(Clearwisdom.net) I was very sad to hear that Ms. Li Ling had been persecuted to death not long after I was released from prison.

Ms. Li Ling was one of the first practitioners I knew who had attended Teacher's lectures in person. In 1996, I bought a copy of Zhuan Falun at a bookshop. I have read it many times and know that Falun Dafa is good. The first exercise site I went to was in the Guta District of Jinzhou City, where Li Ling was the coordinator. There were around 100 practitioners there practicing the exercises. Ms. Li had a great deal of patience teaching the movements to new practitioners. Later I began participating in the Fa study group at her home and learned that she had attended Teacher's lectures many times while he was still teaching in China. I was very envious of her and began to imitate her actions and words. She always calmly told me, "I am only an ordinary practitioner. We should take the Fa as Teacher." I asked her, "I haven't attended Teacher's class. Will Teacher still look after me?" She replied, "As along as you are willing to learn, Teacher will be there for you."

The next day I took my son to school on the back of my bicycle, and he suddenly said, "Dad, look, there are spinning pinwheels on your shoulders, hands, and head." I realized that it must be the Falun spinning. I thought to myself, "Teacher is indeed with me." When my son got home after school, he told everyone about what he saw and wanted to go and buy a pinwheel for himself.

A week later, I felt that Teacher was purifying my body. I experienced diarrhea, which lasted for the entire week. Afterwards I felt very light, and it was the first time in my life that I truly felt the joy of an illness-free body. I discarded the medication that I had taken for the past thirty years. I spent a lot of time with Ms. Li Ling, and we used our holidays and weekends to go everywhere to spread Falun Dafa to others in the hopes of saving more sentient beings.

During our time together I got to know Ms. Li quite well. I found out that she previously had been the director of the Bureau of Labor Resources in Jinzhou City. She also had many serious illnesses at that time. However, after attending Teacher's lectures, all her illnesses disappeared. Despite this, she was always humble and never thought of herself as being above others. Also, no matter what the weather, she was always the first to arrive at the exercise site to clean the surrounding area and then wait for others to arrive. She often told everyone, "We must take the Fa as Teacher. Falun Gong is good for society and everyone in it. We must cultivate to a higher state of morality than today's society. Falun Dafa is the universal Fa. We are not interested in any politics."

In 1998, when Jiang Zemin's group started creating incidents to discredit us, each time Ms. Li told us, "We are practitioners. We must base our cultivation on the universal principle of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. We need to be calm, have patience, and explain the facts about Falun Gong to people. Tell people what Falun Gong is and that we are not interested in any form of politics."

Despite this, Jiang Zemin acted out of jealousy and started the horrific persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in July 1999. Soon after the persecution started, Li Ling went to the local government, and eventually to Beijing, to clarify the truth about Jiang Zemin's persecution of practitioners. She never stopped clarifying the truth about Jiang Zemin's cruel torture of innocent civilians, and about the lies of the Chinese Communist Party. On November 17, 2004, she was tortured to death.

Ms. Li Ling, when you were captured, as you sought to clarify the truth, some police officers were crazy and shouted, "Jinzhou is finally at peace, and we can finally sleep." But they were wrong. Li Ling may have died, but more practitioners are standing up to clarify the truth.

As long as the evil still roams free, Falun Dafa practitioners will not stop clarifying the truth. They will clarify the truth until the Chinese Communist Party's demise, the eradication of evil, and the awakening of humanity.
