(Clearwisdom.net) This report includes 15 persecution cases of Falun Gong practitioners illegally detained at the No. 2 Prison in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. The information was received indirectly and has passed through many hands and places. Please note that some of the practitioners who had been illegally detained at the No. 2 Prison have since been transferred to other prisons.

1. Practitioner Mr. Wang Honglin

Mr. Wang Honglin, born September 12, 1952, was an employee at the Soil Removal Section of the Waitoushan Iron Ore Transportation Workshop of Benxi Iron and Steel Complex. He was sentenced to a 6-year prison term.

(1) Mid-November 2000: detained at a brainwashing center for 15 days.

(2) End December 2000: detained for 25 days and sentenced to two years of forced labor.

(3) Mid-December 2001: detained for 7 days. He was allowed to post bail and stay home and was allowed to obtain a guarantor and await trial out of custody for 3 months.

(4) On March 29, 2003, he was given a 12-day administrative detention, followed by a 6-month criminal detention.

(5) On September 11, 2003, he was held 25 days at the New Inmate Ward and then taken to the No. 4 Prison in Shenyang City.

(6) At the end of 2003, he was sentenced to a 6-year prison term. He is serving the term at the No. 2 Prison of Shenyang City

(7) At this time, Mr. He illegally detained at Neichuang No. 4 Ward, of the No. 2 Prison of Shenyang City

Main persecutors of Mr. Wang Honglin:

(1) Party Secretary Cong (surname) and Party secretary Wang (surname), employed by a branch of Benxi Iron and Steel Complex.

(2) Guan Hongying, Zhou Yanwei and Ji Yansong from Transportation Workshop.

(3) Division Head Ding, Zheng Tao, political Commissar Chen and Deputy Head Wu Gang of Benxi Forced Labor Camp.

(4) Policemen He,Yu, and Bian, Head of Tiekuangjie Police Station, Xihu District, Benxi City.

(5) Deputy Head of the Xihu District Police Sub-bureau Wang (surname).

(6) Head of the Political and Security Department of Benxi Iron and Steal Complex Zheng (surname).

(7) Head of the Security Office of Wuaitoushan Iron Ore Mine, Kang Ping and Deputy Head, Li (surname).

(8) Head of the No. 14 Ward, the provincial No. 2 Prison Li Chuang and Zhang Guo.

(9) Head of the Falun Gong Persecution Ward, Li Jianguo

2. Practitioner Mr. Liu Guichun

Mr. Liu Guichun, 32 years old, is from Liutun, Xiaoying Village, Guangmingshan Township, Zhuanghe City, Liaoning Province. In April 2000, he resigned from his job and traveled from Dalian City to Beijing to appeal for the right to practice Falun Gong. Police arrested him at the train station and illegally detained him at the Pingshan Township Police Station in Zhuanghe City for 15 days. When the detention time limit expired the township police extorted money from his family and claimed that it was a deposit (the actual amount is not known).

In June 2000 Mr. Liu Guichun went to Beijing again to appeal for justice for Falun Gong. He was beaten by police officers at Tiananmen Square and then arrested. He was taken to a detention center on the northern outskirts of Beijing where he was again cruelly beaten. Several days later, Mr. Liu was taken to Dalian Drug Rehabilitation Center for detention. After extorting hundreds of yuan from his family, staff from the Drug Rehabilitation Center took Mr. Liu to the Zhuanghe Detention Center. He was detained in the No. 13 cell. The person in charge was called Yang. Authorities from the local government and the police station ransacked Mr. Liu's home, threatened his family and extorted money. As the family had no money, the decadent officials began to catalog the property, such as the quantity of grain on the property, the number of livestock and other properties. They threatened to confiscate all they had recorded.

