(Clearwisdom.net) A practitioner's progress in cultivation and xinxing improvement depend on studying the Fa. Studying the Fa made me realize that the evil persecution of Dafa and practitioners over the past seven years happened because practitioners did not truly achieve total negation and eradication of all of the old forces' arrangements. Many of us today still have varying degrees of fear. This fear has slowed the Fa-rectification down, meanwhile prolonging the existence of the old forces. If practitioners had used righteous thoughts together to eliminate all the evil factors damaging and interfering with Master's Fa-rectification in other dimensions, the old forces would have nowhere to hide. This equally applies to anti-persecution efforts when exposing the persecution to the public and clarifying the truth. If everyone managed to maintain powerful righteous thoughts, many fellow practitioners would have avoided persecution.

To rid ourselves of fear, we must have a solid foundation in the Fa and understand the Fa well. We must truly cultivate ourselves amidst a tribulation to get rid of it. Fear gives birth to many other bad notions and thus blocks our efforts to save sentient beings. If we do not study the Fa well, comprehending the Fa and raising our levels will be difficult. This will make it virtually impossible to abandon the mentality of fear.

To do well the three things Master has asked us to do, we must cultivate ourselves well.

"The Buddha School emphasizes cultivating Shan of Zhen-Shan-Ren. Because the cultivation of Shan can generate great, benevolent compassion, and when compassion develops one will find all beings suffering, the Buddha School thus develops an aspiration to offer salvation to all beings." (Lecture One, Zhuan Falun)

Practitioners are the hope of salvation for all beings. Whether a person will have a future or not depends on the compassion of practitioners to offer salvation. How can our fear still block steps to salvation? Why don't we get rid of it as soon as possible? Time does not wait for us. If we do not have a sense of urgency, we could lose the opportunity for many predestined people to be saved. Won't that leave us with remorse?

If we want to get rid of fear, we must study the Fa more. The Fa will help us get rid of fear and we will thus constantly improve our comprehension of the Fa.

"In the Fa-rectification, there are those who ascend, there are those who descend, and there are those who are destroyed. Regardless of whether they are gods, humans, or ghosts, all will be placed anew in one of the positions in different realms--from survival to total elimination." ("Determination and Solidity," Essentials for Further Advancement)

Master's Fa has been put forward for all beings, and the Fa-rectification encompasses all beings. Doesn't this also include the old forces?

As practitioners, what do we have to fear? We practice Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. The old forces are controlling wicked people to defame and slander Falun Gong, but practitioners continue to clarify the truth; it is the sacred duty of practitioners to firmly safeguard Dafa. In the bone-chilling winter, we deliver truth-clarification materials with no complaints or regrets. In the sweltering summer, we still have no complaints or regrets when delivering truth-clarification materials. We have Master and the Fa to guide us and we are protected by Master's law bodies at all times. What do we have to fear? In my opinion, it is just an issue of how we look at things.

The second time I went to Beijing to appeal, as soon as I arrived, a fellow practitioner told me that everything was being closely monitored there. My thought at that time was that it was because the old forces were afraid of us. There were indeed guards and plainclothes officers everywhere looking for practitioners.

Why were the old forces afraid? Numerous practitioners went to Beijing to validate the Fa. If they shouted, "Falun Dafa is good!" and unfurled a banner, they were arrested and put in prison and tortured. In fact, the old forces were afraid because Falun Dafa is the Universal Law, the righteous Fa. If you shout "Falun Dafa is good!" at an evil place, of course the old forces will be afraid. Practitioners had not realized this at that time, but if we had, the persecution may not exist today. The wicked beings are continuing to use their tricks to try to mislead the Chinese people. They are unable to back down yet afraid. However, despite the efforts of the old forces in the persecution, countless indestructible and steadfast Dafa practitioners have matured through cultivation.
