"It Was Falun Gong That Saved Me from a Great Disaster"

On the morning of March 13, 2007, a Falun Gong practitioner from Houzhuang Village, Dabai Township, named Hou Xiaoping, and her husband were driving a carload of sugar to Nanwangji Bridge when three students on bicycles made an abrupt turn towards them without giving any signal. Because the car was moving at a high speed and did not have enough time to stop, her husband turned the steering wheel in order to avoid hitting the students. This abrupt turn caused the car to run into a deep ditch on the roadside.

At the pivotal moment, Hou Xiaoping called out, "Falun Gong is good!" Just as soon as the words were said, a huge noise was heard and the car hit the edge of the ditch. The front of the car, including the windshield, was all smashed. A few residents from Nanwangji Village happened to witness the accident. They froze in shock and then commented, "Even if those people in the car survived the crash, they must have sustained severe injuries!"

A kindhearted man brought a rope from home and people used it to pull one of the car doors open. The couple crawled out of the car from the narrow opening. It was a very deep ditch and the car was totaled. The couple were covered with glass fragments. Their clothes were cut open in many places and glass fragments were dotted all over their faces, but neither one had even a scratch. It must have been divine intervention. People at the scene commented, "You two certainly have great fortune!" Ms. Hou told them, "It was Falun Gong that protected us from harm." As a result, people at the scene witnessed and understood the magnificent power of Falun Gong!

Ms. Hou's husband did not believe in Falun Gong, but he is now convinced of Falun Gong's magnificence after having survived this car crash. He says to everyone he meets these days, "It was Falun Gong that saved me from a great disaster." The news quickly spread in the nearby areas, giving people another opportunity to learn the magnificence of Falun Gong.

A Child Miraculously Survives Being Hit by a Truck

One evening in April 2006, the daughter of a practitioner in Zhaoyuan City was riding a bicycle home with several classmates. One of them had to stop because her shoestrings were untied. The rest of them stopped on the roadside to wait for her to retie her shoes. Suddenly, a truck driver lost control of his vehicle and hit the practitioner's daughter, who has been holding her classmate's bicycle. She and the bicycle fell into the roadside ditch. The seat and the bicycle frame were bent out of shape. The suddenness of the accident shocked everyone at the scene.

The straps on her backpack were broken, and the papers in her backpack were ruined. Bystanders thought she must have suffered a concussion or at least a fracture, but she got up by herself. She felt a little pain in her wrist and there was a big bump with blood on her head, but the doctor announced that she was perfectly well after she was checked over at the hospital.

It was our compassionate and revered Teacher who protected the child at that crucial moment. It is also because the girl has always believed that Falun Gong is good. According to the child, she often recites "Falun Gong is good" and "Truth, Compassion and Forbearance are good" from her heart.

It's Falun Gong That Saved My Whole Family

I am a resident of Renqiu. In the fall of 1998, my husband fell off a farm vehicle that was moving very fast. He stayed in the hospital for 28 days and was unable to walk until about a month after he had checked out of the hospital. However, he could no longer work. We had to provide for our two school-aged children with tuition fees. As a small woman, I did not have the strength or will to support the family alone.

It was then that I was introduced to and started practicing Falun Gong. During the cultivation process, I understood the real meaning of life. Several illnesses that had bothered me for many years disappeared. I became perfectly healthy and was able to assume all the work in the field and at home. I was very happy.

However, the Chinese Communist Party started to suppress Falun Gong on July 20, 1999. My husband and my relatives feared for my safety, so they kept asking me to give up practicing. I knew Falun Gong was good from the bottom of my heart. Without Falun Gong, my health and my family would have collapsed. I was impervious to everything they said.

On January 20, 2007, my husband suddenly had a heart attack. He regained consciousness after emergency resuscitation. On the fourth day in the hospital, the doctor did another exam and announced that my husband's heart no longer worked and he needed a heart transplant in Beijing. Four days in the hospital cost us over 4,000 yuan. How could we possibly come up with the money for a heart transplant in Beijing? I decided to have my husband checked out of the hospital.

After we arrived home, I explained important facts about Falun Gong to my husband and asked him to say "Falun Gong is good." After about five days, he could eat. After a short while, he could take care of himself and help with some housework. Falun Gong has given my husband a new lease on life. Let me ask those of you who work in Renqiu City's public security system a question: How can I give up practicing Falun Gong?
