(Clearwisdom.net) A total of six Falun Dafa practitioners from the Dashiba Region in Jiangbei District of Chongqing City were arrested on January 15, February 9, and May 16, 2007. Practitioners Mr. Zhu Zhilin and Mr. Zhao have been released, but practitioner Ms. Wu Huazhen is still being held. The following are accounts of the persecution of practitioners at the hands of the Jiangbei District Police Department, Dashiba Police Station and Chang'an Factory Police Department.
1. Mr. Yuan Qingsheng, 50 years old, 162nd Shop, 1st Plant, Chang'an Factory
Mr. Yuan Qingsheng went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong in 1999. He was arrested and taken to Chongqing, where he was imprisoned at the Jiangbei District Detention Center for one month and then the Brainwashing Center for one month. He was again taken to Huayun Mountain Brainwashing Center in July 2000. The Chang'an Factory Police Department gathered information about him, then sentenced him to two years of forced labor. He was locked in solitary confinement and a water dungeon with dead snakes and poisonous bugs at Xishanping Forced Labor Camp (more details about this torture method can be found at http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2004/7/5/49890p.html). He was beaten frequently and a poisonous sting caused a growth at the back his ear. It grew back after it was cut off. The forced labor camp released him on medical leave in 2002, because the officials were afraid he would die at the camp. He was monitored frequently at home by the residential committee. Mr. Yuan lost his income and his wife was laid off (later changed to retirement) due to the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP's) implication policy. Mr. Yuan was reported to the police for giving his coworkers truth-clarification CDs in 2003. He left home and went into hiding to avoid persecution. He was arrested in 2004 by the Fuling District Police Department in Chongqing City and sentenced to seven years in prison. At Dianjiang Prison, he was ordered to give up his belief, but he refused. He showed visiting relatives the scars on his hands and told them he was constantly hungry. His relatives brought cookies, but he was only able to eat a few before the wardens took them. The wardens said he would only get a couple bites of food at meals, unless he "transformed." Now Mr. Yuan is suffering severe torture and his life is in jeopardy. Mr. Yuan was a gambler in the past. He stopped gambling and became very responsible to his work and family after learning Falun Gong. A good person is being tortured like this.
2. Mr. Xiang Shihua, over 50, 162nd Shop, 1st Plant, Chang'an Factory
Mr. Xiang Shihua was rude to others, drank a lot and had lung disease. He did not give up his bad habits even when his wife divorced him. After practicing Falun Gong, he stopped drinking and his lung disease was gone, too. He became a completely different and good person. In 1999, Mr. Xiang was placed in Huayun Mountain Brainwashing Center for a month by the Chang'an Factory police. In 2001, he spent half a year in Banan District Detention Center for distributing truth-clarification materials. The torture there left his legs disabled. He was then sentenced to four years in prison, but Yongchuan Prison refused to accept him, because he is disabled and can't work. He was sent home on medical leave. Mr. Xiang continued to practice Falun Gong and his legs healed. On the night of February 9, 2007, policeman Li Xianyong and others from Jiangbei District Police Department, Jiangbei District 610 Office and Dashiba Police Station broke into Mr. Xiang's home and ransacked the place. He was illegally arrested and sentenced to one year of forced labor. He had difficulty walking and his legs were very swollen when his family visited him at Xishanping Forced Labor Camp.
3. Ms. Luo Peiping, 50 years old, 1st Plant, Chang'an Factory
In 2000, Ms. Luo Peiping was imprisoned at the Jiangbei District Detention Center for one month and the Brainwashing Center for one month for going to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. In 2001, she was sentenced to ten years in prison for distributing truth-clarification materials. She is currently held in the Yongchuan Women's Prison in Chongqing City, where she is forced to do labor intensive work for more than fifteen hours each day. She has been tortured mentally, abused physically and monitored around the clock. Now her husband is being tortured, too.
4. Mr. Xiang Dong, 24 years old, is Barely Surviving
As a child, Mr. Xiang Dong witnessed the benefits that his parents obtained from Dafa. He understood that Falun Dafa is good when he was very young. In 2000, at the age of 17, with a pure heart, he told others that "Falun Dafa is the Righteous Fa." However, the CCP held this innocent boy in the Banan Detention Center for half a year. The torture left his legs disabled and he could not care for himself. Still, he was sentenced to four years in prison. Yongchuan Prison refused to accept him so he went home on medical leave. The police arrested his father in 2007 and are searching for him. He left home and went into hiding.
