1. [Macheng, Hubei Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Yang Qinbo and His Wife Arrested
Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Tao Xiai was illegally arrested on October 13, 2006. Macheng National Security Bureau head Li Jiede in Hubei Province suspected Ms. Tao Xiai's husband, Mr. Yang Qinbo, of having posted truth-clarification materials that expose the persecution in his hometown. He arrested Yang Qinbo on October 23 and sent the couple to Huanggang City Brainwashing Center.

2. [Xingcheng City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Mr. Ma Yingshan Arrested
Dafa practitioner Mr. Ma Yingshan from Zhoujia Village, Sijia Township, Xingcheng City, Liaoning Province, was arrested from home at around 5:30 p.m. on October 25, 2006. Leading the arrest was Xing Baohai. Other officers from the Sijia Township Police Station also participated. Ma Yingshan is currently being held at the Shoushan Detention Center.

3. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Police Harass Practitioner Ms. Pang Shasha
Two officers from the Xiaozhuangzi Township Police Station in Suizhong County, Huludao City, Liaoning Province, harassed practitioner Ms. Pang Shasha at home on October 25, 2006. They tried to take her away but her family resisted, and the police did not succeed.
4. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Practitioners Mr. Qing and Wife Yang Lihua Arrested
Practitioners Mr. Qing and his wife, Ms. Yang Lihua, were arrested in the middle of the night on October 24 or October 25, 2006, in their Wuhan home. Their computer(s) and other equipment were confiscated, including small tools like knives, pliers, and scissors.
5. [Fuxin County, Liaoning Province] Many Practitioners Including Mr. Wang Heping Arrested
Another round of persecution against practitioners started on October 25, 2006. It has been confirmed that at least two practitioners were arrested on October 25: one of them is Mr. Wang Heping from Xinmin Township, Fuxin County, who was taken to the Fuxin County National Security Division. Participating in the arrests were officers from Xinmin Police Station, from the Fuxin County National Security Division, and from the Dongliang Police Station. The other is Ms. Wen Zhiqin from Fuxin City, who was taken to the Bayi Road Police Station in the Xihe District. She is currently being held at the Xindi Detention Center.

Practitioner Mr. Qu Dianwen, in his 50s, is from the No. 2 District, Shengousi, Anshan City, Liaoning Province. He has been persecuted for persisting in Dafa practice. On October 25, 2006, Mr. Qu was arrested and sent to the Anshan Forced Labor Camp by officials from his work place--the Anshan Steel Corporation Coal Mine Company.

7. [Dingzhou, Hebei Province] Practitioners Mr. Huang Yong and Mr. Deng Ji Were Arrested on October 25, 2006, and Are Now Being Held at a Detention Center
8. [Yibin, Sichuan Province] Persecution of Practitioners in Jiangan County
Numerous practitioners have been persecuted in Jiangan County, Yibin City, Sichuan Province, since July 20, 1999. Some practitioners were sent to forced labor camps and some were "illegally detained." Some practitioners have been persecuted more than a dozen times.
Ms. Wang Dengfang, 65 years old, was detained and passed away one week after her release.
Ms. Zhong Lin, 42 years old, was detained and jumped off a building to escape. She sustained a severe pelvic injury and is now under long-term surveillance.
Ms. Deng Xianghui, 47 years old, is being held at the county detention center.
Mr. Chen Yongfu, in his 50s, is being held at the county detention center.
Ms. Wang Youqun, Chen Yongfu's wife, in her 50s, was cured of liver cancer through Dafa practice. The police frequently harassed and watched her and ransacked her home. She passed away on October 13, 2005.

9. [Yushu, Jilin Province] Practitioners Mr. Fang Wensheng and Others Taken to the Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp
Practitioners Mr. Fang Wensheng, Mr. Mu Chunyu, and Mr. Di Hongyuan were taken to a custody center in early October 2006. Effecting the arrest was Chang Yuchun, head of Xinzhuang Police Station. The officials at the National Security Division in the Xinzhuang Police Department recently sent them to the Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp in Changchun City, to be held for one year.

10. [Tieling City, Liaoning Province] Practitioners Ms. Wen Guifen and Others Arrested
Practitioner Ms. Wen Guifen from Quantou Town, Changtu Town, Tieling City, Liaoning Province was arrested on October 25, 2006.
Four practitioners, including Ms. Hao Yaru from Changtu Town, Tieling City, were arrested at Hao Yaru's clinic at 10:00 a.m. on October 28 by officers from the National Security Division of the Changtu Town Police Department and Henan Police Station in Changtu Town. The clinic was ransacked.

12. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Ms. Chang Xuexia Arrested
Practitioner Ms. Chang Xuexia from Liaoning Province was arrested from work on October 26, 2006. Her husband tried to stop the police. The police pinned him to the ground, stepped on his head, and violently struck his back. Chang Xuexia's father was also present. Chang Xuexia is currently being held at the Dalian Environmental Protection Hotel.
13. [Yongji County, Jilin Province] Practitioner Ms. Lian Jinhua Arrested
Lu Wanfeng and others from the Chaluhe Town Police Department in Yongji County, Jilin Province went to the home of practitioner Ms. Lian Jinhua at 5:40 p.m. on October 30, 2006. They arrested her just as she returned from her private business. Her mother-in-law, who is in her 70s, and her 12th grade son are now home alone. Ms. Lian's husband is purchasing merchandise in another city.

Practitioners Ms. Yu Xiuhua, her four-year-old child, and a visiting relative were arrested at her home. The arresting officers were from the Xiyang Town Police Station. The arrest took place at 4:00 p.m. on October 30, 2006.