The guards ordered the inmates to beat Mr. Liu inhumanly. His vocal cords were injured, his left arm crippled and his buttocks and back covered with cuts and bruises. Furthermore, his face was swollen and he suffered nose-bleeds daily. After about a month, sometime in August 2000, Mr. Liu was transferred to Dalian City Forced Labor Camp. He was forced to perform extremely heavy manual labor in an effort to make him renounce Falun Dafa. After the forced labor term expired he was sentenced to several months of detention. He was released in November 2001. After returning home the local police officers came to his home to harass and intimidate him. Mr. Liu's mother was so distraught that she lost consciousness. In the spring of 2002 they harassed him again. The head of the police station was Liu Jie.

On April 27, 2002, Mr. Liu was arrested and tortured by police from the Longwangmiao Police Station, Jinzhou District, Dalian City. He was hung up and at the same time they hung a heavy water kettle from his neck. Around 5 to 6 policemen and the head of the police station were involved in the torture of Mr. Liu. Their names are not known at this time. In the evening of April 28, Mr. Liu was taken to Jinzhou Detention Center. The officer in charge of registration confiscated several hundred yuan Mr. Liu carried on him and divided the money amongst the policemen. During his detention Mr. Liu was force-fed and his weight dropped to less than 50kg (110 lbs). The Jinzhou District Procuratorate ruled that Mr. Liu could return home until the trial date if he posted bail. However, his family did not have the funds to post bail. Therefore, Mr. Liu was not released. In November 2002, the Jinzhu District Court sentenced him to a 7-year prison term. Mr. Liu hid 1,000 yuan in a rice bag, which was confiscated. The public prosecutor responsible for Mr. Liu's case was Wang Fang, female, 33 years old.

In December 2002, Mr. Liu was tortured at the No. 2 Prison, Shenyang City. He was confined in a solitary confinement cell. He was forced to do slave labor, suffered forced feeding and body searches. He was not allowed to speak or do the Falun Gong exercises. The prison guards also ordered inmates to humiliate and threaten practitioners. Guards torturing practitioners included the Head of the prison hospital Li Jianguo and Prison Political Department guard Yu Sheng. Mr. Liu Guichun is being held at the No. 1 Ward of the prison's printing factory. The guard in charge is Zhang Lei, male, 26 years old.

3. Practitioner Mr. Bai Rongchun

Practitioner Mr. Bai Rongchun, 34 years old, is a computer-network engineer. On May 17, 2001, police officers from the Fengtai Police Sub-department of Beijing City arrested him for printing Falun Dafa truth-clarification material. He was detained at Fengtai Detention Center. The police from the station's sub-division transferred him to a brainwashing center. Since Mr. Bai refused to renounce Falun Dafa he was beaten barbarically, and suffered sleep deprivation and starvation.

In August 2001, Mr. Bai was first transferred to a detention center in Beijing and then a brainwashing center run by the Beijing City "Law Education" Center (brainwashing center). In July 2002, the Haidian District Court, Beijing in City sentenced him to a 13-year prison term. In November 2002, he was transferred to the No. 2 Prison of Shenyang City where he is currently being held in the Xiangjiao No. 1 Ward.

4. Practitioner Zhao Jiyuan

Practitioner Mr. Zhao Jiyuan, 54 years old, is an employee at the No. 4 Construction Company in Shenyang city. On February 27, 2001, police from the Zhulin Police Station, Dongdong District, Shenyang City arrested him for hanging banners and distributing truth-clarification materials. On February 10, 2002, the Heping District Court in Shenyang City sentenced him to a 7-year prison term, to be served at the No. 2 Prison in Shenyang City. He is now at the Xiangjiao No. 1 Ward. So far, he was confined in the "strictly controlled" group five times.

(1) In March 2002, he was confined in a strictly controlled group for 23 days for practicing the Falun Gong exercises.

(2) From July 1, 2003 to September 1, 2003 he was under strict control for 62 days for asking for the return of the Falun Dafa articles confiscated by the prison guards.

(3) From June 1, to June 15, 2006 he was again under strict control for 15 days for refusing to wear the prison uniform.

