It sentenced female practitioners to labor camp for one to three years without evidence of any crime. The guards at the Shanghai City Women's Forced Labor Camp have been mistreating practitioners detained there. The No. 5 Division is the so-called "Special Control Division," specifically in charge of persecuting practitioners. The guards, headed by Jiang Qiqiong (female), use all kinds of means to try to coerce practitioners to give up their belief in "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance."

Jiang Qiqiong specifically studied "psychology" in order to deceive practitioners with her evil "doctrine". In addition, she used other types of violence on practitioners, including forcing them to stand facing the wall, hanging them up in the air, confining them in solitary cells, depriving them of food and sleep, as well as verbal abuse.

Falun Gong practitioners are detained on the fifth floor of the No. 5 Division. In the labor camp, this is the only floor that has confinement cells. Also, every cell on the fifth floor is installed with monitoring equipment. Currently, practitioners are detained in solitary cells. The guards also use more covert tactics by manipulating "transformed" practitioners and inmates to try to coerce practitioners to renounce Dafa.

Practitioner Ms. Yan Meizhen was forced to stand for several months because she remained steadfast in her beliefs. As a result, both of her feet became so swollen that she could not put her shoes on.

Practitioner Ms. Lu Meiying was detained several times in a cell that was less than three square meters in size. Beginning before 5:00 a.m. each morning, she was forced to stand or sit for extended periods of time. It wasn't until 11:00 p.m. that she could briefly wash up and take a rest. Also, Ms. Lu was forced to stand for the whole day several times. The "evaluation meetings" are very adversarial and practitioners are publicly humiliated and harshly criticized.

The authorities at the Shanghai City Women's Forced Labor Camp habitually take advantage of the Chinese Communist Party's coercive methods to persecute practitioners. They frequently hang practitioners up in the air, force practitioners to stand, throw away food into the garbage heap to intentionally starve practitioners, deprive practitioners of sleep, and force practitioners to watch movies slandering Falun Gong. They constantly attempt to control practitioners' thoughts, words and actions by torturing their bodies.

The perpetrators will suffer karmic retribution for what they have done in the near future.
