(Clearwisdom.net) On January 28, before the Chinese Lunar New Year, a grand parade of 80 Asian groups with over 4000 people was held in Flushing, New York. The parade started on Union Street and ended at the Flushing Shopping Center. It lasted about one hour. Along the path, thousands of spectators viewed the parade.
Newsday stated in a photo report on January 29: "On Saturday, January 28, 2006, Falun Gong practitioners dance on Union Street in the Lunar New Year Parade, an annual highlight of the Chinese New Year celebrations in Flushing, Queens. About 4,000 people march in the parade each year."
