(Clearwisdom.net) Minghui correspondent Wang Ying interviews and reports:
In response to the U.S. State Department's statement on Friday, that a team of U.S. officials has found no evidence in northern China to support claims by the Falun Gong group that thousands of practitioners have been killed and their organs harvested in concentration camps, Sherry Zhang, spokeswoman for the "Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong in China (CIPFG)" (abbreviated "Coalition to Investigate the Persecution "), accepted an interview with a Minghui/Clearwisdom correspondent today. She accused the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) of transferring evidence and covering up the truth about the Sujiatun hospital. Sherry Zhang calls on the international community, on foreign governments and on the media to support and participate in the CIPFG in its investigation of all labor camps and prisons in China, and together help stop this persecution.
Reporter: The report claims U.S. officials didn't find any evidence in north China that Falun Gong practitioners were killed and their organs harvested. What do you think about this?
Zhang: First, why did the CCP invite outside investigations after three weeks of silence, following exposure of the live harvesting of Falun Gong practitioners' organs at Sujiatun Concentration Camp in Shenyang City? The CCP used this period of time to transfer Falun Gong practitioners elsewhere and have destroyed all evidence. They need only a few days to transfer all of those people. That's one of the reasons why they remained silent for a few weeks.
We all know that the Nazis killed millions of Jews inside concentration camps. In June 1944, however, when the concentration camps were first exposed, the Nazis also invited the Red Cross to visit the Theresienstadt Concentration Camp in Germany. The Red Cross found that the concentration camp was very beautiful and full of flowers, and there was a garden and newly painted houses. This is very similar to the tactics the CCP is using in Sujiatun, as the CCP has already covered up the truth about the Sujiatun hospital.
The CCP has always been using such shenanigans. When the SARS epidemic was exposed and the World Health Organization (WHO) officials went to China to investigate the number of SARS patients, the CCP put some SARS patients in cars and drove them around in the streets, so the WHO officials could not see them. This is not the first time the CCP has lied. The CCP has also invited the media to visit the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. Foreign reporters only saw whitewashed walls and inmates wearing new uniforms. These are obvious cover-ups.
It is by now meaningless for U.S. officials to go there [Sujiatun] and investigate [about live organ harvesting]. Currently, we demand all labor camps, prisons and hospitals in China to be investigated, because labor camps and prisons are the real torture chambers where the CCP persecutes Falun Gong practitioners. There are a lot of labor camps and prisons where Falun Gong practitioners have been arbitrarily held against the law, where the practitioners have been savagely tortured, sexually abused, beaten to death and their deaths passed off as "suicide," and where the recently exposed live organ harvests performed on the practitioners take place. More crimes, both obvious and unimaginable, are still happening and are still hidden.
Reporter: Why do you emphasize that the CIPFG go to China to conduct an investigation? What's the significance?
Zhang: The CIPFG was established by the Falun Dafa Association and the Minghui website. Because the Minghui website contains abundant firsthand information, [those who write the] Minghui website are most capable of conducting such an investigation. The international community is not very well informed on the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong. We know where to go and how to investigate this.
We have two requests. The Coalition to Investigate the Persecution asks the CCP to open all labor camps, prisons, hospitals and mental hospitals where Falun Gong practitioners are held, for our investigation.
The other request is that the CCP allow the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution, headed by Falun Gong practitioners, to go to China and investigate the facts about the persecution of Falun Gong.
Reporter: Have you made preparations for going to China to investigate?
Zhang: Beginning from next week, April 17th, we will go to Chinese consulates and apply for visas. Since the CCP said it welcomes the international community to go and investigate, then Falun Gong practitioners are most qualified to conduct this investigation. If the CCP truly wants the international community to investigate this matter, then it must approve the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution to go to China for an investigation.
Our goal is very clear, and the first group of targets for investigation and evidence collection has already been published on April 12.
Reporter: Is it true that organ harvesting of Falun Gong practitioners takes place all over China? Do you have enough evidence?
Zhang: Since the exposure of organ harvesting at the Sujiatun concentration camp, many Falun Gong practitioners called major hospitals in China. The hospital staff said they were performing organ transplants overtime. They also said they have a large amount of organ suppliers before May, and it would be difficult after that. One Falun Gong practitioner called a hospital in Guangzhou City. When he asked about kidney transplant, the doctor answered, "You can get it after about one week." When asked whether the hospital has organs from Falun Gong practitioners, the doctor said, "All of our [organs] here are of that type."
We have audio recordings of these phone calls, and we will make them public.
Reporter: What requests do you have of the international community?
Zhang: The CCP's harvesting of Falun Gong practitioners' organs followed by cremation of their bodies to destroy evidence is consistent with Jiang Zemin's persecution policy, "annihilate them physically." Jiang once claimed that Falun Gong would be wiped out in three months, and the CCP resorted to many extreme means to annihilate Falun Gong. This is one of them.
We call for more government organizations and people from all strata of society to support and participate in the investigation of the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution in Chinese labor camps and prisons. Let's take action together and end this persecution.
