(Clearwisdom.net) In 2004 I was convicted of disorderly conduct as a result of being under the influence of alcohol and was sentenced to two years of forced-labor. On September 25, 2004, I was taken to Suihua Forced Labor Camp in Heilongjiang Province.
On March 17, 2006, I was assigned to the Second Group. I felt wronged. Long Kuibin, head of the group, had a talk with me and told me that I was the squadron leader of the Second Group, which was a "(persecuting) Falun Gong Group," and that I would be in charge of watching Falun Gong practitioners. He said that this assignment could earn me a reduced sentence. I believed him, and that same day, I picked up a group of 15 practitioners from Hegang. Half of them, including Sun Dechang and Shen Wejiang, were put in my squadron, the Second Squadron in the Second Group.
During the security check, I found three printed copies Lectures Four, Five, and Six of Zhuan Falun. I turned them in to the group leader. Then I started to spray these practitioners with a hose. Diao Xuesong, the assistant group leader, told me to be violent with Shen Weijiang, and I battered Shen without thinking.
On March 25, I took charge of another group of practitioners from Daqing City I took full charge of Mr. Li Yequan, a practitioner who held a hunger strike and was labeled for stricter management. I treated him very badly. I battered and vituperated him. I remember that on April 25, Diao Xuesong, the assistant group leader, came to the strict management team and asked Mr. Li Yequan, "Do you know what day today is?" Mr. Li said no. Diao Xuesong said that it was April 25, the day when Falun Gong practitioners went to Beijing to appeal. When Mr. Li replied that the persecution was unjust, Diao immediately slapped him 21 times and struck him twice with his fist. Before leaving, Diao told Mr. Li to think it over.
A day later, Chen Xinlong, leader of the First Squadron in the Second Group, also came to the strict management team and asked Li Yequang what day yesterday was. Mr. Li did not answer and was beaten again.
After a few days, Gao Zhonghai, director of the Second Group, came to the strict management team and asked Li Yequan whether he would stop his hunger strike. Mr. Li said "I will if you release me. Otherwise I will not." Gao Zhonghai left. In less than ten minutes, Gao Zhonghai returned with an electric baton and shocked Mr. Li's feet for a long time. Zeng Lingjun, leader of the First Squadron, also burned Li Yequan's left middle finger with a lit cigarette. After these brutes had had enough of shocking and burning, they called Dr. Wang and the head of the camp clinic to examine Mr. Li. The medical personnel claimed that Li Yequan was fine. Li Yequan continued his hunger strike in protest. On July 12, the forced labor camp administrators secretly asked Li Yequan's family to take him home. Mr. Li Yequan was released unconditionally.
In Suihua Forced Labor Camp, I witnessed the entire procedure by which Falun Gong practitioners were tortured by guards and criminal inmates who didn't understand the truth. I also assaulted and verbally abused practitioners Shen Weijiang, Li Yequan, and others. Out of ignorance, I committed crimes against Dafa and participated in persecuting practitioners. Now I want to do something to make up for these crimes and to expose the real inside facts of the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in the evil Suihua Forced Labor Camp.
In my interactions with Falun Gong practitioners, they impressed me greatly. I felt that they were all good and innocent people, unjustly persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party. In the beginning, I did not believe that the widely publicized "Tiananmen Self Immolation" was a Party hoax staged against Falun Gong. Later in the camp, as I watched the videos used to try to "transform" practitioners, I realized that the "Tiananmen Self Immolation" was faked--it was acted out as if on a stage. I remember that on July 10, 2006, Ma Dacheng, a criminal inmate from Lanxi, tortured practitioner Zhang Zhilin. Practitioners in all the dorms stepped out to condemn the torture. Ma Dacheng's accomplice, criminal inmate Li Qiang, also beat Zhang Zhilin. Afterwards, most of the practitioners stepped forward and demanded that Ma Dacheng be brought to justice.
Before that, Ma Dacheng had already bribed Long Kuibin, a head of the group; Diao Xuesong, the assistant leader of the squadron; Zheng Youliang, a head of the group; Director Gao Zhonghai; and others. Later, the group and the squadron perfunctorily penalized Ma Dacheng, even though Ma continued to work for the group and the squadron by persecuting Falun Gong practitioners, and he kept drinking alcohol in large quantities. These illegal acts were all condoned by the camp authorities.
At about 6:00 p.m. on July 11, 2006, the day after Ma Dacheng beat practitioner Zhang Zhilin, the guards of the Second Group in the camp launched another round of persecution. About ten practitioners, including Liu Guozhi, Zhang Bin, and Peng Jianfu, were taken out of the big shed and tortured individually. Liu Guozhi's head bled from repeated blows during the beatings. Peng Jianpu, who is over 60 years old, was beaten so severely that he could not walk afterwards. Some of these practitioners were then put into solitary confinement and had not been released before I left.
These accounts are but a few isolated examples in just one Chinese Communist forced-labor camp, a black den where practitioners are relentlessly ill-treated. I witnessed these brutalities in person. Many other incidents that I was not aware of occurred in other squadrons. The CCP is the true villain. It persecutes kind and innocent Falun Gong practitioners, who spread the truth. All the heavens condemn this persecution. I was also victimized by the Communist Party. I lost all of my fortune, and my family was shattered. Having set into motion this gigantic crime, the Party is still disguising the truth, deluding the people, and persecuting Falun Gong practitioners, using the pretext of the Seventeenth National People's Congress and the Olympic Games.
I want to take this chance to express my sincere apologies to all Falun Gong practitioners that I hurt and extend my deep regret for my crimes. I also want to advise those prison and labor camp guards that are still working hard for the Communist Party to turn away from their path toward doom, to turn away from their evil ways, and to understand the heavenly signs of our time. Follow, instead, the path of goodness, and choose a bright future for yourselves and your families.
