(Clearwisdom.net) When I read articles or watch videos online of practitioners recollecting Master Li's lectures, I am frequently moved to tears. Although I did not attended Master Li's lectures, when I had stayed and visited a place, I learned the story of a coordinator of a practice site who once had a chance encounter with Teacher. So, I wrote down the story to share with everyone.
Teacher held the first Falun Dafa lecture series in Changchun, Jilin Province, on May 13, 1992. He later held 54 series of lectures all over China. At the end of 1994, he finished his lectures in China. The coordinator who attended the final lecture series in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province was extremely fortunate.
His attending the event is a story of turning misfortune into blessing, and it also was fate.
That year, in the very bloom of youth, he found out he had developed leukemia. All kinds of treatment proved to be ineffective. According to the hospital diagnosis, there was not much time left for him. That was really a bolt from the blue for him. It is not hard to imagine the mental pressure he endured. He did not want to complicate things for his wife, so he immediately divorced her. His family could not bear to see his agony so they suggested that he travel to relieve his boredom and frustration.
Thus, he arrived in Guangzhou. One day walking down the street, he was careless and ran into a tall and kind-looking man. Both of them turned around and said, "Sorry." The man looked at him and immediately knew that he was ill. So, he gave him a ticket and told him to attend a qigong workshop.
The man was our great Master Li.
So, the man attended the workshop. After learning the Fa in the Nine-Day Lecture in Guangzhou he understood why he had fallen ill. From then, on he treated himself as a genuine cultivator, and his body was thoroughly renewed. His leukemia totally disappeared. He soon remarried his previous wife, who also began to cultivate Falun Dafa.
Later he set up a practice site to spread Falun Dafa in his city. At that time, only a few people in that city had attended Teacher's lectures. By 1999, thousands of people were practicing Dafa in that city.
