Falun Dafa Practitioners Missing after Meeting EU Vice President
In February 2006, Beijing Chaoyang District Dafa disciple Zhang Lianying was beaten by eight "personal cangues"[Note: cangue, the name of an instrument of torture, is now used to indicate the person who was designated to supervise the behavior of practitioners.] who belong to the 10th team, dispatch section of the Beijing Forced Labor Camp. Because she cried "Falun Dafa is good" and refused to wear a prison uniform, she received a severe beating and was badly wounded.
On February 27, Zhang Lianying was sent to a hospital for 50 days. The wounds on her body had accumulated from several beatings. The beating that happened to her after the 2006 Chinese New Year was quite severe, but the most severe beating took place two days before she was sent to the hospital, which caused her entire face to turn black. The "personal cangues" continued to humiliate her by saying that her face was like a "black African." At that time the soles of her feet had black spots caused by being pricked by a sharp object, she could not move her waist or turn over in bed, and her left leg became very swollen. While she was in the hospital, the team leader of the dispatch section and the "personal cangues" were sent to keep a close watch on her.
The 10th team's leader and assistant team leader Cheng Yuanzheng knew about Zhang Lianying's beating as Zhang Lianying had personally reported it to Cheng. Cheng didn't stop the beatings and instead accused Zhang Lianying of violating prison rules. In fact, the whole beating incident was instigated and shielded by the team leader. Several "personal cangues" told Zhang Lianying that the leader asked them to deal with her again after the festival. The head of the "personal cangues" swore at two "personal cangues" because they were reluctant to beat her. There was also a "personal cangues" who, after beating Zhang Lianying, said she was sorry and told her that she did not want to beat her, but she had to protect herself. In another words, if she didn't follow orders, she would be punished.
The "personal cangues" are forced to beat others by the guards, who are in turn instigated by the Communist Party. Some of them don't want to beat others, some even cry before and after they beat others. Authorities from Tuanhe Procuratorate investigating the incident repeatedly emphasized, "In this kind of incident, whoever does the actual beating is the responsible one." This is typically of how those who pull strings behind the scenes are absolved from responsibility; the crime is covered up and those who violate the law are shielded.
Zhang Lianying had been beaten in October 2005 when she was still in the 9th team (please refer to the previous report on this case on Clearwisdom.net for details). At the time, she wanted to sue the assailants, but the dispatch section, Beijing Labor Education Bureau and the Procuratorate paid no attention to her appeals. Today, the assailants and the instigators still remain unpunished.
On June 14th 2005, while Zhang Lianying was still nursing her baby daughter, she was illegally arrested by ten policemen led by Wang Jing, the head of Xiangheyuan Local Police Station. On June 30, she was illegally sentenced to two years and six months in a labor camp. While carrying their baby in his arms, her husband tried everywhere to seek justice, but instead he was threatened by the Chinese Communist Party's National Security Bureau, Public Security Bureau, the 610 Office and Subdistrict Office.
I would like to give a stern warning to the thugs and accomplices who still participate in the persecution of Falun Dafa disciples in labor camps and prisons: Wake up to the danger to your own lives, forsake evil for good, do not cooperate with or follow orders from the evil policemen, make up for your mistakes by protecting Data disciples and treating them kindly! Then you will have a future. Otherwise, you are merely a weapon in an evil person's hand, and a poor victim. Whoever participated in the persecution of Falun Dafa will not only be punished by the law in this society, but also will be judged by heavenly law. Yao Xiaoqing, Yu Fengde and Liu Xiaoli, who were among the eight "personal cangues" who beat Zhang Lianying, have been sent to a detention center for the crime of assault. Now they are facing legal action.
I would also like to sternly warn those policemen at the dispatch section of Beijing Forced Labor Camp who participated in the beatings: Heaven is watching--no one can escape responsibility for their crimes! Beijing Dafa disciples should join together with the righteous force of the international community to investigate the responsible persons. The day will come when these people are brought to justice.
