(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Ma Min of Shenqiu City, Henan Province has been illegally persecuted and detained for many years. She spent three Chinese New Years in the Shenqiu Detention Center behind high walls, and was later transferred to the notorious Shibalihe Forced Labor Camp for more torturous persecution. While she suffered in prison, her poor parents cried and cried to the point that they could not eat or sleep, causing their health to deteriorate rapidly. Eventually they both passed away without having a chance to see their daughter.
Ma Min began practicing Falun Dafa in 1997. Since that time, her path in life and philosophy of life have completely changed, as she has realized that the real goal of life is to return to one's true self through cultivation. As for her physical body, she would frequently get sick off and on, even though she had never come across any serious illness. But since she became a Dafa practitioner, her physical health has been the best of her entire life. Not only is she illness free, but also when she is on her bike, she feels as if she is being pushed from behind. Her skin shines. Seeing the big changes in her, her parents respected Dafa.
In July 1999, the Chinese Communist regime headed by former CCP chairman Jiang Zemin, started persecuting Falun Gong practitioners while initiating a large-scale smear campaign. The CCP covered Dafa with tons of lies and slander using all their tightly controlled media. Many Dafa practitioners, one group after another who peacefully appealed for Dafa were arrested, jailed, placed in labor camps, crippled, and killed by torture. At that time, the repressive atmosphere and the serious situation of terror felt like the "sky was falling down." Ma Min told some of her fellow practitioners: "As Dafa practitioners who have greatly benefited from Dafa, and when Teacher and Dafa are framed and slandered, we definitely have to come out to tell the truth to the public." So Ma Min decided to go to Beijing to appeal and to clarify the truth. But unexpectedly she was arrested by the County Security police Lu Feng and Hu An.
Police Captain Lu Feng detained Ma Min and other practitioners in the Public Security Bureau's detention center for almost four months. During that time, many practitioners were inhumanely tortured and deprived of their freedom. They were not allowed to practice Falun Gong. If caught, serious punishment would follow, such as beating, being slapped in the face, kicked, or being forced to wear ankle-chains. When they were finally released, Ma Min's family was extorted by policemen Lu Feng, Hu An and others for thirteen thousand yuan, which was saved up through Ma Min's family's tight budget.
Ma Min's freedom didn't last long. Early 2001, in the middle of the night on Chinese New Year's Eve, she was arrested again without any reason and was taken to the Xiguan Police Station. Police officers provoked her by saying, "Is Falun Gong good?" she answered, "Falun Gong is good." He asked, "How come Falun Gong is good?" Ma Min said, "Practicing Falun Gong not only strengthens your body, but also heightens your morality." He said, "The government doesn't allow it, why do you still do it?" She said, "The government listened and believed what wicked people with ulterior motives said, causing them to misunderstand." After what she said, Ma Min was once again locked up in prison.
Ma Min spent exactly eleven months in jail this time. During this period of more than 300 difficult days in prison, practitioners were not permitted to talk and to practice Falun Gong. Otherwise, whoever didn't obey the order would endure terrible beatings. The prison's inmates were instructed to carry out punishments. Some practitioners who didn't obey the instructions were ordered to have their feet shackled with weights as heavy as 42 pounds. These shackles are normally used on murderers or robbers.
One time, prison police ordered a few female practitioners to wear heavy feet shackles for forty some days and nights. One could imagine that those shackles were purposely made with needle-type wires to stick into a prisoner's skin so that every tiny move would hurt the wearer and feel like a knife causing excruciating pain. They even had to have their meals or use the restroom with the shackles on. Even worse, when a woman had her menstrual period, the only way was to tear apart her underwear to replace it with clean ones, but this would also tear-apart her skin.
There was another time when Dafa practitioners did not go along with the wicked order that prohibited Falun Gong practice. The prison guards went crazy about it and immediately shackled them. In addition, they handcuffed one of practitioner Wang Xiangrong's feet to one of Ma Min's feet. In other words, when one moves, the other has to move too. It was so painful and so hard to move just a little bit, let alone sleep. When they got too sleepy, they fell asleep, but when one woke up to go to the toilet, the other had to get up too. The two had to move forward little by little. Ma Min and Wang Xiangrong were tortured like this for a week before their torturous "togetherness" was released.
In the most tumultuous years of persecution against Dafa and Dafa practitioners, Ma Min spent three Chinese New Years in Shenqiu Detention Center. Seeing beautiful lights everywhere and hearing sounds of firecrackers, Ma Min's parents were painfully waiting just inside the front door. They missed their dear daughter; they could not bear the sorrow and left this miserable world. Who is at fault for their deaths? It is Jiang Zemin and the evil Chinese Communist regime that is responsible for this crime. The wicked guards in the Shenque City are responsible too.