(4) From January 1 to January 15, 2007, Mr. Zhao was under strict control for 15 days for practicing the exercises.

(5) From January 25 to February 8, 2007, he was confined in the strictly controlled group for 15 days for practicing the exercises.

(6) Now he is detained at the Xiangjiao No. 1 Ward.

5. Practitioner Mr. Wang Tao

Practitioner Mr. Wang Tao, 30 years old, is from the Zhongshan District, Dalian City. Before his imprisonment, he was an employee at the Dalian branch of the China Galaxy Securities Company Limited.

(1) On July 2, 2001, police from the Beijing City National Security Division (Xin Zhong, head of the division) and the Daxing District Police Department arrested him for distributing truth-clarification CDs and fliers.

(2) On July 3, he was taken to the Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp.

(3) In February 2002, he was transferred to Fengtai Detention Center.

(4) In April, staff from the Fengtai District Procuratorate filed a lawsuit against Mr. Wang.

(5) In June, the Fengtai District Court (Presiding Judge was Wang Wei) sentenced him to a 9-year prison term.

(6) In December 2002, Mr. Wang Tao was transferred from Fengtai Detention Center to the Beijing City Non-local Dispatching Center. He was then taken to the New Inmate Ward of Jinzhou Prison.

(7) On December 21 he was transferred to the No. 8 Ward of No. 4 Prison in Shenyang City.

(8) In 2003 the No. 4 Prison merged with the No. 2 Prison. Now, he is held at the Neichuang No. 1 Ward (No. 14 Ward).

(9) In December 2003, Mr. Wang Tao was confined in a solitary confinement cell for 56 days for refusing to do slave labor.

(10) In June, 2004, Mr. Wang was forced to stand still facing the wall for a long period of time again for refusing to do slave labor. He would be forced to stand for nearly 12 hours a day and more 20 days in a row. After that Mr. Wang went on a hunger strike for 10 days.

(11) In December 2004, he was badly beaten in the face by inmate Wu Daming for practicing the exercises.

(12) In March and June 2006, and October 2007, Mr. Wang went on a hunger strike to protest the rule "If you want to have family visits, you have to skip your meals," or "If you failed to answer roll call you would lose family visit privileges."

The main perpetrators in the persecution and those torturing practitioners are guard Yu Sheng from the Prison Political Department and guard Wu Tianliang from the reception room.

6. Practitioner Mr. Hao Xiangjun

Practitioner Mr. Hao Xiangjun, born on May 29, 1955, began to practice Falun Dafa in 1999. In October 2000, he went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong. Police from the Tiananmen Square Police Station arrested and detained him for 24 hours, where he suffered torture. They slapped his face and swore at him. He was released when the authorities realized that he could not be "reformed". In October 2002, criminal police from the Xinfu District, Fushun City arrested Mr. Hao for producing truth-clarification materials. He was sentenced to a 6-year prison term. Staff from the Huashan Company in Fushun City tortured him brutally. He was handcuffed to an iron bar after his clothes were taken off. Then they poured cold water over him, slapped his face and cuffed him to an iron chair for as long as 12 hours. During his detention at Xiao Bailou in Fushun City he suffered scabies all over his body. He was then transferred to the No. 2 Prison in Shenyang and is now detained at Neichuang No. 3 Ward.

Mr. Hao Xiangjun' wife, Ms. Zhou Chunying is also a practitioner and was imprisoned for two months in 2002. She suffered a mental collapse and passed away in December 2002. Mr. Hao's family was broken apart because of the CCP minions' persecution.

7. Practitioner Mr. Hu Guojian

Practitioner Mr. Hu Guojian, 38 years old, was a worker at Fushun Miner's Lamp Factory. He lived at Jiangjun Street, Shuncheng District, Fushun City.

On December 16, 2000, Mr. Hu was arrested and sentenced to a 10-year prison term. Police at the Jiangjun Street Police Station shocked him with electric batons and other torture, including beating and kicking him, on the day of his arrest.

