(Clearwisdom.net) The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has throughout its history proclaimed that it is always “great, glorious and correct.” Over the years, the party has used all sorts of wicked means trying to bolster this false image in attempts to deceive the people and maintain and consolidate its autocratic dictatorship. Here we would like to give a few examples to reveal how the CCP has disguised itself.
I. When something good happens, whether big or small, the CCP will always claim it is their doing and will put that on their record of merits
The CCP's ancestors were a bunch of hoodlums and ruffians, who started with “violence, destruction and robbery”. Therefore, “robbery” is one of the most typical behavior of the CCP. Recalling history, we can see that whether it was the victory over the Resistance War against Japan or a scientific invention, whether it was a championship won by sports players or an increase of income of the rural people, or even when a primary school pupil did something good, the CCP would rob them all and use them to prove its “greatness, gloriousness and correctness.”
Take the victory of the Resistance War against Japan for example. During the celebration of the 60th anniversary of its so-called victory in the war, the CCP accelerated its efforts to depict itself through all forms of propaganda as the “mainstay during the war against Japan”, and that it “won great victory of the war after leading the Chinese people to fight with extreme difficulties”, etc. Is this true in fact? There are documentations which show that the Resistance War against Japan started after the “September 18” incident in 1931, and the Lugou Bridge incident in 1937 which caused the war to break out on all fronts. The war lasted 14 years. When the war broke out, the Nationalist Party (Chiang Kai Shek's KMT) had an army of 3 million people and 200 fighter planes, while the Japanese had an army of 2 million people with 2000 fighter planes. The CCP had just fled to Yanan in North Shannxi by then, with an army of less than 30,000 people. They hid in the mountains, trying to survive by growing and selling opium, without sufficient manpower, decent weapons, food or money. How could it possibly have been the “mainstay during the Resistance War against Japan”? Also, the war against Japan lasted 14 years. Why is it that the CCP only talks about 8 years? What were they doing in the other six years? This simple fact reveals that the CCP lies when it claimed that it led the Chinese people during the Resistance War against Japan.
Furthermore, during the “Cultural Revolution” the CCP built a 10,000-tonne ship named “Fengqing Ship.” The CCP media made a great fuss about it, saying that “the building of the Fengqing Ship opened a new page in China's ship-building history, putting an end to the old history when China was incapable of building 10,000-tonne ships, and it was a great victory of Mao Zedong.” The CCP tried to link anything good with itself. However, the fact is that in 1928, 40 years before the “Cultural Revolution”, the South China Ship-Building Yard built four 10,000-tonne ships for the US, and they all passed the quality control set by the Ministry of Commerce of the US. How would you explain this?
II. When anything bad happens, whether big or small, the CCP will completely shirk its responsibility in the matter
This is the principle the CCP has followed for over 50 years since it usurped state power in order to create a false image of “greatness, gloriousness and correctness” and to deceive people. Such behavior of the CCP is commonplace. For example, from 1959 to 1962, during the three year famine period, the Chinese people were starving and beggars were seen everywhere, and there even appeared a phenomenon of people eating people due to hunger. The miserable scenes at that time were beyond description. Over 40 million people died of starvation during that period of time. Facing such a disaster, the CCP never showed any intent to reflect upon itself; instead, they deceived the Chinese people and people around the world by saying that the famine was due to “natural disasters,” and lightly shifted the causes of the disaster to “heaven,” while the CCP still remained “great, glorious and correct.” Recalling the situation then, no major natural disaster occurred to affect agricultural production during those three years, and the weather conditions were by and large favorable. The main cause for the national famine was due to the mindless command of the CCP. The following fact says it all.
Since the CCP believed that sweet potatoes were a high-yield crop, they forced peasants to grow sweet potatoes with no regard to the actual conditions or the time of the year. Sweet potatoes should be planted in May, but in July, the CCP officials at grassroots level forced the peasants to pull out their young corn seedlings and grow sweet potatoes instead, and as a result there was no yield of either corn or sweet potatoes. There was a local saying at the time to deride the stupid command of the CCP officials, “Grow sweet potatoes in July, dig them out in August, there is no sweet potato, but hairy roots.” One can imagine what the other situations were like in the agricultural sector.
III. Suppress righteousness and advocate evil, cheating people by changing the content of Chinese traditional culture on the sly
China is a civilized ancient country with a rich history of 5000 years. China has glorious national culture and has made great contributions towards the advancement of the world's cultural history and has made a far-reaching impact. Chinese traditional culture is regarded by some as a semi-divine culture.
However, after the CCP usurped state power, not only did it fail to carry on the traditional Chinese culture, but it also slandered the essence of the Chinese culture as “old traditions,” “old customs,” “old thoughts” and “old habits” and it has never stopped its efforts to destroy traditional Chinese culture. Take the Beijing opera for example. The Beijing opera has a history of over 200 years, and through efforts of generations of artists, it has produced many excellent shows and became a precious stone in the treasure house of Chinese culture. People view Beijing opera as “national treasure” and it is very popular among the people. But the CCP is scared of the ethics and morals depicted in the shows and worried that these would obstruct the consolidation of their dictatorship. Therefore, the CCP labeled the traditional shows of the Beijing opera as “feudal, bourgeoisie and revisionist” and went all out to criticize, restrict and eliminate them, especially during the “Cultural Revolution” where they drove all the traditional Beijing opera shows off the stage and replaced them with eight CCP Beijing opera shows, which were constantly and repeatedly performed. Beijing opera was thus completely under the control of the CCP. However, when celebrating the 50th anniversary of Central Beijing Opera Academy, the CCP behaved totally differently. It used all forms of media to advocate that “the development and prosperity of Beijing opera have been achieved under the righteous guidance of the CCP, which has inherited and developed Chinese traditional culture, eliminating the old and producing the new. It once again shamelessly advocates that the CCP has always been “correct.”
IV. Strike hard, then rub lightly
This is another common tactic used by the CCP to establish its image as being “great, glorious and correct.” The assessment and rehabilitation work after each political movement gives most clear evidence of this wicked tactic. The “anti-rightists”movement in 1957 is a typical example. At that time, the CCP encouraged Chinese intellectuals to help with the so-called rectification work. The innocent and kind-hearted intellectuals made some constructive suggestions to the CCP. Then the CCP turned against them, believing that these intellectuals wanted to use this opportunity to drive the CCP out of office. Immediately, they cracked down on intellectuals and launched a comprehensive campaign against them, resulting in a great number of intellectuals being labeled as “rightists” who were against the Party and the people. Some of the intellectuals were fired from their employment, some were put into prison, some were sentenced to forced labor and some others lost their lives. There were also intellectuals whose families were broken up and members of their families died. That campaign caused the Chinese intellectuals to suffer grievous disasters.
Twenty-eight years later, the CCP set out to redress these victims, but without revealing their ruthless attacks against Chinese intellectuals. Instead, the CCP emphasized that if a political party could recognize its mistakes and rectify them that would demonstrate wisdom, strength and maturity of the party and that the party is highly responsible to the people. At the same time, the CCP stipulated many regulations, especially requiring the victims not to pay attention to details. It is obvious that the CCP meant to say: now that we have redressed your case, you should feel good about it; don't ask for anything else.
As usual, the CCP, through the tactic of redressing, again presented itself to the people as being “great, glorious and correct.”
