(Clearwisdom.net) When the curtain was raised up and a splendid, huge scene appeared in front of the full house, people gave the performers a round of warm and long applause. This was the debut of the Divine Performing Arts on Tour's Chinese New Year Spectacular show in the Masionnavue Theater at Place-Des-Arts, Montreal, Canada.
Mr. Zhenwen Li and his wife watched the 2008 Chinese New Year Spectacular. This was their second visit to NTDTV's annual Chinese New Year show
Mr. Zhenwen Li and his wife had watched New Tang Dynasty TV's Chinese New Year Spectacular last year and they came to the show again. Mr. Li accepted an interview during the intermission and said, "The performance is very, very good. It promotes tradition, and encourages people to be good and kind. It makes you feel that life is beautiful. It has the power to lift you up, a power that encourages one toward goodness."
"I liked the program about two young people that completely changed after Buddha was displayed to them in a temple. Kindness is powerful. It can change a person completely and uplift a person from his heart," Mr. Li said.
"I also liked that Tibetan dance, 'Snowy Mountain, White Lotus.' For fifty years the Communist Party has been suppressing Tibet all the time. I saw the Tibetan dance today. It was beautiful. It is part of our Chinese culture.
"And the 'Drummers of Tang Court'. Very bold and courageous.
"I really can't use words to describe my feelings. All the programs are good." Mr. Li said.
Mr. Li compared the show to that of last year. "The programs of last year were also good. Divine Performing Arts has different programs for different cultures. The culture of China is so rich and profound, you can't display all of them in one night. (The Divine Performing Arts) is a concentrated Chinese culture show that illustrates the good and outstanding content (of Chinese culture)."
Mr. Li said he knew that the Chinese Communist Party tried to interfere with the show, "The Chinese Communist Party is stupid, really stupid. It only showed people that it has failed again."
Mr. Li looked liked he still had a lot to say, even as the second session was about to start, "The performers are very good. The costume, lighting, performing art, background, everything is good."
