Facts of Persecution

1. Crimes Committed by the 610 Office at the Gezhouba Foundation Company in Yichang City, Hubei Province

During the past few years, "610 Office" personnel at the Gezhouba Foundation company and the Xiba police station have continually persecuted Falun Dafa practitioners. The perpetrators forcefully ransacked the home of 75-year-old practitioner Mr. Chen Zhian at the end of July 2005.

Mr. Li Dan, over 30, worked at the Foundation Company. He was unlawfully sentenced to 2 years in prison for going to Beijing to appeal on behalf of Falun Dafa in 1999.

Mrs. Wang Wenling, over 50, was illegally sentenced to one and a half years for going to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa in 1999. After she returned home, Cai Zilong, director of the 610 Office and the security section suspended Mrs. Wang's retirement benefits. Wang Wenling's husband and son, who do not practice, also lost their jobs.

2. Li Li Tortured at Changchun City's Heizuizi Labor Camp and the Police in Ganan County

Ms. Li Li lives in Songyuan City, Ganan County, Jilin Province. She was diagnosed by the hospital with mental illness, and her condition improved and her mentality stabilized after practicing Falun Dafa. She was taken to the detention center by police officers from Ganan County Second Public Security on November, 6, 2000. She was sentenced to one year in the Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp. Ms.Li was brutally tortured and put under great mental stress in the camp. As a result, she became schizophrenic and was released in April 2005. Later, she was arrested again by police. Her father had to pay five thousand yuan in order to take her to a hospital. The police did not release her until she was diagnosed with serious schizophrenia. She now is held in a psychiatric hospital, causing great distress to her family.
