1. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Wardens in the Xinkaipu Forced Labor Camp Inject Falun Gong Practitioners with Unknown Substances to Torture Them

According to Falun Gong practitioners who were recently released from Changsha City's Xinkaipu Forced Labor Camp, wardens there injected steadfast practitioners with unknown substances to achieve a high "transformation" quota. If these practitioners thus tortured could keep strong righteous thoughts their minds would be clear for several days. If not, they would become confused. Wardens hung signs with specific sayings around their necks and humiliated them by parading them through the streets.

Due to the maltreatment, some practitioners signed statements giving up Falun Gong practice. One practitioner kept a clear mind for twelve days after the injection, but the abuse made him too miserable to look at.

2. [Gongzhuling City, Jilin Province] Information about the Xinsheng Prison

It was heard that there is a huge, very-well equipped basement at the Xinsheng Prison in Gongzhuling City, and around 3,000 people are held there. It is unclear how many Falun Gong practitioners are incarcerated. It was also heard that the Xinsheng Prison is much bigger than the Jilin Prison. In addition, it will be expanded and it plans to recruit government officers.

Practitioner Mr. Yang Huiyong was transferred to the Xinsheng Prison from Changchun City's Tiebei Prison. His back and chest were electrically shocked, and became black and blue. His feet and legs were swollen, and his head was severely injured. Following strong requests, Yang's family eventually met with him, but wardens put a big hat on him to cover his head injuries.

3. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Several Practitioners Illegally Sentenced

On September 23, 2005, practitioner Ms. Zhang Yan from Harbin City was sentenced to six years of imprisonment and is presently being held at the city women's prison. Practitioners Ms. Wang Zhulan, Mr. Lu Yan, Ms. Yang Guiying, Ms. Zheng Wenjuan, and Ms. Wu Qiuyan are being held at the city's No. 2 Detention Center.

Someone reported practitioners Ms. Diao Yuqin and Ms. Zhao Yuemei when they distributed truth-clarifying materials in the Songbei District. They were subsequently arrested and sentenced to one year of forced labor and are currently being held at the No. 2 Detention Center.

Practitioner Ms. Ba Lijiang is presently being held at the Harbin City Women's Prison. She was tortured for refusing to wear the prison uniform. She has been on a hunger strike since the beginning of March. Four prisoners used to monitor her. Now five prisoners monitor her. She was transferred from the No. 7 Division to the No. 4 Division.

6. [Baicheng City, Jilin Province] Policemen Including Zhao Fuquan Persecute Practitioners

On April 22, 2006, a group of policemen headed by Zhao Fuquan from the National Security Division at the Baicheng City Police Department broke into practitioner Wang Liu's home and arrested him/her. They also ransacked his home and found some Dafa books and truth-clarifying materials. They threatened Wang Liu and forced Wang to tell them several practitioners' names. Police arrested practitioners according to the list of names Wang gave them. Three practitioners have so far been interrogated. One of them escaped with the power of righteous thoughts. An ill one was bailed out. The other practitioner, Ms. Li Chunzhi, was taken away on the morning of April 29, 2006. It is unclear where Li is being held. Several practitioners chose to leave their homes to avoid the persecution. This caused a big loss to validating the Fa and rescuing sentient beings in Baicheng City.

Practitioner Mr. Ba Mingbo, a 33-year-old university graduate, used to live on the 7^th floor of the No. 3 Dormitory Building of a fuel company, located at 53 Chengbi Lane, Kunming City. In early November 2005, personnel from the Daguanlou Police Station, Baima Police Division, Xishan District Police Department, arrested him and put him into the Xishan District Detention Center.

Two days ago, police arrested practitioner Ms. Kang Miqiao, an employee from Dezhou City's Cotton Textile Factory and took her to the Hexi Police Station in the Decheng District. Details need to be investigated.

