not talk much. After reading Zhuan Falun and doing the exercises I was able to talk normally and no longer fainted. It was another miracle. However, the tortures I suffered at the labor camp had severely damaged my body, and I could not work. Many of my family members and friends misunderstood the cause of my abnormal behavior, which made the recovery even more difficult. The CCP government's brainwashing and persecution left me, an ordinary Chinese citizen in pursuit of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, with indelible scars. Many Falun Gong practitioners have been brutally tortured and killed only because they persisted in their belief. After the Cultural Revolution and the June 4 Tiananmen Square Massacre, the villainous CCP government now owes another blood debt.
