(Clearwisdom.net) On the afternoon of March 18, 2006, Falun Gong practitioners from Michigan and Windsor, Canada held a press conference at Shain Park in front of the Birmingham City Government building. They exposed the CCP's atrocities at the Sujiatun Concentration Camp in Shenyang City, where Falun Gong practitioners' bodily organs are harvested for profit and their corpses cremated to dispose of the evidence. At the same time, they called upon the people and the American Government to assist in rescuing about 2,000 Falun Gong practitioners who are still alive in the Sujiatun Concentration Camp, and conduct an investigation over the death camp in China.

Though informed on short notice, City Council member Mr. Wanotz still came in person to express his wholehearted support for Falun Gong practitioners' request that the federal government and the United Nations investigate the atrocities happening in China. He suggested Falun Gong practitioners should make greater effort to urge US Senators and Congressmen in Michigan to ask President Bush to investigate the ongoing tragedy happening in China. He also expressed shock that in these times, such things could still happen. He hoped we could learn from the mass killings of the holocaust.

The practitioners related how a former employee of the Liaoning Provincial Thrombosis Hospital of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine in Sujiatun, Shenyang City stepped forward to testify that it had indeed once locked up more than 6,000 Falun Gong practitioners. She expressed that three quarters of detainees have had their bodily organs harvested when they were still alive and died afterwards. She estimated that there are only about 2,000 Falun Gong practitioners right who are still alive right now and hidden in a secret underground section of the hospital. She hoped the facts would be disclosed as soon as possible in the international community so that those who are still alive can be rescued.

Falun Gong practitioner Xiao Tianlu said, "When I heard of the news, I was very sad, so I decided to ask for two days' leave to travel to Washington DC to meet my congressmen and tell them about the news. I hope they can rescue these people. It has been reported that 4,000 out of 6,000 people have already died, and only 2,000 are still alive. We should show our urgent concern and rescue these 2,000 people. "
