1. [Heilongjiang Province] Daqing City Prison Changing Methods of Persecuting Illegally Held Falun Dafa Practitioners
The Daqing City Prison in Heilongjiang Province has required Falun Dafa practitioners to wear prison uniforms and report to the guards before they are allowed to receive visitors.
On July 26, 2006, when practitioner Mr. Chen Chunlin, who has been persecuted in the No. 5 Division of the prison, was set to see his daughter, prison guards tried him to force him to put on a prison uniform and recite certain words before seeing her. Mr. Chen Chunlin "clarified the truth" to the prison guards and requested to see his daughter. The second day, he managed to speak to his daughter through the inside phone line. On July 27, 2006, prison guards locked Mr. Chen Chunlin into a "small cell" (1) using the excuse that Mr. Chen Chunlin was "coercing" other practitioners to refuse to wear the prison uniform. They also beat Falun Dafa practitioners Mr. Zhang Jian and Mr. Wang Shuyuan. On July 24, 2006, practitioner Ms. Li Min was dragged back to the prison cell and brutally beaten by criminals at the police officers' orders. Ms. Li Min went on a hunger strike to protest.
2. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Ms. Liu Baoyu Illegally Held Past Her Term in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp
Practitioner Ms. Liu Baoyu from Heishan County in Jinzhou City has been illegally held for three years and two months. She has gone beyond her term but still has not been released. When her family members went there to visit, they were turned away.
Ms. Liu Baoyu was arrested by police in May 2003. She was illegally sentenced to three years of forced labor and was taken to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp, where she was tortured. During the time she was held, three prisoners were sent to brainwash her, one after another. They forced her to stand on a brick and forbade her from moving. For three months, she was denied sleep day and night, until she fell unconscious.
3. [Heilongjiang Province] Jiamusi City Forced Labor Camp Torturing Falun Dafa Practitioners in the Men's Group
The men's group in the Xigemu Forced Labor Camp of Jiamusi City is using many different ways to torture Falun Dafa practitioners. Every day they force Falun Dafa practitioners to sit on small stools with plastic spikes. They brutally torture practitioners who steadfastly practice Falun Dafa. In the past several days, practitioner Mr. Xu Dashan from Shuangcheng City was taken to the Xigemu Forced Labor Camp of Jiamusi City. Because he steadfastly practices Falun Dafa, he was hung up by his hands cuffed behind his back, and was also held in the small cell as a means of torture.

4. [Heilongjiang Province] Practitioner Mr. Wang Jun Still Held and Tortured Illegally in the Jiamusi City Detention Center
Practitioner Mr. Wang Jun has been tortured in the Jiamusi City Detention Center since he was arrested and held on February 14, 2006.
For quite a while now, the Jiamusi City Detention Center has been forcing those held there to make decorative toothpicks to export to South Korea (later transferred to the U.S.). In the detention center, each cell must make six boxes of them (each box contains twenty thousand), with an average of ten to eleven thousand for each person to make. Each prison guard receives about 12 yuan per box under his/her cell. Since Mr. Wang Jun could only finish eight thousand pieces, he was forced to mop the floor and clean the bathroom. Every day the workload requires eighteen to twenty hours to complete. Even so, the head guard of the cell still repeatedly beat Mr. Wang Jun.

Practitioners Mr. Sun Jiangdong and Ms. Chen Guangxia from Bincheng District of Binzhou City were arrested by police at 11:00 a.m. on July 26, 2006, when they were posting truth-clarification materials. They are currently being held illegally in a detention center.