14. [Shanghai] Practitioner Hu Shunfang Arrested at the Entrance of the Yichulianhua Supermarket While Clarifying the Truth

In late March 2006, Practitioner Hu Shunfang from the Jinshan District was arrested at the entrance of the Yichulianhua Supermarket on Shihua Street, Jinshan District while clarifying the truth to people. Her whereabouts are unknown.

Practitioner Ms. Qiu Jinhua,59, from one of Chengdu City's eastern suburbs was arrested while distributing truth-clarifying materials in December 2005. She was detained for 15 days. In January 2006, personnel from the Jianshe Road Police Station arrested her again. They sent Qiu Jinhua to the Xinjin Brainwashing Class, where she is still being detained.

16. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Lawless Personnel from the Jiaxing Street Administrative Committee in the Sifang District Injure Practitioner Zhang Wenliang

On April 21, 2006, practitioner Zhang Wenliang went to the Jiaxing Street Administrative Committee in the Sifang District and demanded that they immediately stop the evil propaganda against Falun Gong. Over a dozen posters and articles were posted on their doors. Three people from the Street Administrative Committee chased Zhang Wenliang to the Renmin Road Bus Stop and to the Jiading Road Bus Stop. They dragged Zhang Wenliang off the bus. One person held his back, one person grabbed his neck and another person kicked and punched him till he was seriously injured. One of the scofflaw personnel claimed, "We can make you stay in jail for the rest of your life." A large crowd gathered to watch and they condemned the scofflaw personnel's brutal act. Zhang Wenliang kept a calm mind, sent righteous thoughts, and silently recited the Fa-rectification formulas. The scofflaw personnel were frightened. As a result, Zhang Wenliang managed to escape and disappeared into the crowd.

On April 11, 2006, police arrested 51-year-old practitioner Ms. Zhu Shuyuan from Hongguang Village, Shilipu Town, Miyun County, and took her to the County Detention Center for persecution.

On the evening of April 27, 2006, after personnel from the Donggang City Police Department finished their political & judiciary meeting, they arrested practitioners Ms. Zhao Shuqin and Ms. Ge Hongying from Hejiagang Village, Helong Town. On the night of April 28 they arrested Ms. E Tingchun and Ms. Shi Hongmei from Mamulinzi Village. Detailed information is unavailable.

19. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Personnel from the Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp Hold Practitioners Li Yongjun and Zhang Xiuling After Their Terms Expire

Practitioners Ms. Zhang Xiuling and Mr. Li Yongjun were arrested for clarifying the truth to people and then sent to the No. 4 Team at the Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp. As they refused to give up cultivation, they were tortured and shocked with electric batons numerous times. Policeman Liu Zhiwei tortured Zhang Xiuling so badly that she can no longer walk normally. The two practitioners' terms expired on April 17, but when their family members went to pick them up, personnel from the forced labor camp refused to release them.

20. [Pi County, Sichuan Province] Personnel from the 610 Office and from a Police Station Are Persecuting Practitioners

During the night of April 26, 2006, personnel from the Xinmin Town government, from the 610 Office and a police station broke into and ransacked practitioner Mr. Liu Shouhui's home. Liu Shouhui was absent since he had already opted to live away from home to avoid further persecution.

During the evening of August 11, 2003, police arrested Liu Shouhui and almost tortured Liu to death. He finally walked away with dignity.

Policemen in Pi County also persecuted many other practitioners.

21. [Ningjin County, Hebei Province] Practitioner Liang Yulei and Li Hua Put into a Brainwashing Class

Police officer Shen Jianzhong from Ningjin County, Hebei Province arrested practitioners Liang Yulei and Li Hua on April 24, 2006. The practitioners have been sent to the Xingtai City Brainwashing Class for persecution.

After arresting the practitioners, policemen Shen Jianzhong and Guo Jianzhong hired some gangs to monitor the practitioners' homes. They followed and threatened practitioners' family members.

22. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Mao Cuilan Unlawfully Held at the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp

Practitioner Ms. Mao Cuilan lives in the dormitory building of the Fengcheng Public Transportation Company in the Dadong District, Shenyang City. During the afternoon on February 20, 2006 she and another practitioner clarified the truth of Falun Gong but were reported. Personnel from the Xindong Police Station arrested and sent them to the Shenyang City Detention Center. The practitioners were sentenced to forced labor in March 2006. They are being held at the No.3 Brigade of the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp.

23. [Sichuan Province] Personnel in the Sichuan Province Education Department Persecute Practitioners

Recently, many school students denounced the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliates and some parents became concerned. Many schools set up a 610 Office headed by the school principal to monitor practitioners. A high-ranking official from the Sichuan Province Education Department informed officials from cities, counties, and districts in a conference that there were teachers spreading Falun Gong, and that any teacher who practices Falun Gong should be fired, and the school principal should also be dismissed from his post. Several teacher-practitioners have been arrested in Sichuan Province.

27. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Zhang Chao Arrested

Practitioner Zhang Chao, in his 30s, lives in the Lijia Community, Kuiwen District, Weifang City, Shandong Province. During the afternoon of April 27, 2006, he was arrested by plainclothes police. He is being held at the Kuiwen District Weizhou Road Police Station. Some plainclothes police officers still monitor his home to arrest other practitioners.

On April 20 or 21, 2006 police arrested practitioner Ms. Yuan Aiwu. She is presently being held and persecuted at the Songshan District Detention Center in Chifeng City. Practitioner Mr. Chen Jianxue, Yuan's husband, was arrested from his work place, the Fengshuigou Ping Coal Company Mine, Chifeng City, on the afternoon of April 21, 2006. At present he is being persecuted at the Yuanbaoshan District Detention Center.

On April 22, 2006, practitioner Mr. Wang Hai was arrested and put into the Songshan District Detention Center in Chifeng City. It was heard that police confiscated copy paper from a truth-clarifying materials production site in the Qiaoxi Area, Songshan District.

Practitioner Yuan Aiwu is an employee of the West Coal Transportation Center in the Yuanbaoshan District. Police often harassed her. They have arrested her several times and extorted a total of 11,100 yuan from her. They arrested her on March 4, 2003. She went on a hunger strike for 14 days. Police were afraid of her poor health. They attempted to extort from her family 5,000 yuan [for her release]. Later, her family paid 1,000 yuan and the police released her, but still remarked that they would arrest her again and sentence her. Thus, she decided to lead a homeless life to avoid further persecution.

Personnel from the 610 Office and from practitioner Chen Jianxue's workplace often persecute him for practicing Falun Gong. This time, personnel from the 610 Offices from the Yuanbaoshan District and Chifeng City and officers from his work unit arrested him at work and also ransacked his home. Now his older parents are left at home without care. His father has a stroke cannot go outside the home.

Belated News: Since July 20, 1999, police have arrested practitioner Wang Hai and ransacked his home several times. During the March 2000 "Two Conferences" he was arrested and held nearly a month. Policeman Lu Yongchun, the No. 1 Police Station chief, tried to extort money from Wang's family. As the family did not have cash, Wang Hai was not released until the family eventually gave the police a 8,000 yuan promissory note from someone who owed money to Wang Hai. On May 7, 2000, though Wang Hai was just released a month prior, police broke into his home and took him to the police station, accusing him of meeting with other practitioners at a park. Policeman Liang Zhanting from the Songshan District National Security Division ordered Wang's family to pay 10,000 yuan as bail. Wang's family didn't do that, and then the police authorities intended to sentence him. Wang firmly resisted. After being illegally held over seven months, Wang was sentenced to three years of forced labor to be served at the Tumuji Forced Labor Camp in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Wang Hai has appealed many times for an unconditional release, but the forced labor camp authorities kept the appeals letters and other documents. He could do nothing but go on a hunger strike to protest the persecution for 83 days. But he still didn't get fair treatment.

