(Clearwisdom.net)On Monday July 18, 2006, a seminar was held in the Houses of Parliament in London to talk about the harvesting of organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. The seminar was chaired by Lord Thurlow and one of the main speakers was David Kilgour, a former Canadian Secretary of State who recently published a report confirming that the Chinese Communist Party has been taking organs from living Falun Gong practitioners since 1999 and selling them for profit.

Mr Kilgour talked about the investigation he recently released along with Canadian human rights lawyer David Matas. The investigation reveals the shocking scale of the CCP's network of labor camps that have been used in the past seven years to harvest organs from living Falun Gong practitioners and sell them for profit.

Mr Kilgour discussed several aspects of the report and cited some of the examples that are in there. One of the witnesses cited in the report is the wife of a surgeon who removed corneas from over 2,000 Falun Gong practitioners in two years. None of the 2,000 practitioners survived.
The organ harvesting report cites many other examples and communicates unquestionable proof that the Chinese Communist Party is stealing practitioners' organs, selling them for profit and cremating the bodies to destroy all evidence. The other main speaker was a UK Falun Gong practitioner called Lona who recently graduated from Cambridge University. Lona talked about the horrors that she suffered in a Chinese forced labor camp. The audience was shocked to hear how her blood type was taken so that it could be matched with prospective transplant seekers. However, she was later able to escape China and go to the UK.
The seminar was attended by Member of Parliament for Bishop Auckland Helen Goodman and Member of Parliament for Cheadle Mark Hunter. Both of the MPs have recently asked questions in the Houses of Parliament about what actions are being taken to stop the organ harvesting atrocities. They expressed their support and admiration for the Canadian organ harvesting report and talked about measures that people in Britain can take to help the suffering practitioners in China.
The seminar was also attended by a journalist from who asked many questions of the speakers.
On the following day, a seminar was held in the Foreign Press Association. David Kilgour and Lona again spoke about the Chinese Communist Party's human rights atrocities. The seminar was attended by journalists from several major news organizations.
