1. [Guizhou Province, Dujun City] Ms. Zhou Yun, Among Other Practitioners, Taken to Brainwashing Center
On June 20, 2006, around 1 p.m., over ten people from the Wenfeng Police Station of Dujun City in Guizhou Province, the CCP Residential Committee, the No. 1 Section of the City Police Department, as well as other institutions, arrested practitioner Ms. Zhou Yun and took her to the Lannigou Brainwashing Center of Guiyang City. Later, practitioners Ms. Wei Tianlan and Ms. Liang Zhengfeng were also taken to the same brainwashing center. This is possibly a joint effort on the part of the entire province.
2. [Hunan Province, Changsha City] Police Attempting to Illegally Sentence Practitioner Ms. Zhou Runlin to Prison
On the morning of June 15, 2006, police from the Xinhe Police Station of the Kaifu District arrested practitioner Ms. Zhou Runlin from the Kaifu District of Changsha City while she was working at the Artificial Wooden Plank Factory of Hunan Province.
That same day, five to six police officers from the Xinhe Police Station ransacked Ms. Zhou’s home located in the Mingzhuyuan area of Wujialing District. They confiscated Ms. Zhou and her husband’s computer, laptop, and printer. They also confiscated about 100 copies of truth-clarification materials. Police took Ms. Zhou’s husband, who is not a Falun Dafa practitioner, to the police station and interrogated him for about two hours. Ms. Zhou has been illegally held in the Changsha City Detention Center for more than one week. Police are trying to make up charges to illegally sentence Ms. Zhou Yunlin to prison.
3. [Hunan Province, Longhui County] Practitioner Mr. Huang Qihua Sentenced to Forced Labor
On May 18, the Clearwisdom.net website reported the persecution of many practitioners from Longhui County in Hunan Province. Since then, four practitioners have been released. The county 610 Office however, "illegally sentenced" practitioner Mr. Huang Qihua to one and a half years of forced labor. The sentence was made up on fabricated information stating that four people accused Mr. Huang Qihua of having given them truth-clarification materials. Among the four people they referred to, one person’s name does not match with the facts, while two others later refused to admit that they accused Mr. Huang. The fourth person is an elderly practitioner who was deceived by police after he was arrested. Mr. Huang Qihua had already undergone two years of forced labor (prior to this arrest) where he was tortured until his entire body was swollen and stiff.

On June 16, 2006, the Suihua City Forced Labor Camp indicated that the Daqing City Oil Field Management Bureau had agreed to release practitioner Mr. Li Yequan and that the documents were received but not yet reviewed by the provincial officials. However, the Heilongjiang Province Forced Labor Camp Bureau claimed that the Suihua City Forced Labor Camp did not send the documents. When Mr. Li Yequan’s wife went to the Suihua City Forced Labor Camp to inquire about this, the Suihua City Forced Labor Camp claimed that they were still working on it.

On the evening of June 9, 2006, practitioner, Mr. Liu Zhijie, rode a three-wheeled cart and took practitioners Mr. Wang Hai, Mr. Chen Fenglei, Mr. Ma Kaihua, and Ms. Liu Linfang to the villages near the Mozhou Town to distribute truth-clarification materials. They were arrested by police from the Mozhou Town Police Station and told to write the so-called guarantee statement that indicates giving up the practice of Falun Dafa. The practitioners refused to cooperate. They were transferred to the Renqiu City Detention Center on June 10, 2006.