15. [Haifeng County, Guangdong Province] Practitioner Mr. Wang Guixue Persecuted
Practitioner Mr. Wang Guixue from Gongping Town, Haifeng County, Guangdong Province, was arrested by Haifeng County 610 Office agents on July 22, 2006. He is being brutally tortured at the Sanshui Forced Labor Camp. His wife went to visit him and saw that he is emaciated. He told his wife that the guards would not let him sleep.

17. [Tumen City, Jilin Province] Additional Information Regarding the Arrest of Three Practitioners
Officer Zhou Hong led others from the Tumen City Police Department's National Security Division. Zhu Mingzeng, head of the Shixan Town Police Station; deputy head Li Yanjun; and two police officers ransacked the homes of eight practitioners and arrested three of them--Ms. Wang Yuxia, who was arrested from work; Ms. Bing Shuhua; and Ms. Zhang Yinglan. They are now being held at the Houanshan Detention Center in Tumen City.

The police took practitioner Ms. Sun Yanfang from a detention center to the Acheng City Court at 9:00 a.m. on October 31, 2006, for trial. Ms. Sun defended herself. She told the judge and public prosecutor that it's not a crime to practice Falun Dafa, and good people who follow "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance" should not be arrested or sentenced to prison. The trial ended hastily.

21. [Huangmei, Hubei Province] Practitioner Ms. Li Xiaoqiao Arrested
Jiujiang City police arrested practitioner Ms. Li Xiaoqiao. She was from Xiaochi Town, Huangmei, Hubei Province. The arrest happened at the Jiujiang City Market on the evening of October 29, 2006. Ms. Li's current whereabouts are unknown.
22. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Practitioner Ms. Liu Ying Left Home to Avoid Persecution
Fu Qiang, head of the Shuangqiaozi Street Comprehensive Administration Office led a group of police officers and officials from the street Party Committee. They barged into practitioner Ms. Liu Ying's store at 10:00 a.m. on October 31, 2006, in an attempt to arrest her. Ms. Liu was not present. She left home later to avoid further persecution, leaving her two-year-old daughter and her husband behind.

23. [Xishui, Hubei Province] Persecution of Practitioner Mr. Wang Youchu
Practitioner Mr. Wang Youchu, 61 years old, has been persecuted many times for persisting in Dafa practice. The police broke into his home numerous times after July 20, 1999, and took Dafa books, a recorder, and clothes. Police officer Guo Zongguo and others took Mr. Wang to the Xishui Police Department in December 1999. Police officer Gan Shitao brutally beat him for 12 hours and extorted 1,360 yuan from him. They detained him for 23 days.
Mr. Wang was reported again in August 2000 and was taken away by police in the evening. He was held for seven days and detained for another eight days because he couldn't afford the 30-yuan-a-day "living fee." He was later extorted out of 150 yuan.
Officers from the Wanggang Police Station arrested Mr. Wang again on December 8, 2001, and held him in a forced labor camp for 18 months. He was held in Shizishan, Wuhan City, and sent to a brainwashing center after his sentence expired on June 7, 2002.
The same police officers arrested Mr. Wang again in November 2002, held him for 25 days, and extorted 500 yuan from him.
Police officer Tao Shu took Wang Youchu away on December 24, 20004. He was held in a labor camp for 18 months. The guards savagely beat him for six hours once.
24. [Huaibei, Anhui Province] Practitioner Mr. Zhou Hui Arrested Again
Practitioner Mr. Zhou Hui, an employee of the Kouzi Wine Factory in Huaibei City, Anhui Province, was arrested in early 2001. Participating officers were from Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province. Mr. Zhou was held in Huaibei for one year. Then the Huaibei Court sentenced him to three years in prison, with five years' probation. [That means he would not serve the three-year term in prison, but would be on probation for five years, subject to certain restrictions.]
Mr. Zhou contacted another practitioner on his mobile phone on his way to Xuzhou City on March 2, 2006. Both practitioners' phones were monitored, and the Xuzhou police again arrested him and took him back to Huaibei. They tried him secretly twice, once on September 29, 2006, and again on October 12, 2006, but failed to convict him on both occasions. Yet they proceeded to issue him a seven-year prison sentence.

25. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Police Monitor Practitioner Ms. Wang Xiulan
Practitioner Ms. Wang Xiulan was arrested two days ago and taken to the Beishi District Police Department in Baoding City. Her home was ransacked later that night. After her release, the police ordered her children to monitor her at home and report her daily movements to the police department.
26. [Maoming City, Guangdong Province] Practitioner Mr. Tan Bochun and Others Arrested
Practitioners Mr. Tan Bochun and Mr. Wu Jinshui from Guandu in the Maoming District of Maoming City suddenly disappeared on October 24, 2006. It was later learned that they were arrested in Xinpo and are now being held at the Maoming No. 1 Detention Center. Practitioner Mr. Deng Shaosong was arrested that same day. It is learned that he suffered fractures from a beating and is also being held at the Maoming No. 1 Detention Center.
27. [Heilongjiang Province] Door Guard at the Jiamusi Forced Labor Camp Steals Practitioner Ms. Jia Qiumei's Valuable Food
Practitioner Ms. Jia Qiumei, the younger sister of practitioner Mr. Jia Yongfa from Heilongjiang Province who was tortured to death at Jiamusi Labor Camp, is now held at the same labor camp where her brother had been. Her family visited her there the morning of October 31, 2006, and brought her food and fruit worth more than 100 yuan, but the door guard took all of it and never gave them to Jia Qiumei.
