(Clearwisdom.net) Ever since I started my cultivation practice, I thought that the things I did were all validating the Fa. I had no special feeling about the words "validating oneself," and I hadn't understood what kinds of things in reality were "validating oneself."
One day, I had some misunderstanding towards a fellow practitioner with whom I had once promised to participate in a Dafa activity. Because of this unresolved issue in my heart towards this fellow practitioner, I suddenly had a thought: "I will not participate in this activity. Find another practitioner to replace me!" When I looked inward to examine this thought, I discovered that I was "validating myself."
When a fellow practitioner touched upon my sensitive nerves for one reason or another, I did not think of being responsible for the whole body and being responsible for the Fa. I only wanted to avoid the responsibility and protect myself. In this particular instance, I was actually "validating myself." Frankly, it was my "selfishness" that caused the trouble.
Fortunately, I promptly eliminated this unrighteous thought, and the misunderstanding towards my fellow practitioner disappeared. As a result, my validating the Fa has not been hindered. Such a tiny thought, yet in passing this test in my cultivation, it enabled me to truly understand what was "validating myself" and what was "validating the Fa."
The above is a little understanding from my experience. I wrote it down to share with fellow practitioners.
