(Clearwisdom.net) On Saturday the 23rd of July, Falun Gong practitioners in London's Chinatown held activities to expose the persecution and let people know about the human rights abuses inflicted on Falun Gong practitioners by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). This event followed the candlelight vigil at the Chinese Embassy on the 20th of July, the date on which the persecution officially began in 1999.
Practitioners used various effective methods to catch people's attention and raise awareness. Passer-by stopped to look at the brightly coloured banners and watch the short movies that played continuously on a TV. The persecution in China was illustrated in great detail on the photo exhibits. Practitioners kept demonstrating the exercises while distributing leaflets and talking with people about the six years of human rights abuses that people who practise Falun Gong in China have suffered.
An old Chinese man, who has been living in the UK for many years, sighed after seeing the photo exhibition and said, "The Communist Party is so cruel. All people want to do is to practise Qigong. They do not deserve to be beaten to death." An English gentleman called Dave was shocked after learning about the truth. He took many photos of the event and the exhibits about the persecution which he promised to put on his personal website so many more people could learn about this persecution and help to end it as soon as possible.