Practitioner Qiu Jinhua, 59, lives in Chengu City's Eastern Suburb. In December 2005 Qiu was arrested while distributing truth-clarifying materials. Qiu was held for fifteen days. In January 2006 she was arrested again. Personnel from the Jianshe Road Police Station sent Qiu to the Xinjin Brainwashing Class. Qiu has not yet been released.

Practitioner Mr. Deng Jinrui is a department manager of the Yunfu Branch, Guangdong Province Mobil Company. On March 30, 2006, personnel from Yufu City Police Department and the 610 Office arrested and took him to the Sanshui City Brainwashing Class.

General manager Zhou Weiqiang, associate general manager Wu Qilin and Party labor union manager Chen Guoguang unreasonably punished Deng Jinrui by demoting him to a lower rank and reducing his salary twice.

Police arrested practitioner Ms. Luo Qifen, who is in her 60s, from the Jiangbei District, on the morning of March 9, 2006, as she clarified the truth out-of-doors.

34. [Gongzhuling City, Jilin Province] Ren Xingwen Illegally Arrested

On April 21, 2006, Kong Lingze and Wang Yufan from the National Security Division in Gongzhuling City colluded with Wang Hongbo from Fanjiatun Town Police Department and plotted to arrest practitioner Ren Xingwen. Wang Yufan pretended to be a tourist to entreat Ren Xingwen to talk about the truth of Falun Dafa, then brought him into a black car and arrested him.

During the afternoon of April 24, 2006, Ren Xingwen's family went to the National Security Division deputy chief's office in the Gongzhuling City Police Department. A policeman surnamed Wang was very vicious. He asked, "What does your son do?" The family answered, "My son studies in Beijing." Unexpectedly, the policemen shouted, "If you dare come here again, I will drive to Beijing or call Beijing and make certain your son can never study again." He openly extorted them by demanding, "We will do this unless you give us money! Two hundred yuan per day! Total 2,400 yuan should be okay for 15 days."

Practitioner Ms. Xue Zhaohui from Quanzhou City has been illegally detained at the Fujian Province Women's Prison for three years. Because she was steadfast in Dafa and refused to give up Falun Gong practice she has always been separately detained.

36. [Leqing City, Zhejiang Province] Practitioner Xu Xiufen Illegally Sentenced to Two Years of Imprisonment

Practitioner Ms. Xu Xiufen from Leqing City was illegally arrested in April 2006 when she was distributing truth-clarifying materials at the Shaoxingke Bridge. She has been sentenced to two years of imprisonment. The other practitioner arrested with her is from another place. The details are unknown.

37. [Xuanzhou City, Anhui Province] Some Persecution Cases in the Nanhu Forced Labor Camp from 2000 to 2001 - Belated News

Practitioner Mr. Fang Lihua, an Anhui University student has been to Beijing many times to appeal for Falun Gong. He was sentenced to forced labor. Because he refused to give up his belief he was punished by being forced to stand for a long time and put into the Strict Administration Class. He later suffered a mental collapse.

Practitioner Mr. Sun Fangxi from Hefei City was sent to another team from the No. 6 Division for refusing to give up his belief. He was forced to work overtime (more than 12 hours a day) and do two to three person's work. If he refused to do so he would be brutally beaten. Sun Fangxi went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution, but was force fed many times. We know nothing about his latest circumstances.

Practitioner Mr. Wei Shezhang was an employee of the Tangshan County Irrigation Works Bureau. He was detained at the Nanhu Forced Labor Camp and forced to do overloaded work, thus he has fainted many times.

Practitioner Mr. Wang Ruyi, an employee of the Ongling City Brew House in Anhui Province. He was sent to another team from the No. 6 Team for refusing to give up his belief. During two months of persecution his weight dropped from 60 kg (132 lbs) to 40 kg (86 lbs).

In 2001, most of the male practitioners sentenced to forced labor in Anhui Province were held at the Nanhu Forced Labor Camp. They were divided into various teams, but most were held in the No. 6 Division.