5. Ms. Wu Huazhen, 55, Retiree from the 1st Plant, Chang'an Factory
Ms. Wu Huazhen suffered from many illnesses all her life but became very healthy after practicing Falun Gong. She went to appeal for Falun Gong in Beijing in 1999, but was arrested on the train and sent to a brainwashing center for a month. She went to Beijing again in June 2000 and was severely beaten by the Chongqing City Liaison Office police. She was imprisoned at the Jiangbei District Detention Center for over 30 days and sentenced to one year of forced labor by the Chang'an Factory Police Department. She was frequently harassed at home after her release. On the evening of January 5, 2007, officer Li Xianyong from the Jiangbei District Police Department, officer Deng Hongying from the Dashiba Police Station, director Han Leling and Party secretary Zhou Xiaoqiu of the Residential Committee, and three or four other people broke into her home. They ransacked it and took her computer and Dafa books. Ms. Wu, her husband and another visiting practitioner were taken to the Dashiba Police Station. Her husband was released after interrogation. Ms. Wu is currently imprisoned at the Jiangbei District Detention Center. Her mother died in pain and desperation. However, the police did not allow Ms. Wu to attend her mother's funeral. Ms. Wu has developed symptoms of high blood pressure and asthma at the detention center.
6. Ms. Yu Qunfang, 57, Retiree from the 1st Plant, Chang'an Factory
Ms. Yu Qunfang suffered from many diseases and was paralyzed and blind. After practicing Falun Gong, her diseases disappeared and she was also able to see. Ms. Yu went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong in 1999 and was arrested. She was imprisoned at the Jiangbei District Detention Center for 37 days by policeman Zhang Zhenhua from the Dashiba Police Station. On June 30, 2000, she was arrested by officers from the Chang'an Factory Police Department and imprisoned at the Jiangbei District Detention Center for 15 days. Then she was held in the Huayun Mountain Brainwashing Center for 20 days by policeman Yan Xiangming. Police officers Yan Xiangming and Rao Jiang put together a list of materials about her and illegally sentenced her to one year of forced labor. At the Maojia Mountain Women's Forced Labor Camp in Chongqing City, she was hung up in the air (more details can be found at http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2004/7/27/50708.html) for 20 days by female guards Ai and Xu. The guards beat her fiercely, forced her to stand and squat and prohibited her from taking showers. They also gagged her mouth with dirty socks and tape. Ms. Yu's husband was laid off due to the CCP's implication policy. In 2002, Ms. Yu was sentenced to two years of forced labor by the Yubei District Police Department in Chongqing City. She was locked in solitary confinement, allowed to use the bathroom only a few times a day, physically abused, and forced to carry out intensive labor work for over fifteen hours each day. The torture caused her fingers to become disfigured. She was forced to go to brainwashing classes and was psychologically tortured. Female guards Dai Wenjuan, He, and Wang Jin were directly involved in torturing her. After she returned home, she was monitored by Cui Zerong for a long time. On March 18, 2007, female guard Gui Li, whose cell number is 86-15909301062, led others to break into her home to arrest her again. Ms. Yu left home and went into hiding.
7. Ms. Yu Mingfang, 55 years old, a Retiree from the 1st Plant, Chang'an Factory
After the persecution of Falun Gong began in 1999, Ms. Yu Mingfang continued doing the exercises in public. She was arrested and locked up in the Jiangling Mental Hospital in Chongqing City for over 20 days by policeman Deng from the Chang'an Factory Police. She was forced to take drugs. Deng later received karmic retribution in the form of cancer and died suddenly. Ms. Yu went to Beijing in June 2000 to appeal for Falun Gong. She was taken to a forced labor camp, where she was held for one year, by policeman Yan Xiangming. At the forced labor camp, she was hung up with her hands cuffed behind her back and her toes barely touching the ground. She was not allowed to take showers during the summer heat. Wu Kuanyu, from her local Residential Committee, and officers from the Dapingba Police Station went to harass her in March 2007. She left home and went into hiding.
8. Ms. Li Guoying, over 40, Laid Off from Work
Ms. Li Guoying went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong twice. Each time she was arrested and held in a brainwashing detention center for torture. She was sentenced to one year of forced labor. Her company helped the police arrest her during the first Asia-Pacific Summit; she was taken to a brainwashing center.
9. Mr. Zhu Zhilin, over 40, Employee of the 1st Plant, Chang'an Factory
Mr. Zhu Zhilin went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong in 1999. He was arrested by police from Dashiping Police Station and imprisoned at the Jiangbei District Detention Center for more than 20 days. The police from Jiangbei District Police Department, 610 Office staff, and director Li from Dashiba Police Station broke into Mr. Zhu's home on the evening of February 9, 2007 and ransacked it. Mr. Zhu was taken into custody and held in Wangjiangting Brainwashing Center for over 80 days.
