Passersby sometimes curiously stop to have a look at them, and they seem to become very peaceful too. Nearby, some other practitioners are passing out truth-clarification flyers and "Nine Commentaries on Communist Party". One practitioner said that they were waiting for tourists from Mainland China.

After China and Taiwan agreed to allow people to travel across the strait, a lot of tourists from Mainland China have been coming to Chiayi City, because this is the only way to tour Ali Mountain. Some practitioners in Chiayi City take advantage of this and pass out flyers to tourists on Ali Mountain. Some can't go to the mountain, so they wait for the tourists in Chiayi City. Some tourists will stay in Chiayi for one night and tour Ali Mountain the following morning to watch the sun rise.
"Usually they will stay in the hotels nearby so they can come to the night fair on Wenhua Road," one practitioner who was distributing flyers said. "They come in groups of three to five. I give them the flyers. Some take them, but some dare not to accept them. Some even swear at us. In one night, if five or six Chinese tourists take flyers, we are satisfied. But the number doesn't matter. At least they walked by and saw our exercises. They can feel the beauty of Falun Dafa."
She continued to talk about how Falun Dafa has spread around the world, and there are millions of people in 78 countries practicing it. Since 1999, the Chinese Communist Party has persecuted Falun Gong and spread a lot of lies about Falun Gong to the world. Recently, the party has used coercion, threats, illegal imprisonment, and physical assault to suppress mainland human rights activists. She said many Mainland Chinese have lived in the "Communist Party Culture" for so long that they don't know what freedom is. When they visit Taiwan, we hope that they can feel the beauty of Falun Dafa and also learn about the evil nature of the Communist Party. Only after they break through the CCP's ideological suppression, will their life have hope.
