Nancy and Barbara are both artists, and were deeply touched by the piece, "The Power of Awareness." They both wept during this performance. This piece depicted a young mother and daughter who were abused by the Chinese police for spreading the message of "Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance" in a park. The violence outraged people in the park, who rose as one to defend the mother and daughter from harm.
"My eyes were filled with tears. It was a very touching piece. I feel very fortunate as I am living in a free world. It also gave me strength to do what is right," Nancy said.
Ms. Liu came to watch the show with her father. She said that the show was very artistic and the costumes were outstanding. Her father said that the show successfully portrayed the inner connotations of Chinese culture. "The show used classical Chinese dance to portray ancient legends, which are very inspiring and precious to all of us," he said.
Mr. Yu Sheng-hsiung is president of the New England Taiwan Trade Association. He said that the show was fantastic and the performers highly trained. His favored piece was "The Fruits of Goodness," which depicted the boundless compassion of Buddhas.
Ellen is a consultant. She found it very difficult to summarize her feelings about the show. "The colors were incredible and all the pieces carried rational messages. I will recommend it to my clients. I can't decide which piece I like more because so far I have liked all of them. Every piece was very inspiring," Ellen told the reporter during the intermission.
Tony is a musician. He bought tickets in downtown Boston, where he and his girlfriend ran into a booth for the show. Tony said that he learned more about Chinese culture and stories from the show. They are also interested in the upcoming Chinese Spectacular in New York City and said that they would go with their friends.
