Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Han Shanhe, around 40 years old, was illegally arrested and detained at the township police station in early 2000 for distributing truth clarification materials. He escaped with the power of his righteous thoughts. Mr. Han was later taken back to the county detention center where he was held for more than one year past his term and was sentenced to six years in prison. He was persecuted at the Qinduankou Prison in Wuhan City. Han Shanhe firmly persisted in his belief, in Teacher and Dafa, and refused to cooperate with the guards. He often clarified the truth about Dafa and refused to write guarantee statements. He told everyone, "Falun Dafa is good!"
Han Shanhe’s parents are in their 80s. He has a wife and child. Their family went through much mental trauma and persecution during the past few years. Han Shanhe’s sentence expired on January 1, 2007 after six years in prison. When he stepped out of the prison gate, county 610 Office agents and four police officers were waiting and took him to the Hanjiang District brainwashing "class" in Wuhan City.
