(Clearwisdom.net) To raise awareness of and to stop the Chinese Communist regime's atrocities of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners, Michigan practitioners recently organized several car tours. After their first car tour on August 17-18, they held two others on September 7 and 12 and visited 6 cities. In each city, they held a press conference and distributed truth-clarifying materials to expose the persecution.
Courthouse Policeman: The Chinese Communist Party Is Too Evil
On September 7, the car tour visited Flint, Saginaw, and Bay City. When the team was holding a press conference at the Saginaw County Courthouse at noontime, many people accepted the practitioners' truth-clarifying materials. An official came to acquire a copy. After learning about facts of the organ harvesting atrocities, a courthouse policeman said that the Chinese Communist Party is too evil and has done such inhumane things. He said that he would let his government know about this in order to help stop these atrocities.
State Senator Sends His Support
When holding a press conference Saginaw, the practitioners received a letter from Mike Goschka, state senator of the 32 district. In the letter, he wrote:
"I wholeheartedly support the efforts of the Falun Gong practitioners of Michigan in their efforts to bring an end to the horrific practice of organ harvesting being carried out upon the Falun Gong practitioners in China. The practice of harvesting organs from innocent prisoners of conscience is a crime against humanity.
"The Chinese government must put an immediate stop to the reckless killing of innocent people, and recognize and uphold the value of human life. This appalling practice attacks the very roots of morality and justice and must not be allowed to continue.
"Therefore, I call on the citizens of the state of Michigan and the people of the United States, as well as the entire international community to pressure the Chinese government to put a stop to these atrocities. Finally I call directly upon the Chinese government to make a public commitment to uphold the value of human life and to guarantee a safe and secure future for the citizens of China."
On September 12, the car tour visited Jackson, Battle Creek and state capital Lansing. State representative Aldo Vagnozzi attended the press conference held in Lansing and gave a speech. He called on all kind-hearted people to take immediate action to stop the atrocities. In the past several years, Vagnozzi has been very supportive of the practitioners' efforts.
State representatives Robert Gosselin and Lee Gonzales also wrote to the car tour, expressing their support to this effort to end the atrocities.
Mr. Gosselin wrote: "The freedom of worship, freedom of association, and the dignity of the individual are rights which supersede the whim of man-made government. It is in recognizance of these universal human rights that I challenge the citizens in Michigan, the people of the United States, and the international community to pressure the Chinese government and put a stop to these atrocities."
"One day, people will thank you for telling them the truth today"
When the practitioners were holding a press conference in Battle Creek, city council member Deborah Owens attended the gathering on behalf of Mayor John Godfrey and read the Mayor's proclamation letter. Ms. Owens had studied many reports on Falun Gong and was very happy to attend the press conference on behalf of the Mayor. She commended the practitioners' unyielding spirit demonstrated during their tireless efforts in exposing and resisting the atrocities of the Chinese Communist regime.
She also commented that the practitioners had picked a good spot for the gathering because it is the park built in honor of Sojourner Truth. Ms. Truth took "Truth" as her last name and her firm belief helped her survive the darkest days as a slave, and she made great contributions to improve black slaves' rights. She said: "One day, people will thank you for telling them the truth today."
