an exhibition examining Chinese culture and human rights is being held at the Aberdeen Arts Centre this week. It features 12 paintings from artists who are Falun Gong practitioners.
The report stated that Eddie Aitken, organizer of the event, said, "We're trying to raise awareness of the situation in China. There, people are not free to practice things such as Falun Gong."
The report also stated that Falun Gong is an ancient Chinese tradition of meditation and self-improvement. Falun Gong cultivators expressed that they have gained good health in both body and mind.
The report ended by stating that an award-winning film, Sandstorm, was shown to an invited audience on the evening of March 29. The film, about the persecution of Falun Gong, has won awards at 29 film festivals.