10. Mr. Feng Jun, over 40, Employee of the 1st Plant, Chang'an Factory
In 2001, Mr. Feng Jun was detained by the Chang'an Factory Police Department for one month and then sent to a brainwashing center for one month for distributing truth-clarification materials. He was sentenced to four years in prison. On February 9, 2007, officers from the Dashiba Police Station ransacked his home.
11. Ms. Tang Xiaoyi, over 40, Employee of the Banan District Grain and Oil Company
Ms. Tang Xiaoyi lives in Dashiba Region. She was sentenced to four years in prison for clarifying the truth in 2001. She was harassed by police at home after her release and forced to leave home to avoid further persecution.
12. Ms. Zhang Jun, over 60, Retiree from the 1st Plant, Chang'an Factory
The police broke into Ms. Zhang Jun's home three times. They ransacked her home and tried to arrest her. Officer Li Xianyong led a group of people in an attempt to arrest her on the street during the Asia-Pacific Summit. People on the street stopped them.
13. Mr. Guo Zhongyi, over 40, Employee of the 1st Plant, Chang'an Factory
Mr. Guo Zhongyi went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong in 2000. He was imprisoned at the Jiangbei District Detention Center for one month and then a brainwashing center for one month by Chang'an Factory Police. He was arrested again in 2001 by the Chang'an Factory Police and sentenced to four years in prison for making truth-clarification broadcasts. His wife divorced him because she was not able to endure the persecution any longer.
14. Mr. Liu Ronghua, over 60, Retiree of Instrument Factory
Mr. Liu Ronghua was imprisoned in the Jiangbei District Detention Center for one month for going to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong in 2000.
15. Ms. Cai Shuhui, over 60, Retiree of the 1st Plant, Chang'an Factory
Ms. Cai Shuhui was imprisoned at the Jiangbei District Detention Center for one month by officers of the Dashiba Police Station and at the Huayun Mountain Brainwashing Center for a month by the Chang'an Factory Police for going to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong in 2000.
16. Ms. Zhou Xinfang, 72 years old, Retiree of the 1st Plant, Chang'an Factory
Ms. Zhou Xinfang was arrested at the Chongqing Train Station for going to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong and then imprisoned at a brainwashing center for one month.
17. Mr. Chen Wenxin, 50 years old, Employee of the 1st Plant, Chang'an Factory
Mr. Chen Wenxin was sentenced to one year of forced labor by the Jiulongpo Police in Chongqing City for distributing truth-clarification materials.
18. Ms. Deng Ruhui, over 40, Employee of the 1st Plant, Chang'an Factory
Ms. Deng Ruhui was imprisoned at a brainwashing center in 2001. She was arrested and sentenced to one year of forced labor by the Jiulongpo police in 2005.
19. Ms. Zhu Hong, 50 years old, Retiree of the 1st Plant, Chang'an Factory
Police officers from the Dashiba Police Station ransacked Ms. Zhu Hong's home a few years ago.
20. Ms. Zhao Rong, over 50
On January 15, 2007, Ms. Zhao Rong was visiting practitioner Ms. Wu Huazhen. She was arrested by policeman Li Xianyong of the Jiangbei District Police Department and imprisoned at the Yubei District Detention Center for more than 20 days. Her home was ransacked.
21. Ms. Zhou Guangzhen, 55 years old, Retiree of the 1st Plant, Chang'an Factory
Ms. Zhou Guangzhen was arrested in 2000 and taken to the Huayun Mountain Brainwashing Center for one month by the Chang'an Factory Police. The police ordered her husband's company to lay him off because she refused to be "transformed." A few years ago, the police ransacked Ms. Zhou's home in Dashiba and ordered her to write a guarantee statement, promising not to practice Falun Gong. She left home and went into hiding for several months to avoid further persecution. The physical and psychological torture claimed her life on May 6, 2007.
22. Ms. Zhou Renqin and Mr. Xu Xuebing, over 60, Retirees of the 1st Plant, Chang'an Factory
Ms. Zhou Renqin and Mr. Xu Xuebing were frequently taken to the Dashiba Police Station for interrogation once the CCP began persecuting Falun Gong. They were ordered to list all Dafa practitioners' names and write guarantee statements promising not to practice Falun Gong.