Ten days ago, practitioner Ms. Chen Fang and her husband from the Yueshan Copper Mine of Huaining County, Anqing City in Anhui Province were arrested. Their current whereabouts are unknown. At home they have a twelve-year-old child with no one to take care of her.
8. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Police Attempting to Send Three Practitioners, Including Ms. Ou Yunjie, to Jinan City
Practitioners Ms. Ou Yunjie, Mr. Liu Zhirong, and Ms. Min Huirong went on hunger strikes in the Dashan Detention Center of Qingdao City on July 25, 2006 to protest the persecution. For the past few days, the police were attempting to send these three practitioners to Jinan City.
9. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Facts on the Persecution of Practitioner Mr. Qiao Zengyi and his Daughter
On the evening of June 21, 2006, more than ten people from the Nan'gang District Police Department of Harbin City, the State Security Division and the CCP Residential Committee Office knocked at the door of practitioner Mr. Qiao Zengyi’s home and attempted to arrest him, but failed. On the morning of June 22, 2006, they came back again to knock at the door of Mr. Qiao Zengyi. At about noon, they illegally smashed open the door and rushed inside. They removed a photo of Master Li and some other items and arrested the daughter of Mr. Qiao Zengyi and Ms. Qiao Mingfei. At around 4:00 p.m., they also arrested Mr. Qiao Zengyi, who is currently being held in the Nan'gang District Police Department.

10. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Information on the Persecution of Practitioners Ms. Xia Xueying and Ms. Hu Yanfang
Practitioners Ms. Xia Xueying and Ms. Hu Yanfang from Wuchang District of Wuhan City were arrested on July 18, 2006 when they were making truth-clarification materials. Since then, Ms. Xia Xueying has been illegally held in the Yangyuan Brainwashing Center of Wuchang District. Her current health condition is poor as she has very high blood pressure. The authorities are not allowing her family members to visit. On July 25, 2006, people from the Wuchang District 610 Office, the Wuchang District Police Department, and from the Zhongshan Road Social District forcibly ransacked Ms. Xia Yueying’s home. They confiscated all of the Falun Dafa books and Falun Dafa truth-clarification materials they could find.
Practitioner Ms. Hu Yanfang has been held in the Ankang Hospital (a psychiatric hospital), where she is being tortured and having drugs injected into her against her will. Nobody has been allowed to visit and it is not clear how she is doing.
11. [Chongqing City, Sichuan Province] Facts on the Persecution of Falun Dafa Practitioners in the Xishanping Forced Labor Camp
On the morning of December 26, 2005, prisoners charged with drug abuse poured freezing water onto the neck of practitioner Mr. Bai Tianshi, who has been refusing to write the three statements. They have repeatedly tortured him with this method.
At midnight on February 13, 2006, the drug abusers used stools to smash practitioner Mr. Wu Qun’s toes. On February 15, 2006, they again smashed his toes. His toenails were about to come off. Mr. Wu Qun lost consciousness every time he was tortured. Police officer Wang Cheng (male) is a division chief in charge of persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners. He told the drug abusers that they could do anything they needed to make Mr. Wu Qun write the three statements."
The breakfast there only consists of half a bun and very dilute rice porridge. For both lunch and dinner, the meal contains only 25 grams (less than 1 ounce) to 50 grams (less than 2 ounces) of rice. One practitioner tried to buy 250 grams (9 ounces) of rice for lunch. The drug abusers said, "As long as you write the three statements you do not need to pay for the lunch. However, if you refuse to write them, then we will apply starvation as a remedy."
At the beginning of 2006, police officers led by Lei Kejin (male) and the middle division chief, tried to extort money from practitioners. Every day, practitioners are only allowed to sleep for three hours. Every month, a new "Criticize Falun Gong Conference" is added. If one does not write anything or go onto the stage to criticize Falun Gong, then he is subjected to brutal torture and starvation.
12. [Hebei Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Gao Jiuyun Taken to Brainwashing Center
At about 1:00 p.m. on July 13, 2006, three to four people including Zhu Wencheng (male), and the leader of the Quzhou County 610 Office in Hebei Province, broke into the home of practitioner Ms. Gao Jiuyun, who is a teacher in the County Experimental Middle School, and confiscated some of her Falun Dafa materials and copies of the "Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party" in book and DVD format. Later, they took Ms. Gao Jiuyun to the police department and forced her to reveal the names of other practitioners, as well as the source of the truth-clarification materials.
In the afternoon of the same day, police forced Ms. Gao Jiuyun’s family to hand in ten thousand yuan as a deposit and extorted nine thousand yuan from the County Experimental Middle School where Ms. Gao works. The next day, Ms. Gao Jiuyun was taken to the Handan City Brainwashing Center.
13. [Dezhou City, Shandong Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Xing Liqiu Arrested by Public Security of Xincheng City
At about 11:00 a.m. on August 1, 2006, two plainclothed agents suddenly appeared at the home of practitioner Ms. Xing Liqiu, who is a staff member of the Cotton and Hemp Station Oil Factory of Dezhou City, and started to harass Ms. Xing and her family. Ms. Xing Liqiu clarified the truth to the agents, who not only refused to listen, but also called in five to six police officers, who then forcibly ransacked Ms. Xing Liqiu’s home. They confiscated Master Li’s Falun Dafa lectures, as well as a stack of truth-clarification materials. In addition, they took Ms. Xing Liqiu and her husband, practitioner Mr. Zhou Yunsheng, to the police station. Because Ms. Xing Liqiu refused to give up practicing Falun Dafa, she was taken to the Dezhou City Detention Center at 6:00 p.m.. They also illegally confiscated her husband’s cell phone.

