(Clearwisdom.net) I am a middle school senior one student who began Fa study six years ago. Since then I have resolutely traveled on the Fa-rectification path, according to Master and Dafa's requirements. I keep in mind the three things that Master requests us to do all the time and measure my daily words and deeds against Dafa. It is just as Master said:
"Let each and every thing
be measured against the Fa.Only then, with that,
is it actually cultivation."("Solid Cultivation" from Hong Yin)
Today I am writing out of some of my understandings to share with fellow practitioners.
1. Study the Fa well; solidly cultivate "xinxing"
Master said,
"As a student, if his mind is filled with nothing but Dafa, this person is definitely a genuine cultivator. So you must have a clear understanding on the matter of studying the Fa. Reading the books more and studying the books more is the key to truly elevating yourself." ("Melt Into the Fa," from Essentials for Further Advancement)
Master told us in his books and speeches from different periods to read the books and study the Fa more. Over the past few years I have always disciplined myself to study the Fa every day and have properly dealt with the relationship between everyday people's study and Fa study. I have studied my classwork, but I have made the best use of the time to read Zhuan Falun or Master's recent writings and speeches. Sometimes I listen to one of Master's lectures, but I primarily read the Fa.
I listened to one of Master's lectures once before I went to sleep. However, I unexpectedly fell asleep. When I woke up I heard Master's voice lecturing in my earphones. Master was saying,
"In fact, he has obtained nothing." Hearing this, I realized that I did not show respect to Master and Dafa, which deeply saddened me. As we know, even in our daily middle school classes we should not fall asleep. From then on, every time I recalled this benevolent hint from Master, I felt extremely ashamed. Master taught us, "However, you should not fall asleep or lose consciousness, otherwise good things might be practiced by someone else." ("Lecture Eight" in Zhuan Falun)
I know that Falun Dafa cultivates one's main consciousness, so whatever we do, we should have our own righteous thoughts; our main consciousness should preside over everything of ours at all times. When I slack off, Master gives me hints in time and makes me understand that if we want to study the Fa well and truly understand the Fa's principles at different levels, we should not only study the Fa more, but also study the Fa with a respectful and pure heart. It is just as Master said, "Don't just go through the motions when you study the Fa. You should study with a concentrated mind, and you must really be studying." ("To the Australia Fa Conference")
Once I was concentrating on my homework in our class when a classmate suddenly rushed at me from behind. Without any warning, my head hit the desk squarely. Many classmates heard the sound of my head hitting the desk and were startled. After being given simple first aid, I went home. My father often traveled on business and was not at home. After carefully examining my injury, my mother was very upset, full of tears that fell on me. She wanted to go to the school to find out about the incident. I said, "Don't do that. The classmate who injured me did this unintentionally. Besides, I was barely scratched." The next day I went to school as usual.
Master said, "But normally when a problem arises, if it does not irritate a person psychologically, it does not count or is useless and cannot make him or her improve." ("Lecture Four" in Zhuan Falun) I initially thought that this incident had passed, but after I went to school several classmates surrounded me. They were upset and told me that the classmate who had attacked me had done so intentionally, and they could attest to it. In addition, they told me that his family had a good relationship with the teacher in charge. At that moment I was upset and could not control my emotions. After I calmed down I remembered what Master taught us, "If you compete and fight like an ordinary person, you are an ordinary person. If you outdo him, you are even worse than that ordinary person." ("Lecture Four" in Zhuan Falun)
I began to calm down and become steady.
Recalling the Fa that Master taught us, my anger and resentment gradually disappeared, and my mind was full of serenity and compassion. It is just as Master said,
"As long as you study the Fa earnestly, you can overcome any difficulty. As long as you study the Fa earnestly, answers found within the Fa can solve any hard-to-untie knots in your heart, or any hang-ups." ("Lecture at the First Conference in North America")
2. Melt into the Fa; do the three things diligently
In early 2005, in order to explain the facts and to rescue sentient beings better and have printing sites spring up everywhere and blossom all over, at my suggestion, my mother and I bought a printer. We had another powerful Fa-implement to rescue sentient beings. We then had only a copy of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, the electronic edition, and it was not suitable for direct printing. In addition, we failed to find a place to download and had to rearrange it. My mother had scant computer knowledge. Luckily, I had learned certain computer skills in school and became the technician in my family.
I realized that everything had come for the Fa and are to be used for the Fa. My mother and I did not depend on anyone and overcame many difficulties to familiarize ourselves with editing and page setup. In the end, we finished the print edition of the Nine Commentaries and clearly printed our first copy. We were filled with excitement when we saw the first printed booklet we had made. Later on we produced the first Nine Commentaries CD, the first "Minghui Weekly" and a truth-clarifying booklet.
With righteous thoughts and awareness of our responsibility for rescuing sentient beings, we soon after installed broadband Internet. We uploaded, downloaded, printed, and copied CDs. We became experts at doing these things. Our small printing site grew from a "flower bud" into a "blossom." Little by little, our materials production site worked better. Our technical expertise improved greatly, and the things we made became more refined. Even the content became richer. The first article my mother and I wrote, disclosing the persecution, was sent to and published on the Minghui/Clearwisdom website.
