(Clearwisdom.net) As a teacher and practitioner, I use every opportunity to “clarify the truth” to my students. I use many different forms of to accomplish this, according to their different ages, classes and characteristics of the lessons.
-
I teach about myths and legends around the world over the course of human history, teaching the students about traditional culture, and eliminating the atheism that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has indoctrinated them with.
-
I teach about traditional culture and historic stories. I teach them about the heavenly law that good is rewarded with good and evil is met with evil.
-
I teach the story about how the CCP is an evil, red dragon, about corruption in modern society, and about the myriad atrocities committed by the CCP in persecuting good people. I help them to recognize the evil of the CCP clearly, and promote quitting the CCP.
I grasp every opportunity to incorporate “Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance” into my classes. In every class I tell only one or two stories, or one or two aspects of the “Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance.” For example, when talking about “Truthfulness,” I may tell a historic story first, and teach them the harm of telling lies by comparison. I also require them to tell the truth, not tell lies, do true deeds, not deceive those above them while cheating those lower, and to be honest and trustworthy students. When talking about “Compassion,” I tell them to be kind. At home, they should treat their parents well, obey their requests, help them to do some housework, and be considerate of others. At school, they should respect their teachers, be in harmony with their classmates, help each other, look out for each other, not fight, not insult others, study diligently, and work well. I also tell them stories about respecting their teachers and helping fellow students. When talking about “Forbearance,” I teach students to be tolerant in conflicts, to look inside and search for reasons in themselves, think more for others, and how to tell if one is right or wrong by considering others' viewpoints. One should not only think about how right they are. Sometimes, one knows that one is wrong, but would still like to find fault with others. This is not forbearance at all. There is a saying, “If you are tolerant, the winds are gone and the sea is quiet; if you step backward a little, you will find the sea is broad and the sky is clear.” With this, the students can be in harmony with each other, avoid conflicts, and be good friends to each other. Sometimes, I will talk about the good of Falun Dafa and the evil of the CCP. The students are all pleased to listen, and most of them agree with me.
By studying Dafa, I eliminated my fear. Master said,
“So, as Dafa disciples you should do well what you are supposed to do. Don't worry about what's going to transpire in the future, it's enough if you know inside what you should do, carrying the Fa in your mind, doing whatever needs to be done, and doing whatever you wish to do, as long as Dafa needs it.” (Teaching the Fa at the Fa Conference at the U.S. Capital)
For the graduatd students this year, I gave them four sentences as a gift. I wrote them on the blackboard. “Be honest to friends, be kind to teachers and elders, be tolerant when in conflicts, study hard and be a good person.” Then, I explained, sentence by sentence, how to be honest, kind, and tolerant, how to study hard, and what kind of good person they should be.
When I had just finished, one student said, “If you take the second character out of each sentence, you get 'Zhen, Shan, Ren, Hao'.” [Truth, Compassion, Forbearance (is) Good]
I said, “I ask that you are an honest and kind student. Isn't this right?”
“Yes!”
“So is Zhen-Shan-Ren good?”
“Yes it is!”
“So you should do as I told you, and you will all have happiness. Please remember the heavenly law- good is rewarded with good and evil is met with evil.”
What I have done is far from enough, and far from the requirements of Master. In the future I will continue to do the “three things well”, and be diligent.
