(Clearwisdom.net) Hefei City Women's Forced Labor Camp in Anhui Province is still persecuting Falun Gong practitioners inhumanly. Below are the persecution cases of several practitioners I know.
Ms. Shi Changying, 57 years old, is a resident of Feidong County, Hefei City. In May 2006 she was illegally arrested and sent to Hefei City Women's Forced Labor Camp. She resisted the persecution and went on a hunger strike to protest. Every day the camp guards would order three inmates to push her down on the cement floor and then they had a "transformed" person named Zhang Junru force-feed her. Zhang Junru was given orders by a camp guard named Zhou Mingfeng. Zhang would use the forced-feeding procedure to torture Shi Changying both mentally and physically, eventually causing her to become extremely weak and unable to walk. On December 6, 2006 when the camp held a meeting, Shi Changying was carried in to the meeting room by two persons. She shouted, "Falun Dafa is good" during the meeting, and was locked in solitary confinement for a week. Later, she became blind due to the torture and was released after a month.
Ms. Cheng Min, 56 years years old, is a resident of Jieshou County, Anhui Province. In September 2005 she was detained in the forced labor camp. She refused to give up her practice of Falun Gong and shouted "Falun Dafa is good," and as a result, she suffered severe persecution. The camp guards instigated inmates to lock Ms. Cheng up in a dark and sealed room, tie her to a water pipe, seal her mouth with tape and torture her there day and night. The "transformed" person, Zhang Junru, beat her several times in a storage room causing severe injury to her mouth so that she could not eat. The prisoners frequently punished her by forcing her to stand for a whole night. At first Ms. Cheng was detained by the Second Team that was set up to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. Later, she was transferred to a special team assigned to hold drug addicts, where she suffered more severe persecution. Her initial forced labor term was two years but it was prolonged illegally. Whether Ms. Cheng has been released now or not is still unknown.
Wang Ping, 30 years old, was locked up in solitary confinement for over a year for refusing to give up her practice of Falun Gong. The inmates tortured her day and night, deprived her of sleep almost every night, and beat her frequently. Sometimes she could not endure the torture and would shout, "Falun Dafa is good." Although tortured and beaten savagely, she still keep shouting the words. Later, Ms. Wang was transferred to the team specially designed to detain drug addicts and was tortured more severely. During her last few days in the labor camp she was pushed almost to the edge of a mental breakdown. Only then was she released.
Liu Yun, in her 40's, was detained in September 2005. She was tortured for not giving up her practice of Falun Gong and was allowed to sleep for only 3 hours a day. She was also locked up in solitary confinement for over half a year. The camp guards later transferred Ms. Liu to the Second Unit's "Strictly Disciplined" team, and tortured her even more severely. Every day she was forced to carry heavy loads of goods for at least 16 hours. Yet at night she was deprived of sleep and was forced to write "thoughts reports." She was not given any meat in her meals and was frequently beaten and verbally abused. At the beginning of her confinement, Ms. Liu was healthy and full-figured. After over a year's detention in the labor camp, she had become emaciated. She often felt faint and had to lie sick in bed several times. During the times when she was sick, she could not do heavy manual labor. However the camp guards still tried to coerce Ms. Liu into writing the so-called three statements to make her give up her practice of Falun Gong. After two years of forced labor, her term was prolonged.