Mr. Hu was taken to a prison on November 15, 2001. He was confined in a solitary confinement cell twice and went on hunger strike 4 times. He is currently detained at the Neichuang No. 4 Ward.

8. Practitioner Mr. Song Wenliang

Mr. Song Wenlian was a farmer from Majin Village, Huiyuan Township, Shuncheng District, Fushun City. He was arrested on October 10, 2002 and sentenced to a 6-year prison term. On the day of his arrest, police at the Fumin Police Station shocked him with electric batons, pricked him with pins and punched and kicked him all night long. He is now held at the Neichuang No. 4 Ward.

9. Practitioner Mr. Huang Xiaojie

Practitioner Mr. Huang Xiaojie is from Zhizushan Township, Fuxin County, Laioning Province. In 1999, he went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong. On his return, local police hit him more than 80 times with rubber batons, and punched and kicked him many times. He was bedridden for more than 2 weeks. The police also took him to a local brainwashing center twice and extorted 500 yuan from him.

On September 20, 2001, police arrested Mr. Huang again. He was able to walk upright out of the police station. When the police rearrested him, security guard Ao Honghai shot at him several times. His right fibula suffered a commuted fracture. The police confiscated two cell phones, one BP pager and several hundred yuan. In June 2002, the local court sentenced him to an 8-year prison term to be served in the Logistics Ward.

10. Practitioner Mr. Jiang Dexin

Practitioner Mr. Jiang Dexin is from Henren County. Police from the county police station arrested him in 2000. He was sentenced to an 8-year prison term. He is still imprisoned at the Xiangjiao No. 7 Ward of the Shenyang No. 2 Prison.

11. Practitioner Mr. Zhang Peng

Mr. Zhang Pengyou, 34 years old, was self-employed before his imprisonment. He was arrested for handing out truth-clarification materials. He was detained from June to August 2001 at the Anshan City Detention Center. On August 15, 2002, police from the Liaoyang City Police Station arrested him for downloading truth-clarification materials from the Internet and making fliers. He was transferred to the Shoushan Township Detention Center. Mr. Zhang was beaten by inmates and a prison guard with the surname of Sun because he refused to obey inmates, demanded his right to practice the Falun Gong exercises and refused to comply when ordered to say slanderous things about Falun Dafa. He was put in shackles. The Liaoyang County Court sentenced Mr. Zhang Peng to a 7-year prison term. He tried to appeal his sentence, which was denied.

Mr. Zhang Peng was held at the Yingkou New Inmate Ward from August to September 2002. Inmates beat him for refusing to recite the prison rules and regulations. He and practitioner Mr. Xu Zhengqiang were taken to the Dongling Prison in Shenyang City and then transferred to Shenyang No. 4 Prison three days later. The inmates beat his face for doing the sitting meditation. After Sheyang No. 4 Prison merged into Sheyang No. 2 Prison, Mr. Zhang was held at the No. 14 Ward. On December 9, 2003 he was beaten by inmates and forced to sit on a small stool. In March 2004, he was confined in a strictly controlled group for 15 days when he was caught hand-copying Teacher Li's recent articles. In 2007, during his detention at Neichuang No. 5 Ward, he was confined under strict control for 15 days because he refused to be body searched. He was trying to prevent his Falun Dafa books from being confiscated. He went on a hunger strike for 7 days in protest of his detention and torture.

On June 13, 2007, Division Chief Meng Qinggang and his men ransacked the cells and carried out body searches. Mr. Zhang refused the illegal body search. Meng Qinggang ordered several prison guards to force him to the ground and drag him around. His clothing was torn and his arm and eyes were injured. The prison guards sat on top of Mr. Zhang and pressed his head down in an effort to seize the book Zhuan Falun from Mr. Zhang. Afterwards, Mr. Zhang was confined under strict control.