Recently, practitioners Ms. Tang Yunxia (from Tianpeng Town) and Ms. Xie Changxiu (from Zhouwaba Village, Mengyang Town of Pengzhou City) were transferred from Chengdu City to the Pengzhou City Detention Center, where they are being tortured.

15. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Xie Dewen Illegally Held for Twenty-one Months in the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp
Practitioner Ms. Xie Dewen from Dalian City was arrested by the Yongquan Police Station of Shahe District in Dalian City because she was distributing truth-clarification materials about Falun Dafa. She was first held illegally for one month in the Dalian City Detention Center, and later transferred to the Dalian City Forced Labor Camp. Five months later, the Women’s Division of the Dalian City Forced Labor Camp was disbanded. She was then transferred to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. She has been held there illegally for twenty-one months. Her family members have gone to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp to try to visit Ms. Xie Dewen, but they were turned away each time.

Practitioner Ms. Qiu Guiyuan from Dahuhou Village is sixty-two years old. She was forcibly taken away from her home on July 29, 2006. The two practitioners are currently being held illegally in the Qidong Detention Center. Since July, the 610 Office of Qidong County in Hunan Province and the State Security Division illegally arrested and held more than ten practitioners. Among them, practitioner Ms. Peng Huayang was illegally sentenced to two years of forced labor. Practitioner Mr. Zhou Guangquan was illegally sentenced to three years of forced labor. 24. [Hebei Province] Persecution Facts of Practitioner Ms. Wei Ailan, Teacher of the Hui’an County Professional Education Center
Practitioner Ms. Wei Ailan was an excellent teacher of the Hui’an County Professional Education Center. She was highly respected by school officials and students for her excellent work. However, because she steadfastly refuses to give up her faith in Falun Dafa, she has been persecuted by the local authorities.
In September 2001, the principal of the Professional Education Center, Ji Quanming (male) colluded with other people in the school to forcibly send Ms. Wei Ailan to the County Brainwashing Center where she was tortured for six days, causing her to become extremely weak.
In the middle of September 2002, Ms. Wei Ailan was taken to the City Brainwashing Center for twelve days, causing her to be unconscious for four days. Her entire body went numb. She also became incontinent and her life was endangered.
In the latter half of 2000, Ms. Wei Ailan lost her job. Her salary and benefits have been stopped since then. In order to regain her basic rights of survival, Ms. Wei Ailan repeatedly went to her workplace to ask for her job back and request her salary. However, Ji Quanming repeatedly ordered the gate guards to block her from entering the school.

On the afternoon of August 2, 2006, the Wanli Township Police Station of the Developing District colluded with the Developing District Police Department to arrest six Falun Dafa practitioners and a non-practitioner at work. They illegally confiscated a minivan. We have not yet found out where they are being held.

(1) The detainee is locked up in a very small cell individually. The guards handcuff practitioners on their back in a fixed position, in which the practitioners can neither move nor lie down. The small cell is very damp and no sunshine comes in. Detainees have to urinate and defecate in the cell. Only half of a regular meal is served to detainees locked up in a small cell during the daytime. During the night the rats are running around. The stench in the small cell is so bad that it is difficult to breathe.
