(Clearwisdom.net) Because I am a steadfast practitioner, Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials in our local area designated one of our neighbors to monitor me. However, I still go out daily to tell people the facts about Falun Gong. With Master's protection, and fortified by our supernatural abilities, what can the evil forces do to me? Before leaving my residence each day, I would send very strong righteous thoughts to overcome the evil beings that manipulate my neighbor. She would then usually go out, so I could go about my business without interference.
One afternoon in March 2008, seeing that my neighbor was out, I did not send righteous-thoughts. Putting copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party in my bag, I left my home but soon ran into my neighbor. Staring at my bag, she rushed toward me to grab it. Quickly, with strong righteous thoughts, I said loudly, "What do you want to do? You are really very evil!" I silently sent righteous thoughts and asked Master at the same time to strengthen my power. Shocked, she immediately walked away while telling me not to be too serious, because she was "just joking."
Returning home that day I studied the Fa and searched inside to recollect what I could have done wrong. Master said,
"When a tribulation arrives, if you, a disciple, can truly maintain an unshakable calm or be determined to meet different requirements at different levels, this should be sufficient for you to pass the test. If it continues endlessly and if there do not exist other problems in your Xinxing or conduct, it must be that the evil demons are capitalizing on the weak spots caused by your lack of control. After all, a cultivator is not an ordinary human. So why doesn't the side of you that is your original nature rectify the Fa?" ("Expounding on the Fa,"Essentials for Further Advancement)
I had tried to tell her something about Falun Gong, but she would not listen. For the past few years she had assisted the CCP to persecute Falun Gong and even said, "I don't believe in retribution!" The merciful Buddha Fa has given her many opportunities, however she hadn't woken up from her constant evil deeds. I strengthened my righteous thoughts to eliminate all the rotten ghosts and evil spirits from other dimensions that have manipulated her and interfered with my efforts to save people. I thought, "If she continues to interfere me, allow her to experience retribution!"
And quickly, retribution came! Two days later, she became ill and was taken away by ambulance. She was bedridden for four months, and her life was miserable. She had to spend a large amount of money to hire expensive caretakers to assist her in her daily life, but the workers did not even want to serve her. Lying in bed, she struggled for her life and acknowledged that retribution had really come!
Being a practitioner I did not hate her, but felt mercy. She was also a victim. The CCP's evil propaganda demons had poisoned her mind, and the retribution was to stop her from doing more evil deeds. I would still help her and save her.
Master said,
"Here is a thought on the subject. I told you a long time ago that a Dafa disciple, or a cultivator, has no enemies. The only thing you have a role in is saving people, and you have nothing to do with using human means and human principles to punish or pronounce judgment on people. This is a fundamental issue!" ("Teaching the Fa in the City of Chicago," June 26, 2005)
A few days later I went to the hospital to see her. Before I said anything she got very excited. Grabbing my hands she started to cry and said, "I'm sorry for what I did to you and your Master. Please help me! Please beg your Master to save this guilty person who has done things wrong. I have committed huge crimes against the heavenly law. When you told me previously of the facts of Falun Gong I would not listen, as if I was possessed by ghosts. The four months of misery in bed gave me many opportunities to remember all the things you told me about Falun Gong. Every single word of what you said is one hundred percent true. I have just awakened today and understand that your Master is here to save people. Your group of people are Buddha's disciples and are all good people. I had monitored you and followed you for so many years, but you still came to see me today. It is all my fault!"
I told her, "Master had given you several opportunities during the past few years. During the past two years you were hospitalized three times but considered it nothing out of the ordinary and continued to do bad deeds. Those were opportunities Master had given you to repent. Master was saving you. Finally you understood. You should listen to what our Master says. Master is the only one who can save you."
She cried and cried. Holding my hands tightly she repeatedly begged Master to forgive her and also asked my forgiveness. She promised that she would listen to me in the future.
I gave her a card with "Falun Dafa is Good" on it and told her to keep that with her, and that she needed to sincerely repent and repeatedly chant, "Falun Dafa is Good," and "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is Good." If she were faithful and sincere and truly regretted her former deeds, our merciful Master would for surely save her.
Nodding her head, she cried and vowed that she would no longer do any bad deeds. She would use her future actions to make up for her past bad deeds.
From then on, she would constantly say, "Falun Dafa is Good" "Truth-Compassion-Forbearance is good," and "Master Li, please come and save me!"
A week later she could walk with the aid of a cane. Seeing her walking, neighbors were surprised. She told people that it was Falun Gong's Master who had saved her. She also renounced all her CCP memberships. After a month she walked unaided.
Once she commented happily, "Thank your Master Li for saving me, a guilty person. I get up at 4:30 in the morning. I then often sit outside with my hands conjoined and call to the sky, "Master Li, I'm here to ask for your forgiveness! Please forgive me all the bad deeds I've done before. I will do my best to make up for all the mistakes I made. I am sorry for what I have done to you and your disciples!" After that, I would repeatedly chant, "Falun Dafa is good; Truth-Compassion-Forbearance is good."
She also said that she would assist Master to rescue people to make up for the wrong deeds she had previously done.