9. [Shanghai City] Practitioner Mr. Liu Wenwei Held
Mr. Liu Wenwei, 37, is a practitioner from Shanghai City and lived in Room 201, No. 65 on Huanghe Road in the Huangpu District. He went to appeal in Beijing twice in order to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa. He was held for months. After he returned to Shanghai City, he was monitored and later was sentenced to three years of forced labor.
During this year’s Six-Nation Summit, on the morning of June 12, Mr. Liu found propaganda statements that defamed Falun Dafa and started to dispose of them. Meeting staff members reported him to the police by dialing the number 110. Many police officers quickly arrived and took Mr. Liu to the police station without any legal procedures. Deputy Director of the Police Station Zhao Hui (male) and other police officers beat Mr. Liu. Members of the 610 Office also participated in the brutal beating. Zhao Hui (male) turned around to fabricate an injury statement and accused Mr. Liu of assault. Subsequently, Zhao reported to the Head of the Huangpu District 610 Office, Lu Weimin (male). Mr. Liu is currently being held illegally and the rest of the information is unclear.
10. [Shandong Province, Pingdu City] Practitioner Ms. Li Meijun Held and Tortured in the 610 Office Brainwashing Center
On June 2, 2006, practitioner, Ms. Li Meijun from Shanwang Village, Yunshan Town of Pingdu City was taken away from her home by Town Government Staffer Zhang Hongmin (male), who colluded with seven to eight police officers. Ms. Li was taken to the Pingdu City 610 Office Brainwashing Center where she is being subjected to forced-brainwashing.
Dai Yugang (male), Xiao Zhou (male), and Director Wang (male) from the 610 Office forced practitioners to sit on small stools from 7 a.m. To 9:30 p.m. and also to lie down without getting up. They extorted fifty-five hundred yuan from each practitioner before he or she was released.
11. [Shandong Province, Pingdu City] Supplementary Information on the Arrest of Practitioner Ms. Qi Xiuhua from Yunshan Town
Police from the Yunshan Town Police Station took practitioner Ms. Qi Xiuhua from Nanwang Village, Yunshan Town of Pingdu City in Shandong Province to the Pingdu City 610 Office Brainwashing Center on May 19, 2006. Ms. Qi’s face became swollen and misshapen and her entire body turned black from being beaten. It took over 20 days for her to recover. The Head of the 610 Office, Dai Yugang (male), attempted to force Ms. Qi to defame Dafa and Master and made the threat that if she refused to do so, then she would be sent to forced labor camp. He also threatened Ms. Qi’s family members and wants to extort eighty-five hundred yuan from them before he releases Ms. Qi.
12. [Anhui Province, Hefei City] The 610 Office Arrested Falun Dafa Practitioners
On the morning of June 13, 2006, the Hefei City 610 Office of Anhui Province mobilized three police cars and took practitioners Ms. Pei Ling, Ms. Liang Guiying, and Ms. Ruan Wencui to the Hefei City Steel Factory Guest House and arranged four people to monitor each practitioner.
Ms. Pei Ling, 38, is from Hefei City and had been laid off from work. On the morning of June 13, 2006, she was taken away from her mother’s home by police officers from the Railroad Police Station of the Yaohai Police Department of Hefei City.
Ms. Liang Guiying, 60, is retired from the Hefei Vehicle Plant. On the morning of June 13, 2006, the Tongling Road CCP Residential Committee called her in. Ms. Liang said that she would appear in the afternoon, but they told her that she had to be there right away. Ms. Liang did not go. Later, the Huachong Police Station colluded with the Tongling Street CCP Residential Committee and mobilized two police cars to arrest both Ms. Liang and Ms. Ruan Wencui.

13. [Liaoning Province, Chaoyang City] The State Security Division of the Chifeng City in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Colluded with the Xiangyang Police Station of Chaoyang City to Arrest Many Falun Dafa Practitioners
On the evening of June 3, 2006, the State Security Division of Chifeng City in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region colluded with the Xiangyang Police Station of Chaoyang City to break into a private residence near the Balibao Little Bridge area. The police officers were calling out, "Catch the thief!" while in fact they were arresting Falun Dafa practitioners. Those arrested that night included: practitioners Ms. Yi Fengqin and her four-year old daughter, Yuan Yuan, (both have been released); Ms. Teng Caiying; Mr. Wang Xiaodong; Mr. Lao Wang; and Ms. Hu Suhua. Ms. Hu Suhua was handcuffed and taken away without her shoes.
On June 4, undercover police took practitioners Mr. Yan Hongyuan, Mr. Bai Guojun, Ms. Bai Fengli, and Ms. Li Xiujun away. Mr. Yan Hongyuan was beaten by several police officers on the spot and was severely hurt. He had to be carried away. The confiscated items included: a laptop computer, two printers, two boxes of Falun Dafa books, one e-book, eight or nine MP3 players, a small television, one VCD, ten to eleven cell phones, and an unknown amount of cash.
The police now refuse to let practitioners’ family members visit. Mr. Yan Hongyan is in the Wujiawa Detention Center, and Mr. Wang Xiaodong has been transferred to Chifeng City. The rest of the arrested practitioners are in the Shijiatao Detention Center.

