These people started off as public servants, but under the intense pressure applied by the Jiang regime, they were pushed into persecuting Dafa disciples. The Death of Police Official Yao Yi in Hefei City
Yao Yi, 55, was transferred to Luyan District Police Department, Hefei City, around March or April 2008. He was in charge of the domestic security division. Yao Yi had been very active in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. In his new position, he continued to actively persecute practitioners and sent many of them in the Luyan District to the brainwashing sessions held at the Xinsu and Damusi Hotels. Some practitioners were then sent to detention centers or forced labor camps. For example, practitioner Ms. Zhu Ruiying stayed at home to take care of her retarded son. Yao Yi led police to break into her home and took both Ms. Zhu and her son to the brainwashing center.
In early September Yao Yi suffered a sudden stroke. When he was sent to the hospital, he was already unable to recognize those he knew. It was said he was in extreme pain with his eyes wide open and a tragic expression on his face. His head was swollen like a basketball which the doctors said was caused by extensive hemorrhaging in the brain. He died in pain two days later.
Yao Yi used to be very strong and healthy. His sudden death shocked the police. Some said he died from working too hard. Those with a clear mind know his death was retribution for his wrongdoing of actively following the CCP's directives in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners.
The Death of Police Officer Zhen Tongkang in Weinan City, Shanxi Province
Zhen Tongkang was the deputy of the Domestic Security Division in the Linwei District, Weinan City, Shanxi Province. He actively followed Jiang's regime to persecute Falun Gong. He plundered practitioners' property by raiding their homes. He extorted thousands of yuan from practitioners' families.
In 2003, he was diagnosed with hardening of the liver and ascites and was in extreme pain. He admitted in person that he did too many bad things. He died in July 2008.
