I am a young practitioner from Heilongjiang Province and would like to share my cultivation experience.
Prior to July 20, 1999, my parents' home was a practice site. Many practitioners came to our home for Fa-study and to do the exercises. I was only one year old then. When some practitioners occasionally became drowsy and sleepy, I would walk over and poke them. When practitioners were doing the sitting meditation, if anyone's hands fell, I would pick their hands up. They said I had come for the Fa--a young practitioner present to monitor their diligence.
When the evildoers began persecuting Falun Dafa and practitioners beginning on July 20, 1999, my father decided to leave home to avoid further persecution. Although my mother still practiced, she wasn't diligent. I did not meet the standard of a young practitioner, either. Five years later my father returned home. My family did not watch TV in order to purify our cultivation environment, and no game software was installed in our computer. We utilized the computer to produce "truth-clarification" materials. Since my father's return, my whole family is once again conscientious about doing the Three Things well.
Fa study
To improve as part of the whole body and to catch up with Fa-rectification, my mom and dad started a Fa-study group. At first I was very unwilling to participate and refused to pay attention to reading the Fa. Sometimes I intentionally brought home unfinished homework I could have finished at school so that I didn't have to join Fa study. When Master published the article "Sifting the Sand" I realized that it was the last stage of the Fa-rectification and that I need to strive forward diligently.
Now I complete my homework at school to leave adequate time to study the Fa. Each morning at 7:00 a.m. during the summer break, I went to a neighboring practitioner's to study the Fa and went home for breakfast when we were done at 9:00 a.m. I did that the entire break. Mother said I had changed a lot. Daily Fa study opened my insight and made me more academically accomplished. Writing an essay had previously been very difficult for me: my parents even had to help out. But now I can finish them quickly. My teacher read every one of my essays to the whole class as examples of good essays.
Many young practitioners in my area didn't have a group Fa study environment. I wanted to set up a young practitioner Fa-study group to study during weekends for two hours. Schoolwork during the rest of the week made the weekend a good choice. There were only two of us initially, because certain young practitioners' parents put obstacles in my way. Then, young practitioners eventually realized that they should participate in group-Fa study. More and more joined. We recently added one more hour for exercises. By doing group Fa-study and group exercises, we can improve as a whole body.
Clarifying the truth
I often clarify the truth to my classmates and try to persuade them to quit the Chinese Communist Party and its youth organizations. First I speak about current cosmic changes, natural disasters in 2008, the Communist Party's corruption, to name a few subjects, to familiarize my classmates with the issues. If a person's mind has been poisoned very deeply I make casual conversation to begin with. When the person eventually understands, then I urge him to quit the Party. If my classmates think what I say is reasonable, I seize that opportunity and act as a third party to try to persuade them to withdraw. So far, I have successfully helped a few dozen people quit the Party.
Distributing truth-clarification materials
Distributing truth-clarification materials is also a good way to offer sentient beings salvation. When I went with my parents to hand out materials before, I did it carelessly. Now I have realized its importance. Each time I hand someone a leaflet or brochure I do the Heishi gesture and say to the piece of material, "As a Fa-implement to save people, you should feel honored. You should display Dafa's mighty power to save sentient beings and frighten the evil!"
Every weekend around 2:00 or 3:00 p.m. I go out alone to distribute truth-clarification materials. Those who work have already gone to work and everyone else is taking an afternoon nap, so few people are in the streets. One day when I went to a residential area, the burglar-proof metal door didn't open. I placed a disc on the door with a piece of double-sided tape. After I had taken only three steps away, the door opened. A father and daughter stepped out. That little girl saw the disc as soon as she turned her head. She asked her father, "What is that?" He said, "The Chinese New Year Spectacular." As he said it, he took the disc off the door and said to his daughter, "Let's go to your grandma's and watch it!" Hearing those words moved me deeply. Sentient beings are awakening and waiting for Dafa to save them.
We young practitioners also need to do the Three Things well, seize time to cultivate solidly and diligently, and offer salvation to sentient beings.