Mr. Liang Yuncheng was held twice in the Benxi City Forced Labor Camp in Liaoning Province. He was tortured twice on the "Stretching Bed." (1) The first time he was stretched for 14 days and the second time for 29 days. The Political Commissar of the Forced Labor Camp, Chen Zhongwei (male), and the Chief of the Management Division, Meng Lixin (male), directed Instructors Zhang Xiaowei (male), Wang Xiangguang (male), and Xie Dawei (male) to carry out the stretching torture.

18. [Shandong Province, Rongcheng City] Practitioner Mr. Lin Zuoying from Changjiazhuang Village of Wanglian Town Arrested
Mr. Lin Zuoying, 31, is a practitioner from Changjiazhuang Village, Wanglian Town, Rongcheng City in Shandong Province. Around 6 p.m. on June 20, 2006, he went home after harvesting the wheat. Four police officers in a police car (license: Lu k0512), including Zhou Yegang (male) and Wang (surname, police no. 069039) from the Wanglian Town Police Station, followed Mr. Lin. Wang showed his police badge and a search warrant before he led two young police officers into Mr. Lin’s house. They confiscated a truth-clarification booklet, a book of Master’s lectures, and a photo of Master. They used these as evidence to take him to the Rongcheng Detention Center. When they were asked how they could arrest someone without any evidence of a crime, the police answered that they were simply following orders from higher officials.

Practitioner Ms. Yan Xiling was sent to forced labor for practicing Falun Gong. Qingzhou City police have repeatedly taken Ms. Yan to a brainwashing center. In order to avoid being arrested, she was forced to leave home. On the afternoon of June 20, 2006, she went to visit someone with the surname of Gao, who used to be in the same forced labor camp, but Gao reported her to officials and she was thereafter arrested.

Practitioner Ms. Wei Lihong from the Taocheng District was taken to a brainwashing center on June 15, 2006. She was on her way to Beijing to visit her relatives when she was searched by police at the Hengshui Train Station and found to be carrying Master’s Fa lecture CDs. She was then detained.

On the morning of June 20, 2006, practitioner, Ms. Wang Hongxia, who is a teacher at the Anyue County Reeducation School, was arrested at work by the Anyue County 610 Office, which colluded with chool Principle Qing Shundi (male), CCP Secretary Dai Changzhi (male), and School Security Division staff member Yu Tingrong (male). Ms. Wang was directly sent to the Erehu Brainwashing Center of Yingjie Town, Ziyang City. Her workplace sent two people to watch her and paid all their expenses to do so. Ms. Wang Hongxia has been "illegally sentenced" to forced labor twice for a total of five years and has been subjected to all kinds of torture.

23. [Yunnan Province, Kunming City] Practitioners Ms. Xia Xiaoying and Mr. Zhang Liyuan Arrested
On April 27, 2006, practitioners Ms. Xia Xiaoying and Mr. Zhang Liyuan from Kunming City were arrested.
Ms. Xia Xiaoying is a retired teacher from the Kunming City No. 3 Middle School. Her home was ransacked on the same day as her arrest. Police confiscated a large number of Falun Dafa books, truth-clarification materials, computers, printers, and other items. On May 10, she was officially arrested and is awaiting an official sentence in two months. At present, she is being held in the Panlong No. 1 Detention Center.
Mr. Zhang Liyun is a retired worker from the Kunming City Wuhua District Swimming Facility. His home was ransacked on the same day as his arrest. After being held for less than a month in the Panlong No. 1 Detention Center, he was sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor. He has been sent to the Dabanqiao Forced Labor Camp where he is being tortured.

Ms. Sun Yumei is a practitioner from Daqing City and used to work as an oil field employee in the Daqing No. 2 Oil Plant. She started to practice Truth, Compassion, Tolerance in 1999. She was arrested twice on November 13, 2005. She is currently being held in Harbin Women’s Prison.
