(Clearwisdom.net) I was fortunate to participate in a big parade in Hong Kong on September 20. We were protesting the persecution of Falun Gong.
I didn't register my name as a participant in the parade because I wasn't sure if I would arrive in time, as I was taking a flight on the same day as the parade was to be held. I was unable to leave earlier because I had to finish a lot of work on the day before the parade. Thankfully, my fellow practitioners compassionately reminded me; which caused me to reconsider it with righteous thoughts and I finally decided to take an early flight to Hong Kong on the day of the parade. While making my decision, I deeply understood the meaning of the sentence, "success or failure depends on one thought." If we are able to remember Teacher, Dafa, and our own missions during a critical moment, we will definitely be able to pass all of our tests.
Since I made the decision in haste there was little time to buy the airline tickets. The fellow practitioner who helped me to order the tickets unintentionally misspelled my name on the reservation on the day before my departure. In order to correct this small mistake, the practitioner sent text messages on her cell phone six times in one day to confirm that my ticket number and other information was accurate, even though she was very busy at work. She worked on my ticket until midnight, and then finally I had a ticket with my name spelled correctly. I deeply felt from my heart that fellow practitioner's compassion, which made me determined to go to Hong Kong with righteous thoughts and successfully participate in the parade.
I arrived at the airport at 4:00 a.m.. Although I had only slept for a bit over 30 minutes that night, I didn't feel sleepy or tired at all. I knew this was because Teacher mercifully strengthened me. The airplane arrived at the Hong Kong International Airport around 11:00 a.m. We didn't have time to eat lunch since it was a long drive from the airport to the location of the parade. About 10 fellow practitioners and I hurriedly went to Victoria Park in Causeway Bay, and put on our costumes. With empty stomachs, we marched in the parade with the Divine Land Marching Band from Taiwan. As the conductor waved his baton, the great Divine Land Marching Band started playing, and the music resounded up in the sky over Victoria Park and Causeway Bay.
It was really inconceivable that although I hadn't slept for a whole night and hadn't eaten for a whole day, I didn't feel tired or hungry. I unexpectedly felt light as a feather, surrounded by a great energy field, and I felt more energy pouring into my body. The Divine Land Marching Band led the march as it passed through the crowded Causeway Bay Avenue and Wanzai Avenue. The area was full of residents and tourists standing on both sides of the street watching the parade. During the march, I saw an older lady giving two thumbs up in praise of the Band's performance. Next, the neat Divine Land Marching Band led the the parade through the busy areas of the Sheung Wan and Hong Kong Island, and then on to the Liaison Office. The wonderful and delightful music played by the Divine Land Marching Band resounded through the cloudy sky that day, and attracted a large number of people. After we arrived at the Liaison Office, a Falun Dafa practitioner read an open letter in front of the main entrance. The practitioner mercifully reminded the officials who had followed the CCP and participated in the persecution of Falun Gong, that they should not cooperate with the CCP or commit crimes any longer. Instead, they should choose a bright and righteous way for themselves and their families. Although we marched several kilometers, it felt like the parade was over in an instant and I didn't feel tired at all, which is a manifestation of the supernatural and wonderful nature of Dafa.
Teacher said in "Teaching the Fa in the City of Los Angeles:"
"When the band was playing, the energy they emitted was tremendous. Be it the energy emitted, the sounds you made, or the music and notes themselves, they all had the effect of validating the Fa and sending out energy." ("Teaching the Fa in the City of Los Angeles," February 25, 2006)
As we played the music and marched in the parade, I saw a tourist with surprised eyes, and another tourist stare with an open mouth as they watched the band.
Teacher also said in "Teaching the Fa in the City of Los Angeles:"
"When the students who are part of the band were playing, they themselves were actually moved. They felt it was truly sacred." ("Teaching the Fa in the City of Los Angeles," February 25, 2006)
In fact it was exactly like Teacher said. Everyone who participated in the parade was moved and indeed felt sacred.