During this process, I became aware of Master's many benevolent acts of protection and his hints. Something made the deepest impression on me. It happened as I was making the the Nine Commentaries booklet and printed a page. I got a paper jam, and the printer stopped working, which had rarely happened. When I tried once more, even the paper edge was torn and the printer stopped working. I was really anxious. Examining the materials, I found that the sequence for this page number was wrong, and it was not a mechanical printer failure. I corrected the page number and tried again, and the printer worked normally. Our benevolent Master is by our side and watches over us. I realized that Fa-validating is indeed the process of continuously correcting ourselves and growing in the Fa.
In the process of explaining the facts, persuading people to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), and rescuing sentient beings, many well-reasoned and efficient methods published on Minghui Weekly gave me lots of hints. Whether clarifying the facts face to face or writing letters, distributing truth-clarification printing paper, CDs and fliers--I had done all the things that I should do clearheadedly and with wisdom. Some printing sites were short on finances and truth-clarification materials, which severely affected rescuing sentient beings and validating the Fa. Therefore, I took out my New Year gift, a deposit of 3,000 yuan--to make truth-clarification materials.
3. Disclose the lies, spread the truth of the universe
Master said,
"The wicked CCP is not only systematically and deliberately sabotaging all of this, but also systematically and deliberately instilling people with the wicked culture of the Party. It calls it 'educating people' and 'reforming people'--they put it in unambiguous terms--and it makes you change even your worldview, a change that leads you to follow the conduct, ways of thinking, and mindset created by the wicked CCP. When Chinese people look at things with the worldview instilled by the wicked Party, it is truly hard for them, having been 'reformed in this manner, to tell right from wrong or good from evil in the human world, or for them to recognize the Fa or the Truth." ("Fa Teaching at the 2007 New York Fa Conference")
Schools in China are the front lines where the distorted Party culture is spread. They are also heavy disaster areas, where people's minds have been deeply poisoned. When I explained the facts to my classmates, I normally used the example of the staged "Tiananmen Square Self-immolation" incident as an illustration, because the Party spread the lies in its textbooks. I often took the opportunity to enumerate the doubtful points in the staged "Tiananmen Square Immolation." I also emphasized the situation regarding "Liu Siying," because the Party covered the "Tiananmen Square Self-immolation" in the textbooks. In order to confuse people and slander Dafa, the wicked Party took advantage of Liu Siying's student status to incite and poison the minds of young people.
4. Have righteous thoughts and actions, cherish the opportunity to save sentient beings
In an instant, it seemed, the middle school entrance examination approached. While preparing for the examination, I still did the three things well. Master said,
"The closer it gets to the end, the more you cannot let up; the closer it gets to the end, the better you must study the Fa; the closer it gets to the end, the stronger your righteous thoughts must be." ("To the Canada Fa Conference" 2007)
During a campus meeting, the majority of my classmates did not slander Master and Dafa in their speeches. I understand that sentient beings' compassionate nature has a side that knows. Midway through the meeting, though, a classmate made a speech and said things that were irreverent toward Master and Dafa. It was my responsibility as a Dafa disciple to stop his slander and for me to safeguard Dafa. By doing so, I would rescue him and prevent him from creating immense karma for slandering the Buddha Fa. I silently recited Master's Fa-rectification formula with a calm mind and sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil specter and rotten demons that were controlling him. When my righteous thoughts came out, he suddenly coughed and his voice became extremely high-pitched. In the end, he stepped down from the platform with embarrassment. An audible sigh suddenly had arisen from the audience, showing that Dafa disciple's pure righteous thoughts were truly powerful.
It rained one day during the middle school entrance exam. I had to take taxi to attend the exam. Just before I left my home, I took a CD copy of the Nine Commentaries and some booklets. My mother said, "The middle school entrance examination is a crucial thing. Do not let anything affect you taking the examination!" I replied, "Shouldn't we put the Fa first in whatever we do? Moreover, this will indeed not affect my examination." My mother agreed with me and said nothing more. Thus, this taxi driver had the opportunity to get a copy of precious truth-clarification material.
When the exam results were posted, it turned out that I could enter a prominent middle school. In fact, I was not attached to which middle school I could enter. Master said,
"For instance, in our ordinary human society, after birth one belongs to a certain family, a certain school, and upon growing up a certain workplace; various contacts in society are made through a person's job. That is, the layout of the entire society has been planned this way." ("Lecture Seven" in Zhuan Falun)
I came to understand that predestined relationships in different lifetimes lead to a specific family, a collective group of people. The involved predestined relationship is also to bring to an end any enmity or resentment. Master has certainly already arranged the Dafa cultivation paths for us, so we should travel our cultivation paths by assisting Master to rectify the Fa righteously and solidly. Wherever we are, we should keep our promises in mind, not lose sight of our mission, and rescue more sentient beings.
I am now a senior middle school student. This is a new environment. My lessons have increased and time has become tight. Nonetheless, each day after leaving school and arriving at home, I deal well with the relationship between Fa study and study in ordinary society. On the final leg of the cultivation path, in doing the three things, I remind myself at all times with Master's words, "Be sure not to become lax. You must not slack off, and you must not become apathetic." ("Teaching the Fa in the City of Los Angeles" 2006)
