(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 17 cities or counties in 8 provinces. In this report, 44 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 15 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Xiajin County, Shangdong Province] Practitioner Ms. Tang Xilan from Hanwangmiao Village, Xiajin County Sentenced to 8 Years Imprisonment
2. [Xinxiang City, Henan Province] Additional Information on the Arrest of Practitioner Ms. Xu Yunxia
Ms. Xu Yunxia was reported while clarifying the truth to the local people at Baliying Village in the morning of December 13, 2007. She was then arrested by the policemen from Gaocun Police Station, Weibin District Police Sub-department. Ms. Xu is currently being held at Xinyuan Road Detention Center.
3. [Huaiyang County, Henan Province] A Practitioner's Husband Arrested
On December 10, 2007, practitioner Ms. Lei Xia from Yangzhang Village, Wangdian Township, Huaiyang County and her husband Mr. Zhang Guohua, who is not a practitioner, left home for work. At noon when Mr. Zhang Guohua went back home the policemen forced their way in and ransacked the house. They confiscated his mobile phone, Dafa books, truth-clarification materials and Teacher's portraits. Then, the policemen took Mr. Zhang to Huaiyang County Detention Center.
4. [Wanyuan City, Sichuan Province] Practitioner Ms. Fu Yuefeng Taken to Nanmusi Forced Labor Camp
In early December 2007, practitioner Ms. Fu Yuefen was sentenced to one year of forced labor and immediately sent to Nanmusi Forced Labor Camp in Sichuan Province for clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa. The agents from the local 610 Office and Ye Xudong, a policeman from the local National Security Division, were directly involved in her detention.
5. [Tianjin City] Practitioner Mr. Feng Kun Has Been Persecuted by Policemen from Beichen District Police Sub-department
Mr. Feng Kun was held at the Caozhuangzi No. 1 Detention Center of Tienjin City Police Department. On December 18, 2007 he was transferred to the Preliminary Hearing Office of Beichen District Police Sub-department, which detained Mr. Feng under criminal detention.
6. [Tianmen City, Hubei Province] Practitioner Mr. Fan Youjun Detained
Mr. Fan Youjun, about 50 years old, was arrested by the Tianmen City 610 Office in mid October 2007, and his home was ransacked as well. Currently, he is still being held at the Tianmen No. 1 Detention Center
7. [Hubei Province] About Twenty Practitioners Illegally Sentenced
About twenty practitioners who are currently detained at the Hubei Women's Forced Labor Camp have been sentenced from 2 to 3 years imprisonment.
8. [Shengli Oil Field, Shandong Province] Mr. Chou Zhufeng Has Been Sentenced to Two Years of Forced Labor
Practitioner Mr. Chou Zhufeng from the Heavy Oil Plant of Shengli Oil Field went to Beijing in October 2000 to appeal for justice for Falun Dafa. He was arrested and detained by the Beijing police. Thereafter, he was mistreated at his workplace and persecuted at brainwashing centers for a long period of time. On October 2, 2007, Mr. Chou went to Nanjing with his girlfriend for a tour. During their trip, they handed out truth-clarification materials, therefore they were tailed and arrested by local policemen. On November 2, he was taken to the brainwashing center run by the oil field's supply department for further persecution. Mr. Chou was sentenced to two years of forced labor on December 3, 2007. He is now being held at the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp, Zibo City.
9. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Mr. Wu Limin and Several Other Practitioners Sentenced to Forced Labor
Practitioners Mr. Wu Limin, Mr. Zhang Lihui, Ms. Liu Meishuang and Ms. Yi Meihong were reported by a student in the morning of November 24, 2007 while clarifying the truth on a bus in Gaotangling Township, Wangcheng County and were arrested. In the evening, they were badly beaten up at Wangcheng County Police Department. Their heads and faces were full of cuts and bruises and part of Ms. Liu Meishuang's hair was pulled out. Then, they were detained at the Wangcheng County Detention Center for nearly two weeks. Now, Mr. Wu Limin has been transferred to Xinkaipu Forced Labor Camp, and Ms. Liu Meishuang, Mr. Zhang Lihui and Ms. Yi Meihong have been transferred to Baimalong Forced Labor Camp in Zhuzhou City.
10. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yuan Xunke is Sent to a Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Yuan Xunke, a practitioner from Yuanliuli Village, Mucun Township, Fangzi District, Weifang City, was sentenced to forced labor after one month of detention. She is now being held at the Guanzhuang Township Forced Labor Camp in Zhangqiu City.
11. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Mr. Tang Naiquan Has Been Arrested
Mr. Tang Naiquan, a practitioner from Lengquanhe Village, Jingshankou Township, Weifang City was arrested shortly after 8:00 a.m. on November 14, 2007. In the afternoon the police took away cash and certificates of bank deposits totaling 27,000 yuan. Mr. Tang is currently being held at Weifang City Detention Center and his family members are not allowed to visit him.
12. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioner Ms. Li Yajie Arrested
Fifty-nine year-old Ms. Li Yajie is a practitioner from the No. 4 Oil Extraction Factory of Daqing City. She was arrested at 11:00 a.m. on December 17, 2007 by policemen from Honggang Police Substation, Daqing City Police Department. Her home was also ransacked afterwards.
