(Clearwisdom.net) Practitioner Ms. He Ming, 60 years old, from Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province, was illegally arrested on June 16, from her home in Liantang Village by Luohu District police, who also ransacked her home and harassed her family. It was at least her 5th arrest since the start of the eight year persecution of Falun Gong. He Ming's two daughters are in the U.S., leaving only her 70-year-old husband, who is ill, at home.
Before retiring, He Ming had received the nation's highest scientific research achievement award, after having made a rather big contribution in the department where she worked. Due to having dealt with an overload of responsibilities over a long period of time, extensive research and other duties, He Ming had various health problems. She suffered a lot and no medical treatment helped. In 1996, after practicing Falun Dafa, all of her health problems disappeared. She became very healthy.
In July of 1999, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started persecuting Falun Gong. He Ming persistently and peacefully explained the truth behind the persecution of Falun Dafa to various departments. However, she ended up with her family's home ransacked, arrests, and illegal detentions, one time after another.
One midnight in 2001, the police came to arrest her, but she was out of town looking after her aging and sick parents. So the police went to interfere with her parents, causing them to be in a state of grief and fear.
In 2003, He Ming was forcefully taken from her home to the brainwashing center. She protested with a hunger strike. When she was released she was very weak.
In 2004, she was arrested while passing out truth-clarification materials. The police cruelly twisted her hands behind her back, breaking one of her arms.
In 2005, He Ming was again arrested and taken to the brainwashing center, where she was tortured mentally and physically. She was tortured with sleep deprivation, verbal abuse and humiliation, threats and intimidation, forced to listen to a high pitched noise in a small cell, and was forced to sign a guarantee statement. All of this caused her to suffer a mental collapse. It took a long period of time for her to get back to normal.
On June 16, police from Luohu District arrested He Ming at her home, along with two other older practitioners, Ms. Chen and Ms. Zheng. The police took away some CDs, including the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and some truth-clarification materials.
Institutions coordinating these vicious acts include Luohu Public Security Sub-Bureau, Shenzhen City Luohu Political and Law Committee, Liantang Police Station, and Pengxing Administration Bureau police and their thugs. Huang Huiwen and Huang Shengguo were among the police who committed these crimes. In order to break into her home, the police first cut off the power line to the house, then a person from the Administration Office said that their power line had overflowed and that it needed an immediate check-up. Consequently, the people in the house were deceived into opening the front door.
For eight years, He Ming has been going through many hardships and tribulations because of the persecution. The police even took her younger daughter to a brainwashing center in an attempt to force He Ming to give up cultivation. They also disallowed her freedom of movement for a few months. Unable to bear the harassment by the police, her two daughters have already gone to the U.S; her husband has developed high blood pressure and a heart problem. Now, He Ming is detained again, leaving her husband alone and in great physical and emotional suffering.
