(Clearwisdom.net) A few months ago, my husband (a non-practitioner) suggested that we pay a visit to Hong Kong. I thought it was a good idea because it would give him an opportunity to see how widely Dafa has spread outside of China, and it would encourage him to quit the evil Chinese Communist Party (CCP). At the same time, I also wanted to see how practitioners in Hong Kong clarify the truth, as encouragement for myself. There were also some human notions on my part: I wanted to see what Hong Kong was like. So I supported my husband's idea to visit Hong Kong. Although we only spent a few days there, it had a big impact on us, and I was deeply moved by the visit.
Practitioners in Hong Kong have set up display boards and banners in many of the tourist spots. Some places also have TV sets, showing truth-clarification programs. Although tourists from Mainland China do not show much emotion on their faces, nothing escapes their eyes. Some of them also privately discuss what they see. I was very much encouraged at the time, so I kept sending forth righteous thoughts to clear the evil interference, and I clarified the truth to people around me when appropriate. Here, I would like to share some of my understanding , which is also to say, "Well done!" to Hong Kong practitioners. Please kindly point out anything improper.
First of all, I would like to say to fellow practitioners in Hong Kong: the way you clarify the truth makes a great impact; never underestimate anything you are doing. Although, on the surface, very few tourists from Mainland China take truth clarification materials and most of them refuse to accept them, the practitioners are not agitated, nor do they become impatient. They only kindly tell the tourists, "Take a look, they are very good for you." However, there are also some practitioners who become worried and anxious, and some even chase after tourists and shout out, "Mainlanders, don't be so numb!" But nobody takes any notice. Practitioners have done so much to save people, yet they see little response. They must feel very sad deep inside their hearts.
I would like to tell Hong Kong practitioners that for people living in a democratic society, they may not understand the state of mind of people who have lived under the enormous political pressure of tyranny for a long time. These people are extremely fearful, and they are afraid that any tiny carelessness on their part may bring them big disasters. Even so, please do not feel dispirited or feel confused by the superficial numbness of Mainland China tourists. These are only false appearances. Your efforts in clarifying the truth will not be in vain. The big banners and posters can be seen from far away. Tourists can also see you doing the exercises and see what is shown on TV, as well as those small display boards, even though only a small number of them take a close look. Some tourists turn their heads to see those big banners or display boards with pictures as they walk past them, so they get to know some truth. There are people who refuse to see anything, but even so, for those who have been living in the cage for so long, all of this makes them feel very surprised or even shocked deep in their hearts. One female tourist in our group called out in surprise, "Good heavens! These people are so gutsy and they dare to say these 'reactionary' words. If they were in China, they would have been arrested long ago." The tour guide reminded her, " It is not because they are gutsy. This is a democratic society, and people have freedom of speech!"
Think about it. Everyone is like live media. No matter what people think or how much they understand, they will tell their families and friends about what they see as something inconceivable. This will not only help people inside China learn the truth, but it will also encourage people to think deeply: "So, people can live such a free life!" Isn't this also helping people to see through the evil nature of the CCP's tyranny?
With more and more people traveling in and out of China, the psychological impact on the Chinese people is like an invisible shock wave that is gradually spreading wider and wider. How can the evil CCP possibly block it? My husband used to be very afraid of me talking to other people about Falun Gong. Since we came back from our "sightseeing" in Hong Kong, he often talks to family members and friends about how the CCP still persecutes Falun Gong. He says, "The CCP officials often go abroad, don't they? They are not blind, but how can they still do this [persecution]? They are so outrageous." He also quit the CCP straight away after he read the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party.
