1. [Liaoning Province] Personnel from Masanjia Prison No.2 Ward Create Difficulties for Family Members Visiting Detained Practitioners

Family members who want to visit practitioners being held at the Masanjia Prison No.2 Ward have to get an application form from the ward supervisor and ask the required department heads and leaders to sign according to the procedures. The process is extremely complicated, and as a result it takes a long time for family members to get visiting privileges.

In addition, personnel from some wards even inquire of family members whether or not they are Falun Gong practitioners. If they are, the visit is denied.

Police officers recently arrested practitioner Mr. Hou Guangqin. They ransacked his home and also pried open his drawer at work.

3. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioner Tai Yuzhen, an Employee of the Daqing City No. 6 Oil Extraction Factory, Detained

Practitioner Ms. Tai Yuzhen took a train home to Daqing City from her hometown of Tongliao City on the evening of February 28, 2007. Police officers from Tongliao City found some discs of Master's lectures in her bag during an inspection. They took her to the Tongliao City Railway Police Station and held her there until the morning of March 1, 2007. They contacted the Lamadian Police Department in Daqing City and told them to take Ms. Tai back. Li Zhiyou and two other people from the Lamadian Police Department picked her up on the afternoon of March 2 and escorted her back. They put her into the district's detention center on March 3, to be held for 15 days. They also fined her 1,000 yuan.

Practitioners Mr. Xu Wenguo, Ms. Wang Yan and Mr. Sun from Shulan City were arrested while they were making truth-clarification materials and sent to the city's police department on the evening of March 3, 2007. Ms. Wang's mother happened to be visiting at the time. Police officers arrested Ms. Wang's mother when they were ransacking Ms. Wang's home and took her to the police department. They also ransacked Mr. Xu's home, took 360 yuan from him, and confiscated his two computers. The police turned Mr. Sun's home upside down and confiscated his two computers.

Personnel from the National Security Division have followed and monitored practitioner Mr. Zheng Fulin for a long time for practicing Falun Gong. He is an employee of the Tianzhu County Water Conservancy Bureau. They arrested Mr. Zheng and took him to the Tianzhu County Police Department on March 1, 2007. He is presently being held at the Tianzhu County Detention Center for persecution.

Personnel from the Wenjiang District National Security Division in Chengdu City and security officers from the No.711 Factory ransacked practitioner Mr. Kan Zongquan's home for the fifth time in December 2006. The city's National Security Division chief and the Wenjiang National Security chief led some people equipped with network detection instruments. They confiscated the following items: two laptop computers, a copy machine, two CD burners, an MP3 player, a computer handwriting input board, some Dafa books, a set of audio tapes of Master's lectures, some truth-clarification materials, and over 200 blank CDs, in total worth 10,000 yuan.

Police officers arrested practitioner Ms. Feng Baolan, in her 60s, Mr. Xu Xingguo, in his 50s, and Mr. Xu Bin from Yongxing County, Chenzhou City when they went to the county's Qianchong Township to distribute truth-clarification materials on February 28, 2007.

Practitioner Ms. Feng Baolan has been released. Her family was fined 6,000 yuan.
