On February 1, 2007, Ms. Yang Rubi and another Falun Dafa practitioner passed by Chongqing Superior Court. Ms. Rubi was suddenly seized by two plainclothes police officers who appeared out of nowhere. The two practitioners were transported to the Xinpaifang Police Station against their will, there to be searched while the police attempted to use extortion to obtain a “confession” from them.
Later, Yang Rubi was taken to the Zhangjia Garden police station for a ten-day detention. When her children went to take her home after her detention, they were told that she was sentenced to one year in a labor camp and that she had been sent to Maojiashan Prison in the Wulidian area. Her family members were not allowed to visit her.
