I am from Hebei Province. I traveled to Huludao City to post Falun Dafa truth clarification materials on March 17, 2007. After posting two pieces, a minivan suddenly pulled up, and a plainclothes policeman stepped out and arrested me. I was taken to a police station. I was arrested at 8:00 a.m. and released at noon. During those four hours of detention four policemen were present. I am writing about my experience because it might be helpful for Falun Dafa practitioners in Huludao City.
Police officer: "How old are you? What's your job? What's your name? Why do you practice Falun Gong?"
I told them that my illness, which could not be cured, disappeared after I practiced Falun Gong. Falun Gong has spread worldwide and has improved human morality. I also told them that the self immolation was staged by the government. My answers were recorded. I felt like I was lecturing students, and I did not have any fear. I kept righteous faith and righteous thoughts toward Master Li and Dafa in my mind.
Police officer: "Where do your flyers come from?"
My answer: "I made them myself and copied them."
Police officer: "Why did you come to Huludao City? Why don't you stay at your place?"
My answer: "We can post information anywhere we want in my hometown. No bad people will interfere. Through Minghui (Chinese version of Clearwisdom.net) I learned that the situation in Huludao City was very bad, and many Falun Gong practitioners have been persecuted to death. Many people need to be saved, so I came here."
Police officer: "What effect will your posters have?"
My answer: "They will help save people. The CCP is evil, and people can be saved if they are freed from the CCP. The CCP is very corrupt, and out of control. The CCP will be destroyed. "Good is rewarded with good and evil receives retribution" is a heavenly principle. The whole universe is balanced. If evil did not receive retribution, the human race would have been exterminated a long time ago. I wouldn't be sitting here telling you this. Many facts demonstrate this.
One policeman listened very carefully to my words. I pointed to him and said "You have Buddha nature." He smiled.
Police officer: "Why does your Master forbid people to take medication?"
My answer: Master has never forbidden people to take medication. He told us the relationship between illness and medication. It is because people have done bad things that they fall ill.
Police officer: "Will you still practice Falun Gong?"
My answer: "Of course. I will practice Falun Gong all my life."
Police officer: "You can practice at home as you will. Don't come out. Don't come to our area to make trouble for us."
My answer: "I must clarify the truth. The purpose of life is to return our true selves. Repeating "Falun Dafa is good" and "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance is good" will save your life in a dangerous situation."
Police officer: "Your signature. You will be detained for 15 days."
My answer: "I did not commit any crime. I did good deeds. I will not sign."
Police officer: "Read it, and you will know what you are signing for."
The report was full of my own words and how Falun Dafa is good, and how good it is to practice Falun Gong. I knew the police were joking with me. So I signed.
Police officer: "You can leave now."
I was released.
During our conversation, one police officer spoke quietly "You are really lucky. The situation has changed a lot compared with before. You would not be treated like this before."
Master told us the situation has changed, and it is true. We should believe in Master and the Fa even more. The situation is getting better, but we cannot have the attachment of complacency, which would let the evil exploit our loopholes. It's very important to do well the three things, and study the Fa more. At the moment when the police arrested me, I first asked Master to help me and sent forth righteous thoughts. I realized why Master asks us to study the Fa more, and how important it is to study the Fa. With righteous faith and righteous thoughts toward Master Li and Dafa in your mind, you won't have the attachment of fear in a dangerous situation. We will overcome one difficulty after another.
