(Clearwisdom.net) On April 11-15, 2006, several Falun Gong practitioners in London held activities in front of the Prime Mister's office on Downing Street. They distributed truth clarification leaflets to passersby, collected signatures, and disclosed the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP's) almost seven-year-long genocidal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. The practitioners especially exposed the CCP's atrocities of removing organs from living Falun Gong practitioners for profit in forced labor camps and concentration camps and then cremating their bodies to eliminate the evidences. They called on the UK Government and the international community to pay attention to this situation and to launch an investigation into the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, in order to stop its current attempt to destroy witnesses. Finally, they called for the rescue of Falun Gong practitioners who are still surviving in forced labor camps in China.
Appeal in front of the Prime Minister's office |
A practitioner said, "As the weather on the first day of our activities was not good, we felt very oppressed. However, as the activities proceeded, with more and more people working on Downing Street and passersby coming to know about the CCP's atrocity and the persecution happening right now in China, the weather got getting better and better. Among those people who were in a hurry, many did not accept leaflets when passing by the first, then the second practitioners, but they slowed their steps and accepted leaflets distributed by the third practitioner. Lots of people, who accepted truth clarification leaflets on the first day, took the initiative to sign the petition when they passed by again the next day. Many police officers who were on duty on Downing Street also read the truth clarification leaflets. Some of them were carefully reading them for a long time, and some came over and said 'hello' to the practitioners when they were on duty the next day."
After hearing about the wicked actions of the CCP in the illegal harvest of organs and cremating practitioners' bodies, a middle-aged English man said that he knows the condition of human rights in China and about the persecution that has been taking place in China. He said, "If any persecution happens in other countries, some witnesses are bound to stand out. But in China, never before have witnesses stood up, because they have been killed." He expressed his agreement with practitioners: "If the whole world knows the real situation of human rights in China, in no way can the CCP's persecution continue."
A middle-aged woman, a teacher, asked for over ten leaflets. She said that she was going to arrange a class for her students (18 and 19 years old) to discuss human rights, and the persecution of Falun Gong happening in China was a good example of human rights abuse.
Another Western woman told practitioners that she herself was going to write letters to her MPs, calling on them to pay attention to the CCP's atrocities. She asked practitioners, "Are you going to continue opposing the CCP until the persecution ends?" On hearing the affirmative reply from the practitioners, she was pleased and wished them good luck.
After hearing the facts of the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong, a white-collar worker in his fifties said, "What you are doing here is to let people know what is happening in China." Then he asked, "Do you feel that you are safe here in the UK?" The practitioner answered, "I am safe here. However, although I am in the UK, I have received several phones calls from mainland China annoying and threatening us. They made calls to my home during New Year and Chinese New Year." The man was shocked at the fact that the CCP even disturbs overseas Falun Gong practitioners.
While talking about the CCP harvesting organs for profit from living Falun Gong practitioners in forced labor camps, including Sujiatun Concentration Camp, and Falun Gong practitioners throughout the world calling on the international community to make an investigation in order to stop these atrocities, the man said, "It would put the investigation forward if you have documented evidence." The practitioner explained, "The persecution happening right now in China is not just one person committing crimes, but the whole CCP regime is committing crimes systematically. They are hiding evidence and destroying evidence as well. The situation is special. If the CCP really wants to show that it is blameless, it should allow an outside organization to investigate all forced labor camps - not one or two faked scenes just for 'show,' where the real evidence has already been destroyed."