12. Practitioner Mr. Li Yanzeng

Forty-seven-year old Li Yanzeng lived at 69/7332 Nanguan Road, Shenhe District, Shenyang City. He was an employee of Zhongda Department Store and Shenhe District Catering Company.

Mr. Li was arrested on July 1, 2001 and Dongling District Procuratorate took him to court. The district court sentenced him to a 9-year prison term. They handcuffed him from behind and then hung him up. They also slapped his face. The person responsible for his case was from the Shenyang City Political and Judiciary Commission.

During his detention at Dongling Detention Center guards slapped his face more than ten times and whipped him with a rubber tube more than 20 times. He was forced to wear shackles for more than two months.

On January 15, 2002, Mr. Li was taken to the No. 12 Ward, Shenyang No. 2 Prison.

In October 2002, he was confined in a solitary confinement cell for 17 days for not cooperating with the prison guards.

In February 2003, he was confined in a solitary confinement cell for 83 days for doing the sitting meditation. The inmates divided into three shifts and watched him around the clock. They punched and kicked Mr. Li whenever he began to practice the exercises or clarified the truth. They slapped his face and head with a shoe sole, and poured cold water and hot water over him. He had blisters on his feet. They pulled him into different directions with iron trains for three hours. Guard Wu Jun shocked Mr. Li with an electric baton.

Guards and others who commit torture from the No. 12 Ward are: Division Chief Li Jianguo, Political Instructor Li Xiangdong, and Team Leaders Wang Shihai, Li Zheng, Zhang Lei and Zhang Jiabing.

Inmates: Chen Jiurong, Jiang Yunfu, Jia Mingshi, Liu Tao, Han Zengyu, Zhang Yalin, Li Yin, Tian Chaohui, Wang Fayong, Mao Desheng, Wang Deshan and Zhao Chenghui

Guards from the solitary confinement cell: Qiu Jian and Wu Jian

Inmates: Song Chunyang, Wang Cailiang, Yu Bing, He Zhngtao, Wang Jun, Liu Xinxue, Tan Qiang, Wang Fu, Wang Yucheng

13. Practitioner Mr. Li Shujun

Practitioner Mr. Li Shujun, 50 years old, was an employee at the Sanatorium of the China Railway Construction Company, Xingcheng City, Liaoning Province. He is currently detained at the No. 28 Ward (Neichuang No. 5 Ward) of the No. 2 Prison.

On July 20, 1999, when the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began to persecute Falun Dafa, Mr. Li Shujun Went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong. He was arrested and detained for 15 days. The police extorted 4,000 yuan from his family.

On June 10, 2006, Mr. Li Shujun went to Beijing to hold up banners at Tiananmen Square. He was arrested and sentenced to 2 years of forced labor.

In January 2002 the police tried to arrest Mr. Li Shujun. He the became homeless to avoid persecution.

On September 28, 2002 Mr. Li Shunjun was arrested once again and sentenced to a 7-year prison term.

14. Practitioner Mr. Ma Ronghua

Practitioner Mr. Ma Ronghua, 51 years old, was from Zhujia Township, Dongling District, Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. On April 22, 2003, he was at practitioner Bei Lanbo's home preparing to print banners. They were reported and police from Quanyuan Police Station, Dongling District arrested them. During his detention at Quanyuan Police Station a policeman with the surname Wang, several policemen from the National Security Division, the Head of the local 610 Office with the surname of Pan and detective Bai Zikui beat Mr. Ma cruelly and confiscated his public transportation card. The card still had a credit of 2,000 yuan. They did not make a record of this. On the following day police from Wulihe Police Station, National Security Division, the Head of the 610 Office Pan covered Mr. Ma's eyes and took him to a basement where he was cruelly beaten. Then, he was taken to the Dongling District Detention Center.

Mr. Ma had two houses, one in the countryside and one in the city. Police from the Quanyuan Police Station, Shenhe District and Wulihe Police Stations, National Security Division and Head of the 610 Office Pan ransacked Mr. Ma's two houses many times. When Mr. Ma's wife was shopping at Dongbei Daily Necessities Market she was intimidated and harassed by police Zheng Yongshan from the Shenhe District Police Station.

