(Clearwisdom.net) Seven months before the persecution of Falun Gong started in 1999, I obtained the Fa and started to practice. All my health problems quickly disappeared. My husband was very happy. Therefore, he supported my activities to promote Dafa. For clarifying the truth, I was sentenced to two years in a forced labor camp. My disabled husband had to care for our young son alone and experienced harassment from authorities. He suffered so much. When I returned from the labor camp, he still supported me on my long journey to tell people the truth, a hundred miles from home.
In the remote mountainous areas, there are not many practitioners, and because every family owns a television, the people are deeply poisoned by the evil Party. Even when talking face to face, they are terrified when they hear the words "Falun Gong." They tremble and whisper to me, "Please stop talking!" fearing that others would hear and that they would be persecuted by the authorities. I was really sad and worried, but Teacher's Fa has given me encouragement. I went to those areas repeatedly. I secretly visited more families and distributed truth-clarification materials. I coordinated with the local practitioners, and sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil forces.
Once, I went to my husband's cousin's home to clarify the truth. The couple understood the truth all at once. They accepted the materials and the banner in my handwriting that read "Falun Dafa is good." After dinner, they told me that they would hang up the banner and read it with the door closed. Because each time I only stayed for a short period of time, I haven't yet been able to teach them the exercises. I have only sent Dafa books to them to read.
One day, I went to distribute truth-clarification materials and my sister-in-law came with me. She said, "I can't let you go on your own!" She showed me which families had Communist Party members, and which families had government officials.
Once, we took many materials with us. The distance between each village was quite far in the mountainous areas and we were unfamiliar with the topography of that region. We often walked for several hours. My sister-in-law was suffering from hip, leg, and back problems. When I asked her if she was okay, she simply answered, "It is okay. I am not afraid of the pain." I was very moved. I applauded her strength. She was already over 60 years old. When we arrived at her home, it was around 4 o'clock in the morning.
To be responsible for my own safety and the Fa, I left before sunrise and walked about 9 miles to wait for a bus. Halfway, my legs, hips and feet could no longer bear the pain. I kept walking forward, reciting Teacher's Fa. Walking with a limp, at around seven o'clock, a bus passed me from behind. The bus could take me directly to the bus stop. However, I could not take the ride because someone might recognize me. Therefore, I kept walking. Then a tricycle drove by and the driver looked at me. I waved him down. He stopped and took me for a distance. After I got off, I walked a little bit more and reached the transfer station. When I sat down, I took off my shoes and socks. My feet were covered with bloody blisters, especially my big toes. Only then did I start to feel the pain. However, my heart was filled with joy!
Today, I hope to encourage those fellow practitioners who have not stepped forward to fulfill their historic vows.
