(Clearwisdom.net) From December 18 to 22, 2007, the "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" Art Exhibition was held in Oshawa City, Ontario. This is the second time that the art exhibition has been held in Oshawa.
The artworks were created by artists who practice Falun Dafa. Through their spiritual practice, they see the purpose of life and try to return to their true selves. Their understandings about art have also deepened, and they manifest their understandings of life and their own experiences through their art.
Many people came to the exhibition, even though some had never heard about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were touched by the artworks and shocked by the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) brutality.
A young mother came to the exhibition with her son. She was moved to tears and said the brutality is worse than the Nazis' and that it was really wrong that the CCP regime was granted the privilege of holding the Olympics.
After viewing the art works, Patricia, a 15-year old girl, wrote: "I was really touched when I learned what Falun Gong is from the artworks. I am very angry that people are being persecuted because of their beliefs. This exhibition has made a deep impact on my life. It makes me want to know more about Falun Gong. It is really horrible that Falun Gong practitioners have been persecuted for something so pure and beautiful. I will never forget what I learned from the exhibition."
Several local artists came to the exhibition. One of them said, "This is real art. The modern arts often confuse me." One gentleman pointed at the artwork that described the persecution and said that from their eyes, he could tell how peaceful and brave Falun Gong practitioners were when they faced torture. He was deeply touched.
One gentleman liked the painting in which Master Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Dafa, is rotating a great Falun. He said the painting was very encouraging. A local physicist came to the art exhibition many times and brought a friend. A lady told practitioners that she knew how brutal the Communist Party is. Her grandparents were persecuted by the Russian communists before they escaped to Canada.
Many people were glad to have a chance to learn more about Falun Dafa. They asked for contact information for the local exercise sites. Some of them said that they would read Zhuan Falun.