13. [Gongyi City, Henan Province] Practitioner Ms. Wang Aimin Has Been Arrested
On the afternoon of December 15, 2007, practitioner Ms. Wang Aimin, who was a teacher from Beihou Primary School, Luzhuang Township, Gongyi City, was reported and arrested by policemen from the National Security Division, Gongyi City while clarifying the truth of Falun Dafa to her students. She is currently being held at Gongyi City Detention Center. Her family members are not allowed to visit her.
14. [Huaihua City, Hunan Province] Eight Practitioners Sentenced
On September 16, 2007, practitioners Mr. Zhu Zhouxiang, Ms. Wang Yuying, Ms. Yang Chunlan, Ms. Yang Yingde, Ms. Yi Huanmei, Ms. Li Huaxiu, Ms. Zhang Luying, Ms. Ai Yuhua, Ms Yie Yuanxin, Ms. Nie Guixiang, and Ms. Zuo Shuying went to Baozijiao Township in Huitong County, Hunan Province by bus in an effort to hand out truth-clarification materials. They were arrested by policemen from Huaihua City Police Department and agents from the Huitong County 610 Office. They are being held at Huitong County Detention Center.
Three older practitioners, including Ms. Nie Guixiang and Ms. Zuo Shuying, were released after being extorted out of five to ten thousand yuan each and their families being forced to sign a guarantee statement. The other eight practitioners were sentenced to various prison terms (Mr. Zhu to seven years, Ms. Wang Yuying and Ms. Yang Chunlan five years each, Ms. Zhang Luying four years, Ms. Ai Yuhua, Ms. Yi Huanmei and Ms. Yang Yingde three years each). Their families have still not been allowed to visit the detained practitioners.
15. [Huaihua City, Huan Province] Practitioner Ms. Yan Suishan Has Been Arrested
At 3:00 p.m. on December 20, 2007, Ms. Yan Suishan was reported and arrested while clarifying the truth in the streets in Huitong County.
16. [Fujian Province] Mr. Chen Hongcai Detained at the Xiamen No. 2 Detention Center
Mr. Chen Hongcai was sentenced to five years in prison for handing out truth-clarification VCDs at the two universities in Xiamen. He is now being held at the Xiamen No. 2 Detention Center.
17. [Tianjin City] Practitioner Mr. Lu Yuqing Sentenced to 15 Months of Forced Labor
Mr. Lu Yuqing, a practitioner from Limin Road, Hexi District, was arrested on November 21 by policemen from the Liulin Police Station, Hexi District while visiting a fellow practitioner. He was sentenced to 15 months forced labor by Liulin Police Station. Mr. Lu is currently being held at the Banqiao Forced Labor Camp, Tianjin City.
18. [Baishan City, Jilin Province] Practitioner Ms. Gong Qiumin and Two Other Practitioners Arrested
Practitioners Ms. Gong Qiumin, Ms. Xiao Xu and Ms. Xiao Wu from Jiangyuan District, Baishan City were arrested by policemen from the Jiangyuan District Police Department while clarifying the truth near Dayangcha. They are currently being held at Jiangyuan District Detention Center.
19. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Further Information about Mr. Gao Weixi and Several Other Practitioners Arrested in May 2007
The case files of practitioners Ms. Gao Weixi, Ms. Yang Youlan, Ms. Ma Xiurong, Ms. Chen Tong, Ms. Yang Defang, Mr. Zheng Donghui and Ms. Lao Cao, who were arrested on May 9, 2007, have been transferred from Luyuan District Procuratorate, Changchun City to the Criminal Section of the Luyuan District Court
20. [Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioner Mr. Wang Haiyang Has Been Arrested
At around 2:00 p.m. on December 19, 2007, Mr. Wang Haiyang was arrested by officers from the local police department and agents from the 610 Office. His personal computer used at work and some other equipment was confiscated.
21. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioner Ms. Zheng Liping Arrested
Practitioner Ms. Zheng Liping was arrested at home shortly after 7:00 p.m. on December 20, 2007, by Zhu Qiang, a police officer from Beian Police Station, and people from the neighborhood committee. Currently, she is being held at the Beian Police Station.
22. [Yanbian City, Jilin Province] Practitioner Ms. Ren Zhenzi from Wangqing County, Yanbian City Arrested
23. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Ms. Wang Jianru Arrested
On December 20, 2007, 52 year-old Ms. Wang Jianru from Jinzhou City went to Xinmin City Railway Station, Shenyang City to clarify the truth. She was reported and then arrested. Ms. Wang is now being detained at the Santaizi Detention Center in Xinmin City.
24. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] The Homes of Practitioner Mr. Wang Dezhi and Two Other Practitioners Have Been Ransacked
At 7:00 p.m. on December 18, 2007, Lin Yishui, head of the Xingnan Police Affairs Office, of Honggang District, Daqiang City, along with seven of his men, ransacked the homes of practitioners Mr. Wang Dezhi, Ms. Wei Shuqin and another older lady. Mr. Wang Dezhi managed to walk away safely, Ms. Wei Shuqin has been released and another older lady was taken away.
25. [Dongliao County, Jilin Province] Practitioner Ms. Yang Suqiu Has Been Arrested
In December 2007, practitioner Ms. Yang Suqiu from Cailan Village, Dongliao County was arrested and secretly sentenced to forced labor. Even her family does not know her whereabouts.