In July 2003, Mr. Ma's son Mr. Ma Xinyu took a university entrance exam. Under the direction of CCP authorities, the education administration did not allow him to apply for the key or prestigious universities. The Beijing Civil Aviation Administration Bureau employed him after graduation, but the CCP had him fired.

Mr. Ma Ronghua was sentenced to a 10-year prison term and detained at Shenyang No. 2 Prison. Mr. Ma's mother, over 80 years old, tried to visit him, but guards Li Jianguo and Zhu Hongsheng denied them visiting rights. Mr. Ma is currently detained at the Neichuang No. 3 Ward.

15. Practitioner Mr. Sun Yongsheng

Practitioner Mr. Sun Yongsheng, 35 years old, lived at Wanghua District, Fushun City before his imprisonment. He was employed at the Fushun Organic Chemical Plant. He learned Falun Dafa in 1997. After the CCP began to persecute Falun Dafa in July 1999 Mr. Sun went to Tiananmen Square in Beijing to hold up a banner and practice the exercises at the end of October 1999. He was arrested and taken back to Fushun City. After 15 days of detention his work place officials brought him back and illegally detained him at the work place.

On December 16, 2000, Mr. Sun was arrested while attending an experience-sharing conference. Staff from the city's Political and Judiciary Commission and the 610 Office sentenced him to 2 years of forced labor. He was detained at the Wujiabao Forced Labor Camp. Head of the forced labor camp Huang Wei, Division Chief Wu Wei and Section Head Jiang Yongfeng ordered inmate Zhao Sheng and others to beat Mr. Sun in an effort to force Mr. Sun to renounce Falun Dafa.

In October 2002, police Sun Yongshen, Guan Yong and police from No. Section of Fushun Police Station arrested Mr. Sun while walking on the street. His cell phone, BP pager, cash, cell phone card and some other items were confiscated and no receipt was given. They handcuffed Mr. Sun in a position known as "carrying a sword in the back" (1) and shackled one of his legs to the pipes of the central heating system. They forced Mr. Sun to split his legs and then punched the top most end of the thigh. The torture lasted for several hours and Mr. Sun thighs turned black and blue and became swollen. Practitioners do not drink or smoke, however the prison guards forced Mr. Sun to smoke and forced liquor or beer down his throat.

In May 2003, staff from the Xinfu District Court sentenced Mr. Sun to an 8-year prison term. In August 2003, he was detained at the No. 12 Ward of Shenyang No. 2 Prison.

When Mr. Sun's parents went to visit him, Division Chief Li Jiang and guard Zhang Lei ordered them to say slanderous things about Falun Dafa. His parents refused. Therefore, the guards deprived them of their right to visit their son for several months. Afterwards when family visits resumed, Li Jianguo made sure that a prison guard monitored their conversation and then he dispatched two guards to follow them and recorded their conversation with a MP3 recorder. Li Jianguo monitored the recording. He stopped the visit at random. Li also ordered inmates Chen Jiurong, Jiang Yuanfu, Wang Chunyang Mao Desheng, Wang Hongyong, Zhao Chenghui, Han Zengyu, Zhang Yali and Zhang Wende to watch the practitioners. They forbid the practitioners to practice the exercises or talk to each other, and they would swear at or beat practitioners who did these things.

In March 2005, Mr. Sun refused to do slave labor. Therefore, he was put under strict control. He went on a hunger strike for 12 days to protest his torture and detention and had to be rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment. Mr. Sun Yongsheng is detained at the Xiangjiao No. 6 Ward.

Note:

(1) "Carrying a sword in the back:" The practitioner's hands are tied behind his back with one hand over the shoulder and the other hand against the lower back. The police then apply a great deal of force to pull the two hands toward one another and handcuff the hands together.
