(Clearwisdom.net) On November 22, Falun Dafa practitioners' Divine Land Marching Band participated in the Christmas Parade in Montreal. Legend has it that the parade started in 1925 to mark the date that Santa Clause visited the city. The parade attracts more than 300,000 spectators every year.

Due to a scheduling conflict, Montreal Falun Dafa practitioners could not participate as a group in this parade. The parade organizing committee was regretful and invited the practitioners to come back next year. In view of the cordial invitation from the committee and high expectation from hundreds of thousands of people, Toronto and Ottawa practitioners arranged for the Divine Land Marching Band to perform in Montreal.
Wherever the marching band passed by, the crowd would calm down and spectators' demeanor became very respectful. Many people pressed their hands in front of their chests and/or bowed. Now and then, one could hear Westerners shouting: "Falun Dafa", "Falun Dafa Hao (is good)." This reporter was walking behind the band and received special treatment as people in succession greeted her by saying "Ni Hao" [Hello] or bowing. In particular, this reporter was very pleased to see so many Chinese people acting very friendly toward the band. Some of them posed by the band to take pictures as a souvenir.
Quebec TVA TV broadcast the parade live and will replay the recording over the next few days.
